【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、幼児用、大人用、ある
いは失禁者用の使い捨ておむつに関し、特に、いわゆる
パンツ型の使い捨ておむつに関する。

【従来の技術】一般に、パンツ型おむつは、特開昭６１
−２０７６０５号公報に開示されているように、液透過
性のトップシートと、液不透過性のバックシートと、こ
れら両シート間に介在された吸収体とから構成された縦
長の本体を備え、該本体の長手方向に沿う両側に形成さ
れた左右一対のサイドフラップにおいて、腹側部と背側
部とを互いに接合固定して、左右一対のレッグ開口部及
び一つのウエスト開口部が形成されている。
【０００３】この種のパンツ型おむつは、一対のレッグ
開口周囲部及び一つのウエスト開口周囲部をそれぞれ伸
縮自在に形成して、体型にフィットするように構成され
ており、通常、着用者自らが立位の状態で着用すること
ができるので、幼児の「おむつ離れ」を促進するための
トイレットトレーニング用として、または失禁者用もし
くは歩行可能な成人用として用いられている。
【０００４】かかるパンツ型おむつのウエスト部内側に
は、親水性であるトップシートが位置しており、着用者
の身体との接触面は親水性となっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、従来のパンツ
型おむつは、ウエスト部分内側が親水性であるため、排
泄物を排泄後、着用中にウエスト部から排泄物の滲み漏
れが生じるという不都合があった。かかる滲み漏れを防
止するため、ウエスト部内側に撥水処理をしたり、別途
に撥水部を設けることが考えられるが、おむつの構成が
複雑になる等の理由により、従来のパンツ型使い捨てお
むつに撥水部を設けることは困難であった。
【０００６】従って、本発明の目的は、簡易な構成で、
ウエスト部からの滲み漏れを容易に防止することができ
るパンツ型の使い捨ておむつを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、液透過性のト
ップシートと、液不透過性のバックシートと、これら両
シート間に位置する吸収体と、該吸収体の周囲に位置す
る前後のウエスト部及び左右のレッグ部各々にギャザー
を形成する弾性伸縮部材とを有し、且つ前後のウエスト
部が左右両端でそれぞれ接合固定されたパンツ型の使い
捨ておむつにおいて、 上記バックシートは、上記前後
のウエスト部において、上記トップシートの長手方向に
おける両端部よりもそれぞれ長く延出され、且つ該バッ
クシート の上記両端部がそれぞれ上記吸収体上の上記ト
ップシートの表面上に位置するように折り返されて、該
吸収体の上方に位置された折り返し部を備えており、上
記バックシートは、撥水性繊維集合体の層と樹脂フィル
ムシートの層とが接着剤にて接合され、該バックシート
の長手方向における両端部が該撥水性繊維集合体の層の
みの複合体からなり、上記折り返し部は、それぞれ上記
撥水性繊維集合体の層のみからなる上記両端部により形
成されていることを特徴とする使い捨ておむつを提供す
ることにより上記目的を達成したものである。

【作用】本発明によるパンツ型使い捨ておむつによれ
ば、その着用中においては、排泄された排泄物は、トッ
プシートを介して吸収体に吸収されるが、吸収された排
泄物はその後、吸収体端部から次第にトップシート中あ
るいはトップシート上を伝わってウエスト部分に滲み出
ようとするが、ウエスト部分の内側には、吸収体端部を
完全に覆うようにバックッシートを折り返した延出部
（折り返し部）により撥水部が形成されているから、吸
収体端部からトップシート上を伝わることもなく、ま
た、トップシート中を伝わってウエスト部分に滲み出し
たとしても撥水部が袋状になっているので、かかる部分
からの滲み漏れが防止される。更に、上記折り返し部が
撥水性繊維集合体の層のみからなるので、肌の接触感触
が良好である。

【実施例】図１〜図３に示す実施例に基づいて本発明を
説明する。尚、各図中、図１は本発明の使い捨ておむつ
の一実施例を示す斜視図、図２は図１に示す使い捨てお
むつを展開した状態を示すトップシート側の平面図、図
３は図２に示す使い捨ておむつをＸ−Ｙ線に沿って切断
した状態を示す断面図である。

のトップシート２と、液不透過性のバックシート３と、
これら両シート間に位置する吸収体４と、該吸収体４の
周囲に位置する前後のウエスト部５ａ、５ｂ及び左右の
レッグ部６、７各々にギャザーを形成する弾性伸縮部材
８、８、８とを有し、かつ前後のウエスト部５ａ、５ｂ
が左右両端でそれぞれ接合固定されたパンツ型の使い捨
ておむつにおいて、上記バックシート３は、上記前後の
ウエスト部５ａ、５ｂにおいて、上記トップシート２の
長手方向における両端部３ａよりもそれぞれ長く延出さ
れ、且つ該バックシート３の上記両端部がそれぞれ上記
吸収体４上の上記トップシート２の表面上に位置するよ
うに折り返されて、上記吸収体４の上方に位置された折
り返し部３ａを備えており、上記バックシート３は、撥
水性繊維集合体の層２０と樹脂フィルムシート１０の層
とが接着剤１２にて接合され、該バックシート３の長手
方向における両端部が該撥水性繊維集合体の層２０のみ
の複合体からなり、上記折り返し部は、それぞれ上記撥
水性繊維集合体の層２０のみからなる上記両端部により
形成されていることを特徴としている。
【００１１】上記トップシート２は、排泄物を吸収体４
へ透過させる液透過性シートで肌着に近い感触を有した
ものが好ましく、このような液透過性シートとしては、
例えば、織布、不織布、多孔性フィルム等が好ましい。
バックシート３は、撥水性繊維集合体の層２０を基本と
して、吸収体４が位置する部分のみに樹脂フィルムシー
ト１０の層を接着剤１２にて接合し、両端部が撥水性繊
維集合体の層２０のみの複合体とし、該複合体の両端部
の撥水性繊維集合体の層２０のみを折り返し部３ａとす
るものである。樹脂フィルムシート１０としては、液不
透過性のフィルムシート、例えば、熱可塑性樹脂にフィ
ラーを加えて延伸した液不透過性且つ蒸気を透過させる
蒸気透過性のものが好ましく用いられる。また、撥水性
繊維集合体（撥水性繊維で形成された不織布）は、折り
返し部３ａにおいて、肌側に位置するために、肌着に近
い感触を有したものが好ましい。
【００１２】バックシート３は、その長手方向の寸法
が、トップシート２の寸法より長く形成されており、即
ち、バックシート３において、その折り返し部３ａがト
ップシート２の端部から吸収体端部まで延出している。
吸収体端部から折り返し部３ａの端までの幅Ｓは１０mm
乃至８０mmであり、好ましくは３０mm乃至５０mmであ
る。幅Ｓが１０mmより小さいと防漏性が十分でなく、８
０mmより長いと吸収体の吸収性を阻害するからである。
この時、折り返し部３ａの幅Ｌは、幼児用の使い捨てお
むつにおいては２０mm乃至８０mmであり、好ましくは３
０mm乃至８０mmである。
【００１３】このように、バックシート３の端部（折り
返し部）３ａをトップシート側に折り返し、吸収体端部
を覆うように接着固定することによって、撥水性のバッ
クシートがウエスト部の内側に位置することになり、ウ
エスト部内側に袋状の撥水部を形成する。上記折り返し
部３ａのトップシート２への接合固定は、上記折り返し
部３ａの両側端部（図２における左右方向の両側端部）
においてなされている。吸収体４は、略中央がくびれた
砂時計型形状に形成されていることが好ましく、吸収体
４の材料としては、解繊パルプを主材とし、高分子吸水
ポリマーを併用したものが好ましい。高分子吸水ポリマ
ーの存在位置は上層、中層、下層のいずれであってもよ
く、パルプと混合したものであってもよい。高分子吸水
ポリマーは自重の２０倍以上の液体を吸収して保持する
性能を有し、ゲル化する性質を有する粒子状のものが好
ましく、このような高分子吸水ポリマーとしては、デン
プン−アクリル酸（塩）グラフト共重合体のケン化物、
ナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースの架橋物、アク
リル酸（塩）重合体等が好ましい。
【００１４】ウエスト部５ａ、５ｂとレッグ部６、７に
張設される弾性伸縮部材８、８、８は２００％以上の伸
縮率を有し、天然ゴム、合成ゴム、発泡ポリウレタンな
どからなる複数本の糸状体としてまたは帯状体としてト
ップシート２とバックシート３とに連続的に接合されて
いる。一方、かかるパンツ型の使い捨ておむつの製造工
程においては、バックシート３をトップシート２の長手
方向に長い寸法の折り返し部３ａを形成し、上記トップ
シート２の上面に折り返し部３ａを折り返した後、上記
トップシート２に折り返し部３ａを接合固定する。かか
る接合固定は、接着または熱溶着等によって行われる。
これによって、図２に示すような、展開した状態のパン
ツ型使い捨ておむつ（原型）を形成する。かかる接合固
定は、接着または熱溶着等によって行われる。
【００１５】このように、パンツ型の使い捨ておむつの
原型の製造工程においては、バックシート３の延出部分
（折り返し部）３ａを折り返して、トップシート２に接
合固定するだけなので、簡単に製造することができる。
そして、上述した本実施例の使い捨ておむつ１は、図２
の展開した状態においてサイドフラップの左右両端部を
互いに接合し、図１に示すようなパンツ型を形成する。
【００１６】着用時には、図１に示すパンツ型の状態
で、着用者の足をウエスト部５ａ、５ｂ、続いてレッグ
部６、７に通して引き上げて着用する。着用中の状態で
は、ウエスト部５ａ、５ｂの内側には、折り返し部３ａ
により撥水部がトップシート２の上に形成されるので、
該撥水部が該トップシート２を介して滲み出る排泄物の
漏れを防止する。
【００１７】本発明は上述した実施例に限定されること
なく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形可能で
ある。

【発明の効果】本発明の使い捨ておむつによれば、簡易
な構成で、ウエスト部からの滲み漏れを容易に防止する
ことができ、しかも、バックシートの折り返し部は肌の
接触感触が良好である。

  1. 【請求項１】 液透過性のトップシートと、液不透過性
    のバックシートと、これら両シート間に位置する吸収体
    と、該吸収体の周囲に位置する前後のウエスト部及び左
    右のレッグ部各々にギャザーを形成する弾性伸縮部材と
    を有し、且つ前後のウエスト部が左右両端でそれぞれ接
    合固定されたパンツ型の使い捨ておむつにおいて、 上記バックシートは、上記前後のウエスト部において、
    上記トップシートの長手方向における両端部よりもそれ
    ぞれ長く延出され、且つ該バックシートの上記両端部が
    それぞれ上記吸収体上の上記トップシートの表面上に位
    置するように折り返されて、該吸収体の上方に位置され
    た折り返し部を備えており、 上記バックシートは、撥水性繊維集合体の層と樹脂フィ
    ルムシートの層とが接着剤にて接合され、該バックシー
    トの長手方向における両端部が該撥水性繊維集合体の層
    のみの複合体からなり、上記折り返し部は、それぞれ上
    記撥水性繊維集合体の層のみからなる上記両端部により
    形成されてい ることを特徴とする使い捨ておむつ。
