【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は端面に複数の冷却風取入口が設けられたハウジングを有する電動工具に関するものである。以下、電動工具を携帯用丸のことして説明する。

【従来の技術】
従来の携帯用丸のこの一例を図４〜図７に示す。図４は従来の携帯用丸のこの一例を示す要部拡大斜視図、図５は図４のＤ−Ｄ線相当断面図、図６は携帯用丸のこの使用状態の一例を示す斜視図、図７は携帯用丸のこの使用状態の一例を示す斜視図である。
図に示すように電動機２及び電動機２に取付けられた図示しない冷却ファンを収納するハウジング１の端面１ａには複数の冷却風取入口４が設けられている。
携帯用電機丸のこは、工具交換時等に図７に示すようにハウジング１の端面１ａを床面等に当接させて本体を安定させることができるように、ハウジング１の端面１ａをほぼ平面に形成していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
携帯用丸のこは図６に示すように、一方の手でハンドル８を保持し、他方の手でハウジング１の端面１ａを保持しながら使用されることがあるが、端面１ａは上記したようにほぼ平面に形成されているため、端面１ａを保持する手によって端面１ａに設けられた複数の冷却風取入口４が塞がれてしまい、ハウジング１内に流入される冷却風の量が低下してしまう、あるいは完全に冷却風が流入されなくなってしまいハウジング１内の冷却作用が低下してしまうという不具合があった。
本発明の目的は、上記不具合を解消し、ハウジング内の冷却作用の低下を防止することができる電動工具を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的は、冷却風取入口が設けられているハウジング端面の一部に凹部を設けると共に、外周部の一部に凹部と連通する切欠き部を設けることにより達成される。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明携帯用丸のこの一実施形態を図１〜図３に示す。図１は本発明携帯用丸のこの一実施形態を示す要部拡大斜視図、図２は図１のＡ−Ａ線相当断面図、図３は図２のＢ−Ｂ線相当断面図である。なお、従来の携帯用丸のこと同一の部位には同一の符号を付したので説明を省略する。
図１、図２に示すようにハウジング１の端面１ａには、複数の冷却風取入口４が設けられていると共に冷却風取入口４が設けられている端面１ａのほぼ中央部には凹部５が形成されている。また、端面１ａの外周部６は図に示すように平面に形成されており、携帯用丸のこ本体を図７のように安定させることができるようにしている。

端面１ａの外周部６の一部には図３に示すように凹部５と連通する切欠き部７が設けられており、このような構成とすることによって、ハウジング１の端面１ａが手によって保持されたとしても、凹部５が形成されていることにより冷却風取入口４が直接手によって塞がれてしまうことを防止できるようになると共に、凹部５と連通する切欠き部７が外周部６の一部に設けられているので冷却風が切欠き部７及び凹部５を経由し冷却風取入口４からハウジング１内に流入することができ、ハウジング１内に流入される冷却風の量が低下してしまう、あるいは完全に冷却風がハウジング１内に流入しなくなるようなことを防止することができる。従って、ハウジング１の端面１ａが手によって保持されたとしてもハウジング１内の冷却作用が低下してしまうことを防止できる。

なお、本発明を携帯用丸のこを用いて説明したが、ハウジング１の端面１ａに冷却風取入口４が設けられた構成をした電動工具であれば、上記した効果と同様の効果を得ることができる。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、冷却風取入口が設けられているハウジング端面の一部に凹部を設けると共に、外周の一部に凹部と連通する切欠き部を設けた構成とすることにより、ハウジング端面を保持しながら作業を行ったとしても、ハウジング内に流入する冷却風の量が低下することを防止でき、ハウジング内の冷却作用の低下を防止する電動工具を提供することができるようになる。

Claims (2)

  1. 電動機及び電動機に取付けられる冷却ファンを収納し、端面に複数の冷却風取入口が設けられたハウジングを有する電動工具であって、
    前記冷却風取入口が設けられているハウジング端面の一部に凹部を設けると共に、外周の一部に凹部と連通する切欠き部を設けたことを特徴とする電動工具。
  2. 前記ハウジング端面の外周部を平面としたことを特徴とする請求項１記載の電動工具。
