Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本考案は表面シートと裏面シートおよびこれらの間に吸
収体を介在させたタイプのパンツ型おむつに関し、より
詳しくは側部を折り込んで、畳んだパンツ型おむつに関
する。
［従来の技術］ 表面シート、裏面シートおよびこれらの間に介在させた
吸収体とからなるおむつは、使い捨ておむつの分野にお
いて重用されている。そのような使い捨ておむつは二つ
に大別されて、オープン型のものとパンツ型のものとが
あり、近年は、その使い易さの点から後者のパンツ型お
むつが注目を浴びている。この型のおむつは、着用時の
フィット性を得るために少なくとも開口部と脚口部には
弾性部材を配して、ギャザー仕立てとする他に、バック
シートとも呼ばれる裏面シートを伸縮性素材によって構
成する場合がある。このようなおむつは、自由な状態に
置いた時に各部材、素材の収縮によって、不定形のかた
まりとなり易いから、生産ラインにおける梱包は、これ
を極力平坦に整えて複数個のおむつの楽な重ね合わせを
可能にして、袋詰めもしくは箱詰めにしている。
［考案が解決すべき課題］ 前記吸収体を介在させてなるパンツ型おむつは、吸収体
の嵩張りと、胴口部および脚口部の弾性部材の収縮によ
って、不定形のかたまりとなり易いから、外形形状の整
った商品価値の高い梱包形状にすることが難しく、かか
るおむつが、さらに伸縮性素材を使って裏面シートや表
面シートを構成する場合には、増々その難しさが助長さ
れ、商品価値の高い梱包形状を作りにくいという問題が
あった。さらにかかるおむつを平坦に整えるにしても、
生産ラインでの梱包作業自体に複雑な設備と時間とを要
するという問題があった。
また、パンツ型おむつを平坦に整えた場合には、これを
着用させようとする時に胴口部において腹部側と背部側
とが複雑に絡んで密着しており、胴口部を見つけにくい
ばかりか、胴口部周辺をつかんで腹部側と背部側との間
を拡開することに手間どるという問題があった。
本考案は、上記の情況に対し、形状を整えることが容易
な折り込みが成されて、畳まれた前記パンツ型おむつを
提案し、問題を解決しようとするものである。
［課題を解決するための手段］ 上記問題解決のために本考案が骨子とするところは、少
なくとも表面シート、裏面シートおよびこれらの間に介
在させた吸収体とからなるパンツ型おむつにおいて、前
記おむつの胴口部から脚口部にまたがる横方向対向側部
の各々を前記おむつの縦方向中心線に向け、かつ前記お
むつの腹部側と背部側との間に介在せしめるように折り
込みが成されて、畳まれた前記おむつの提案、および前
記折り込みが、前記吸収体の側縁の少なくとも一部に沿
って行われた前記おむつの提案にある。
［作用と効果］ パンツ型おむつの横方向対向側部を腹部側と背部側との
間に折り込み、かつ前記の折り込みを嵩張りと固さのあ
る吸収体の外形線の少なくとも一部に沿って行うこと
で、折り込んで、畳んだおむつの外形が相対的に変形し
にくい吸収体によって形成されて整い、かつ安定する。
従って、またこのようなおむつは、積み重ねることが容
易になるとともに、袋や箱への納まりも良くなるから、
比較的簡単な梱包設備を使用して、しかも、速やかな梱
包作業を実現できる。さらには、腹部側と背部側とが予
め離間しているから、着用時の胴口部の拡開作業が容易
になる。
次に本考案を実施例によって説明する。
［実施例１］ 第１図は、本考案が対象とするパンツ型おむつ１であっ
て、おむつ１は表面シートであるトップシート２、裏面
シートであるバックシート３、およびこれらの間に介在
する吸収体４（後述の第２図参照）とを有し、この他に
脚口部弾性部材としての糸ゴム６、胴口部弾性部材とし
ての糸ゴム７からなり、横方向対向側部14は熱融着線８
によって側縁部がシートされている。
第２図は、第１図のおむつ１を得るための各部材の形状
を模式的に示す展開図であって、トップシート２、これ
と実質的に同じ大きさを有するバックシート３、および
使い捨ておむつにおいて慣用の砂時計型をした吸収体４
とを示す。トップシート２の裏面側には、吸収体４がホ
ットメルト接着剤（図示せず）によって間欠的に接着さ
れ、さらにこの吸収体４を覆うようにバックシート３が
重ねられて、トップシート２の周縁にホットメルト接着
剤（図示せず）で接着される。バックシート３のトップ
シート２と対向する面には伸張下にある弾性部材6,7が
各々ホットメルト接着剤（図示せず）によって間欠的に
接着してある。これらの接着がすべて行われた状態で、
縦方向の側縁９と10とが互いに当接するように、おむつ
を縦方向にほぼ二分して折曲し、当接した部位を熱融着
して熱融着線８（第１図参照）を有するおむつ１が得ら
れる。この時トップシート２、バックシート３の各々の
凹字切り欠き11は脚口部12（第１図参照）を形成し、詳
細説明は省略するが弾性部材６が開口部12の外周縁にギ
ャザーを作っている。また縦方向において対向して位置
する弾性部材７は、胴口部13（第１図参照）の形成にあ
ずかる。また吸収体４は砂時計型の賦型品であって、縦
方向に延びる側縁4A、4B、4Cとこれらをつなぐ斜めの側
縁4D、および横幅方向に延びる端縁4Eとを有する。
おむつ１の素材は、一例を挙げると、トップシート２
は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等の熱可塑性繊維か
らなる透液性の不織布、吸収体４は高吸水性ポリマー粒
子を10重量％含む粉砕パルプからなっている。バックシ
ート３は、伸縮性の防水性プラスチックフィルム20と、
熱捲縮したポリエチレン／ポリプロピレンのコンジュゲ
ート繊維からなる伸縮性不織布21とがホットメルト接着
剤（図示せず）によって間欠的に接合されて一体になっ
ている。この展開図で明らかなように、吸収体４はトッ
プシート２、およびバックシート３の中央部分にのみ位
置する大きさにしてあり、バックシート３の面上に投影
して見れば、鎖線40で示す大きさにある。
上述のように構成されたおむつ１の胴口部13から脚口部
12の間にまたがる横方向対向側部14は、トップシート２
とバックシート３とから構成されていて、吸収体４が存
在していない。おむつ１は、縦方向に二つに折曲された
吸収体４の嵩張りと弾性部材やバックシート３等の収縮
によって、丸まって不定形のかたまりを呈する傾向が強
く、その点において、第１図は形状の理解を容易にする
ために、伸張して示してある。
第３図および第４図は、第１図のおむつ１において、胴
口部13から脚口部12の間にまたがる横方向対向側部14を
融着線８を先端にして縦方向中心線A-Aに向け、かつ、
腹部側15と背部側16との間に介在せしめるように折り込
んで、畳んだ状態を示す。第４図は特に第３図のX-X線
端面における折り込み状態を示し、この折り込みは、吸
収体４の側縁4Aと4Cに沿って行われている。このように
折り込んで、畳んだおむつ１は、胴口部13を除くほぼ全
周縁の外形線が賦型された吸収体４に倣うことになり、
折り込んで、畳んだおむつ１の上下両面は吸収体４を芯
材に持つ平面状の腹部側15と背部側16であるから、おむ
つ１は全体的な輪郭形状が相対的に固い吸収体によって
定まり、従って複数個のおむつを積み重ねることが容易
になり、生産ラインにおいて梱包用の袋や箱に詰めるこ
とも容易になる。加えて、このように折り込んで、畳ん
だおむつ１は、折り込んだ側部14の厚みによって腹部側
15と背部側16が離間し、胴口部13の所在が明確になるう
えに、使用者は着用におよんで胴口部13の周辺をつま
み、胴口部13を容易に拡開することができる。
おむつ１を、例えば第１図のままの状態で平面的に力を
加え平坦にし、さらに対向する側部14を腹部側15の上に
折曲してのせる畳み方にした場合には、胴口部13におい
て腹部側15と背部側16が密着して絡みあい、胴口部13の
形状が複雑に乱れ、これを拡開する手間は本考案による
おむつの場合と比較にならぬほど煩雑である。
［実施例２］ 第５図は、実施例１とほぼ同様におむつ１を折り込ん
で、畳むが、側部14の折り込みを吸収体４の側縁4Bに沿
って行った場合を示す。横方向に対向する一対の側縁4B
は、吸収体４で最も幅の狭い部位を形成している。従っ
て、この場合の折り込みでは、砂時計型吸収体４の縦方
向対向端縁4Eに沿って延びる拡幅した部分、即ち側縁4
A,4Cの近傍は側部14の折り込みと共に腹部側15と背部側
16との間に折り込まれる。
第６図は、第５図のY-Y線端面図であり、吸収体４につ
いて側縁4A,4Cの近傍を側部14とともに折り込んだ状態
を示す。
本実施例に示す折り込みによる畳み方の場合、おむつ１
は、図示のように平面的に見た外形をほぼ矩形に整える
ことができて、実施例１で得られる諸利点に加え、さら
に梱包を容易にし、外観をより好ましいものにする効果
が得られる。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】少なくとも表面シート、裏面シートおよび
    これらの間に介在させた吸収体とから成るパンツ型おむ
    つにおいて、 前記おむつの胴口部から脚口部にまたがる横方向対向側
    部の各々を前記おむつの縦方向中心線に向け、かつ前記
    おむつの腹部側と背部側との間に介在せしめるように折
    り込みが成されて、畳まれた前記パンツ型おむつ。
  2. 【請求項２】前記折り込みは、前記吸収体の側縁の少な
    くとも一部に沿って行われている請求項１記載のパンツ
    型おむつ。
