Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、中空糸膜の熱処理方法に関する。更に詳し
くは、界面活性剤を混和した高分子中空糸膜の熱処理方
法に関する。
〔従来の技術〕および〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕 現在、浄水器用として使用されている高分子中空糸膜
は、基本的には疎水性のものであり、実際に使用するに
際しては、界面活性剤の混和や塗布などを行って親水性
を付与しているが、そのまま使用したのでは、通水初期
の流量が非常に少なく、十分な流量が確保される迄に
は、かなりの時間を要するという問題がみられる。
本発明の目的は、界面活性剤を混和した高分子中空糸
膜であって、通水初期の流量を確保せしめたものを提供
することにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
かかる本発明の目的は、非イオン界面活性剤を混和し
た高分子中空糸膜を、マイクロ波を用いて混和された非
イオン界面活性剤の融点以上の温度に加熱することによ
って達成される。
ロ過膜としての高分子中空糸膜は、ポリスルホン、ポ
リエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリフッ化ビニリデンな
どから溶融紡糸法、乾湿式紡糸法などにより製造された
多孔質膜であって、その孔径、強度などは使用目的に応
じて設定される。
非イオン界面活性剤は、中空糸製造時に原料樹脂中に
約0.5〜５重量％、好ましくは約１〜３重量％添加して
用いられるが、一般にはソルビタン脂肪酸エステル系、
グリセリン脂肪酸エステル系、しょ糖脂肪酸エステル系
などの食品添加可能なものが用いられる。
かかる非イオン界面活性剤を混和した高分子中空糸膜
は、マイクロ波を用いて混和された非イオン界面活性剤
の融点以上に加熱される。ここでマイクロ波が用いられ
るのは、束にした中空糸膜を均一に乾燥させるためであ
る。
〔発明の効果〕
非イオン界面活性剤を混和した高分子中空糸膜をマイ
クロ波を用いて加熱処理することにより、ロ過膜として
の高分子中空糸膜の通水初期の流量を十分に確保せしめ
ることができる。
〔実施例〕
次に、実施例について本発明を説明する。
実施例 ２重量％のグリセリン脂肪酸エステル系非イオン界面
活性剤（融点52℃）を混和したポリスルホン中空糸膜
（内径0.3mm、外径0.4mm）の束（4000本）をマイクロ波
で所定温度で加熱処理したもの数本からモジュールを作
製し、それについての初期透水量（通水初期から１分間
に単位面積、単位圧力当り透過した水量）を測定した。
種々の熱処理温度で熱処理された中空糸膜についての初
期透水量の測定結果は、第１図のグラフに示される。

  1. 【請求項１】非イオン界面活性剤を混和した高分子中空
    糸膜を、マイクロ波を用いて混和された非イオン界面活
    性剤の融点以上の温度に加熱することを特徴とする中空
    糸膜の熱処理方法。
