Description
管継手に関するものである。
では図4に示すエレクトロフユ−ジョン継手が開示され
ている。このものは継手本体1の中央部に内周側に張り
出すストッパ−2を有しており、このストッパ−2は一
般的に継手本体1と一体で射出成型によって形成したも
のである。また特開昭53−109219号公報では図
5に示す管継手が開示されている。このものは継手本体
3の中央部に円周方向の溝4を設け、溝4に割りスペ−
サ環5を装着して、管を挿入した際のストッパ−とした
ものである。
者は、金型内に溶融樹脂を射出成型して製造する際、継
手本体1とストッパ−2はともに一体に成型される。し
かし継手本体の口径が小さく、継手の呼び径が75A以
下のものでは本体1の肉厚もそれ程大きくはなく、射出
樹脂容量と射出後の金型内での冷却時間との関係からほ
ぼ安定した成型が行える。
手本体1の長さ及び肉厚がともに大きくなる。従って大
きな金型内に多くの溶融樹脂を射出することになり、ま
た継手の内周側に張り出すストッパ−2が厚肉で、他の
部分に比べて熱容量が大きく肉厚が不均一となり、射出
後の冷却時間が均一に行われず、引け等の成型不良が生
じる。更に射出樹脂の容量が大きくなるので、それに応
じた大きな射出成型機、及び大きな金型が必要で、成型
作業においても冷却時間との関係から成型能率が悪くな
る。
トッパ−としているために、継手本体3の肉厚変動はな
く引け等の問題が生じにくい。しかし継手本体3を成型
した後で溝4を切削加工で形成しなければならず、また
この溝4に別の割スペ−サ環5を装着しなければならな
い。従って製造上、余分の追加工と余分のスペ−サ環5
を必要とし、更に組付けの手間を必要とする。また呼び
径の大きな例えば100A以上の口径の継手本体では、
前者と同様に大きな金型や射出成型機を必要とし、成型
能率が悪くなる。
って、継手の呼び径が大きなものであっても、大きな射
出容量の射出成型機を必要とせず、また追加工や別のス
トッパ−部材を必要とせず、容易に成型出来るプラスチ
ック管継手を提供するものである。
管を挿入する継手の受け口内面に管の挿入位置を規定す
るストッパ−を設けた熱可塑性プラスッチック製の管継
手において、少なくとも前記管の挿入規定長さの長さを
有する受け口部材ともう一方の受け口部材/あるいはま
た継手の中央部を形成する本体部材とを突き合わせて熱
融着接合して設け、前記熱融着接合部分に得られる内周
側のビ−ドを前記管の挿入位置を規定するストッパ−と
したことを特徴とするプラスチック管継手である。また
前記受け口部材の内周面に、該内周面に接し端部が軸直
角の円部材を前記管の挿入規定長さに亘り装着して他の
部材と前記熱融着接合し、熱融着接合部分に得られる内
周側のビ−ドを前記管の挿入位置を規定するストッパ−
としてもよい。
他の受け口部材又は本体部材と熱融着接合することによ
って、この熱融着接合部の内外面に融着時のビ−ドが突
出する。この内、内側のビ−ドは受け口部材の内周面に
円周方向ほぼ均一に内側に向かって突出する。受け口部
材の長さは少なくとも管継手の挿入規定長さに形成して
あるから、内周側に突出したビ−ドはプラスチック管を
受け口内面に挿入する際の管の端面が突き当たるストッ
パ−の役目をする。従って大口径の管継手であっても熱
融着接合して形成されるから、射出容量の大きな射出成
型機や金型を必要とせず、容易に成型出来る。更に受け
口部を熱融着接合する際に自動的にストッパ−が形成さ
れる。

装着されて熱融着接合されるので熱による受け口部材の
変形がなく、正確な管継手が形成される。

より多少長い長さに形成した筒状である。内周面側には
電熱線12を螺旋状に埋設してある。また受け口部材1
0、11の両端には外面側に突出するコネクタ−ピン1
3、14を夫々埋設してあり、この夫々のコネクタ−ピ
ン13、14に電熱線12の両端を接続してある。この
受け口部材10、11は熱可塑性プラスチック材料を射
出成型機で金型内に射出して成型される。
夫々の内面に、端面が軸直角に仕上げたナイロン製の円
部材31、32を受け口部材10、11の夫々の端部か
ら管継手に決められた管の挿入規定長さ分挿入し、この
状態で夫々の端面15、16を熱板20に当てる。熱板
20はヒ−タ21を内装しているので端面15、16は
加熱されて溶融される。溶融状態に達したら熱板20を
外し、素早く夫々の端面15、16同志を互いに押し当
てる。両端面15、16は互いに溶融状態のため両受け
口部材10、11は熱融着接合され一体化する。

のソケット型の電気融着式管継手19が形成される。熱
融着接合部には内面側と外面側に融着接合時のビ−ド1
7、18が突き出るが、円部材31、32を管の挿入規
定長さ装着した状態で熱融着接合してあるので、端面か
らの管の挿入規定長さが確保されており、またビ−ドは
円部材31、32によって軸直角に正しく形成される。
従って内面側のビ−ド17は管継手19に管50、51
を挿入したときのストッパ−の役目をする。また円部材
を装着した状態で熱融着接合されるため熱や圧力による
変形が生じず、受け口内面もプラスチック管を挿入し易
い真円度を確保した管継手19が得られる。尚円部材の
材質はナイロンを用いたが、熱融着時の溶融温度で変形
しない材料であればAl合金等でも良い。
手本体の一端側にプラスチック管51をストッパ−17
に突き当たるまで挿入した後、コントロ−ラ30をコネ
クタ−ピン13、14に実線で示すごとく接続して電熱
線12に通電する。電熱線12はプラスチック管51を
挿入した継手本体の片側で1系統のため、発熱面積は両
側同時に発熱させるものに比べて半分で、コントロ−ラ
の電力容量も約半分のもので行え、また片側の管毎に接
続作業出来るから、管51の口径や接続条件に応じた適
正な融着作業が行える。

量が大きく、従来のごとく同時に一体で射出成型した場
合では大きな金型や成型機が必要で成型作業も困難なも
のとなるが、この実施例では本体部材40と受け口部材
41、42、43を熱融着接合したものであるから、夫

成型出来る。また自動的に正確なストッパ−が形成され
るものである。尚以上の実施例では管継手19、50内
に電熱線を埋設したエレクトロフユ−ジョン継手の場合
を説明したが、電熱線を埋設しない熱可塑性プラスチッ
ク製管継手の場合も同様である。
管継手は、自動的に管挿入規定位置にストッパ−が形成
される。また大きな金型や射出容量の大きな射出成型機
を必要とせず容易に製造することが出来る。またエレク
トロフユ−ジョン継手の場合では、プラスチック管との
接続作業に際しても電力容量の小さなコントロ−ラで大
口径のプラスチック管を接続出来る。更に管の接続口径
に応じた適正な接続状態の融着接続が行える。

Claims (2)
- 【請求項1】プラスチック管を挿入する継手の受け口内
面に管の挿入位置を規定するストッパ−を設けた熱可塑
性プラスッチック製の管継手において、 少なくとも前記管の挿入規定長さの長さを有する受け口
部材ともう一方の受け口部材/あるいはまた継手の中央
部を形成する本体部材とを突き合わせて熱融着接合して
設け、前記熱融着接合部分に得られる内周側のビ−ドを
前記管の挿入位置を規定するストッパ−としたことを特
徴とするプラスチック管継手。 - 【請求項2】前記受け口部材の内面に、該内面に接し端
部が軸直角の円部材を前記管の挿入規定長さに亘り装着
して前記熱融着接合し、該熱融着接合部分に得られる内
周側のビ−ドを前記管の挿入位置を規定するストッパ−
としたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のプラスチック管
継手。
