Description
以下、本発明の第1実施形態に係る水の光分解装置について図面を参照しつつ説明する。図1は、第1実施形態に係る水の光分解装置の概略構成を示す断面図である。
(第2実施形態)
以下、本発明に係る水の光分解装置の第2実施形態について図面を参照しつつ説明する。図3は、本実施形態に係る水の光分解装置の概略構成を示す断面図である。本実施形態が、第1実施形態と相違するのは、第2の空間及びその周囲のケーシングの構成であり、その他の構成については第1実施形態と同様であるので、同一構成には同一符号を付して詳しい説明を省略する。
(第3実施形態)
本発明の第3実施形態について図面を参照しつつ説明する。図4は、第3実施形態に係る水の光分解装置を示す断面図である。本実施形態が上記各実施形態と相違するのは、ケーシングの構成であり、その他の構成は第1実施形態と同様である。
(実施例1)
助触媒RuO2を1.0重量%担持したTiO2光触媒粒子を、シリカ多孔体に分散し、光分解層を作製した。光触媒粒子は次のように生成した。まず、二酸化チタン2.0gに、塩化ルテニウム水溶液50mlを加え、蒸発乾固した。その後、これを110℃で乾燥し、生成された乾燥物を空気中で400℃にて8時間加熱処理することにより、粉末状の1.0重量%RuO2/TiO2を得た。その平均粒径は約0.5μmであった。次に、得られた光触媒粒子を、テトラメトキシシランとエタノールとアンモニア水溶液(0.1規定)とをモル比で1対3対4になるように調製したシリカ原料液に懸濁し、容器に入れてゲル化して固体化した複合湿潤ゲル層を得た。続いて、この湿潤ゲルの内部の溶媒をアセトンに置換してから、超臨界乾燥にて乾燥させ、乾燥ゲルを得た。超臨界乾燥の条件は、二酸化炭素を乾燥媒体として用い、圧力12MPa、温度50℃の条件で4時間経過後に、圧力を徐々に開放し、大気圧にしてから降温した。以上の工程により、光触媒粒子が分散されたシリカ多孔体(平均膜厚0.5mm)を得た。光触媒粒子の担持量は約0.23mg/cm3であった。
(実施例2)
実施例1と同様の手法で、光分解層を作成した。すなわち、助触媒RuO2を1.0重量%担持したTiO2光触媒粒子(平均粒径約0.5μm)をシリカ多孔体(平均膜厚0.5mm)に分散させて光分解層を作成した。この光分解層を図3に示すような装置に取り付けた。また、水層としてNaHCO3水溶液(0.1mol/l)を用いた。そして、ケーシング内をロータリーポンプで真空排気した後、導入口からアルゴンガスを1.3×104Pa(約100Torr)導入し、太陽光を照射した。そして、水素分離膜により分離・回収された水素、つまり第2の排出口から排出された水素の量を測定した結果、その生成量は、太陽光量当たりで換算すると、190μmol/kW・hであった。また、回収したガスをガスクロマトグラフで分析した結果、純度95%以上の高純度水素が得られていることが分かった。

Claims (29)
- 外部からの光が入射可能なケーシングと、
前記ケーシング内に収容される光分解層とを備え、
前記光分解層は、光透過性のある多孔体と、この多孔体に担持される光触媒とを有し、
前記光分解層の下方には、第1の空間を介して液体状の水を含む水層が配置され、
前記ケーシング内において前記光分解層の上方には密閉された第2の空間が形成されており、
前記水層から発生した水蒸気が前記第1の空間を介して前記光分解層に導入され、前記光によって励起された前記光触媒により前記水蒸気が水素と酸素とに分解され、前記水素及び酸素は前記第2の空間に拡散する、水の光分解装置。 - 前記水層は前記ケーシングの内部に収容されている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングには、前記水層と接し、且つ、前記光を吸収可能な光熱変換層が設けられている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記光熱変換層は、前記水層の下面に配置される金属薄膜で構成されている、請求項3に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記光熱変換層は、前記水層の下面に配置される黒色の板体で構成されている、請求項3に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングの底部には開口が形成され、前記水層は前記開口を介して外部からケーシング内に導入される、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングは、前記水層に浮かんだ状態で設置されている、請求項6に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記水層は、屋内外のスイミングプール、海、池、または湖の水によって形成される、
請求項7に記載の水の光分解装置。 - 前記ケーシングの壁面には、当該ケーシング内部の水層に液体状の水を導入する導入口が形成されている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングの底部には、開口が形成されている、請求項9に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングの底部が前記水層の底に接触することで、当該ケーシングが設置される、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングは無色透明の部材で構成されている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記光は太陽光である、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記多孔体は三次元網目構造を有し、粒子状の光触媒を担持する、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記多孔体の空孔率は、50%以上98%以下である、請求項14に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記多孔体の表面が撥水化処理されている、請求項14に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングの内壁面には、前記第2の空間内のガスを外部に排出する排気口が形成されている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記第2の空間は、減圧雰囲気にされている、請求項17に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記ケーシングの壁面には、前記第2の空間内に不活性ガスを導入する導入口が形成されている、請求項17に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記第2の空間は、水素分離膜を介して上下方向に並ぶ2つのガス集積部に分離されており、
前記ケーシングの壁面には、前記水素分離膜の上方に位置するガス集積部から外部にガスを排出する排出口が形成されている、請求項1に記載の水の光分解装置。 - 前記ケーシングの壁面には、前記水素分離膜の下方に位置するガス集積部に不活性ガスを導入する導入口が形成されている、請求項20に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 前記水素分離膜の上方に位置するガス集積部の圧力は、他方のガス集積部の圧力よりも小さくされており、両ガス集積部の圧力差は、1.3×104Pa以上1×106Pa以下である、請求項20に記載の水の光分解装置。
- 光透過性のある多孔体とこの多孔体に担持される光触媒とを備えた光分解層を、液体状の水を含む水層上に、第1の空間を介して配置するステップと、
前記光分解層に光を照射するステップと、
前記水層から発生した水蒸気が前記第1の空間を介して前記光分解層に導入されると、前記光によって励起された前記光触媒により前記水蒸気を水素と酸素とに分解するステップと
を備えている水の光分解方法であって、
前記光分解層は、光が入射可能なケーシング内に配置され、
前記ケーシング内において前記光分解層の上方には密閉された第2の空間が形成されており、当該第2の空間に前記水素及び酸素が捕集される、水の光分解方法。 - 前記光分解層の下方には、前記水層と接触する光熱変換層が配置されている、請求項23に記載の水の光分解方法。
- 前記光は太陽光である、請求項23に記載の水の光分解方法。
- 前記多孔体は三次元網目構造を有し、粒子状の光触媒を担持する、請求項23に記載の水の光分解方法。
