この目的は、クレーム1に規定されるような調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨によって達成される。この発明のさらなる発展はサブクレームに規定される。

調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨は円筒形の中心部品1を有する。中心部品は、中心部品の軸方向に沿う中央部の高くなったリング2と、両側の隣接した部分におけるねじ切り部分3および4とを含む。一方の部分3は左ねじとして形成され、他方の部分4は右ねじとして形成される。リング2は周辺に配分されたボア5を有し、ねじ切り部分3および4は同軸方向に整列された菱形の開口6を有する。
さらに、内側でねじ切り部分4のねじ山と協力するねじ山を含んだ円筒形の第1の部品7が存在する。動作において、第1の部品7はねじ切り部分4にねじ込まれる。壁は、周方向かつ軸方向にずれた位置に設けられる菱形開口6を有する材料から形成される。複数個の周方向に間隔を開けられた歯がリング2から離れた方向を向く第1の部品の自由端に形成される。図1に示されるように、歯は菱形6の並びの中心線に沿う周方向に端縁を位置決めすることによって形成される。
第2の部品9が第1の部品とは異なっているのは、その内部ねじ山がねじ切り部分3のねじ山と協力するように形成されているという点においてのみである。動作において、第2の部品はねじ切り部分3にねじ込まれる。
好ましくは、2つのねじ切り部分3および4における菱形開口6が第1および第2の部品の菱形と同じ大きさおよび空間的配列を有する。リング2の外径はそれぞれ第1の部品7および第2の部品9の外径と案質的に等しい。
好ましくは、代替物のための材料はそれぞれチタン薄板金またはチタンチューブであり、いずれの場合においてもこれは生物学的適合材料であるべきである。
動作において、説明された代替椎骨は、ねじ込まれる間、支持されるべき部分の間に単に配置されるだけであり、その高さはリング2を回転させることによって調節される。図4aに従って、代替椎骨は最小の高さを有する開始位置にほぼ完全にねじ込まれるが、図4bに示される位置では、高さはねじを緩めることによって増大される。隣接部分との係合は歯8による回転を禁止するように固定される。
中空の代替椎骨の内部にもたらされるべき骨物質は開口5および6を介して容易に成長可能である。
図3は、上述された代替椎骨のためのねじ山回転ロックの実施例を示す。押さえねじまたはグラブねじ11は、図3に示される態様で中心部品の対応のねじ切り部分のねじ山に係合し、そこにロックをもたらすように、リング2に面する第1の部品7の端部10において半径方向に装着される。図3に示されるように、グラブねじは第1の部品のジャケット内に設けられたねじ山によって導かれる。
図2に最もよく示されるように、部品7、7′、9の各々のジャケットの設計のために、適切な薄板せん断機を用いて所望の傾斜に対応する部分13を切断して、それによって傾斜した係合面12′を作ることによって、隣接した椎骨と係合するように端部面12の傾斜を容易に適合させることが可能となる。材料の選択のために、新しい係合面12′は対応の歯8′も含む。動作において、ねじ11は、リング2で中心部品1を回転させることによって高さを調節した後にロックされ、そうして、それ自体によるねじの緩みに対してしっかりと締められる安定したロックを達成する。
Claims (8)
- 第1の端縁に隣接した左上がりのねじ山(3)と第2の端縁に隣接した右上がりのねじ山(4)とを含むスリーブ形状の中心部品(1)と、周方向に間隔をおいて並ぶ複数個の開口(6)を備えた壁を有する円筒形の第1の部品(7)と、周方向に間隔をおいて並ぶ複数個の開口(6)を備えた壁を有する円筒形の第2の部品(9)とを有した調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨であって、前記第1の部品(7)は、前記中心部品の左上がりの前記ねじ山と協力するねじ山を有し、第2の部品(9)は右上がりのねじ山と協力するねじ山を有し、前記第1および第2の部品は各々の自由端に複数個の歯(8)が設けられた、代替椎骨。
- 前記第1および第2の部品(7,9)の各々の前記ねじ山が、前記自由端とは反対側の端縁に設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- 前記中心部品(1)の前記ねじ山が外部ねじ山として形成され、前記第1および第2の部品(7、9)のねじ山が内部ねじ山として形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- 前記中心部品(1)が、前記第1および第2の部品(7、9)に対して前記中心部品(1)を回転させるために左上がりの前記ねじ山(3)と右上がりの前記ねじ山(4)との間に設けられた部分(5)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- 回転に対して少なくとも前記第1および第2の部品(7、9)の一方に関して前記中心部品(1)をロックするための装置(11、12)が設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- 前記中心部品(1)の前記ねじ山(3,4)が形成された領域に、前記第1および第2の部品(7,9)の開口(6)と同じ大きさおよび空間配列を有する開口(6)を有し、前記第1および第2の部品(7、9)および前記中心部品における前記開口(6)が、対角線の方向が前記中心部品の軸方向に実質的に延びる菱形に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- チタン薄板金またはチタンチューブ材料がそれぞれ材料として選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
- チタンチューブ材料が材料として用いられることを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の調節可能な高さを有する代替椎骨。
