Description
この所定の電圧を印加する際に使用される電圧は、直流、交流、高周波、パルスのいずれでもよいが、短絡、スパーク、アーク放電等の電極対の間全体に電流が流れるような大きな電圧ではなく、空間的かつ時間的にランダムに発生と消滅を繰り返す微小発光放電、即ち、シンチレーションと呼ばれる部分放電が発生する電圧とする。

Claims (13)
- 排ガス中の粒子状物質を捕捉する絶縁性捕捉部材の上流側の表面又は表面近傍に、電極対を1対以上配置し、該電極対間に、前記絶縁性捕捉部材の表面で捕捉した前記粒子状物質の堆積量の増加に伴って電極対の間の粒子状物質堆積層に電位差が形成され、前記絶縁性捕捉部材の表面上に空間的かつ時間的にランダムに発生と消滅を繰り返す微小発光放電を発生させる所定の電圧を印加し、この所定の電圧の印加によって発生した前記微小発光放電により、前記絶縁性捕捉部材に捕捉された粒子状物質を燃焼除去することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化方法。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材が粒子状物質を含む排ガスを通過させて前記粒子状物質を捕捉する絶縁性フィルタであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- 排ガス中の粒子状物質を捕捉する絶縁性捕捉部材と、該絶縁性捕捉部材の上流側の表面又は表面近傍に1対以上配置された電極対と、該電極対間に所定の電圧を印加する電圧印加装置とを備えた排ガス浄化システムであって、電圧印加装置が、前記絶縁性捕捉部材の表面で捕捉した前記粒子状物質の堆積量の増加に伴って電極対の間の粒子状物質堆積層に電位差が形成され、前記絶縁性捕捉部材の表面上に空間的かつ時間的にランダムに発生と消滅を繰り返す微小発光放電を発生させる所定の電圧を印加することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材が粒子状物質を含む排ガスを通過させて前記粒子状物質を捕捉する絶縁性フィルタであることを特徴とする請求項3記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記所定の電圧を、前記電極対間の電流電圧特性が非線形となる領域の電圧とすることを特徴とする請求項3又は4記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材の上流側に、排ガス中の微粒子を帯電させるための帯電手段を配置したことを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材をセラミック繊維フィルタで形成することを特徴とする請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材に酸化触媒を担持させたことを特徴とする請求項3〜7のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記絶縁性捕捉部材の上流側、または、下流側に酸化触媒を配置したことを特徴とする請求項3〜8のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記所定の電圧を、前記電極対間の電流電圧特性が、該電極対間に印加する直流電圧又は交流電力の電圧波高値と電流の関係において、比例関係が崩れる特定の電圧の1.05倍〜2.2倍の範囲内の直流電圧又は交流電力の電圧波高値となる領域の電圧とすることを特徴とする請求項3〜9のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記所定の電圧は、電極対間の距離をdcmとした時に、下限を450×dV〜900×dVの範囲内の値とし、上限を1000×dV〜1800×dVの範囲内の値とすることを特徴とする請求項3〜10のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 前記所定の電圧を、前記電極対間の電流電圧特性が、該電極対間に印加する直流電圧又は交流電力の電圧波高値と電流の関係において、比例関係が崩れる特定の電圧の1.05倍〜2.2倍の範囲内の直流電圧又は交流電力の電圧波高値となる領域の電圧とすることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の排ガス浄化方法。
- 前記所定の電圧は、電極対間の距離をdcmとした時に、下限を450×dV〜900×dVの範囲内の値とし、上限を1000×dV〜1800×dVの範囲内の値とすることを特徴とする請求項1、2又は12記載の排ガス浄化方法。
