Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、磁気カードやICカード等のカードと、この
カードに記憶された情報の読取り装置とからなるカード
装置に関するものである。
従来の技術 従来我々が検討したカード装置は、第２図及び第３図
に示すような構成であった。第２図はカードが挿入され
た状態におけるカード装置内部を示す断面図である。こ
の図において１はカードであり、２は読取り装置の筐体
を構成するケース、３は読取り装置２とカード１との情
報のやりとりを行うための読取り部、3aはその支点、４
はカードを挿入するカード挿入口、５はカード１を搬送
するための搬送力を発生させるモータ、６はモータ５の
搬送力をカード１に伝達するゴムローラである。又第３
図はカード装置の要部断面図である。2aはケース２に設
けられた突出部であり、3bはカード１と接触することに
よりカード１の情報を読取り部３に伝達するための接点
である。
以上のように構成されたカード装置について、以下そ
の動作を説明する。カード１が読取り装置内に挿入され
ると、読取り部３は支点3aを中心として回動し、カード
１と接点3bが接触し、カード１の情報が読取られる。
その際、読取り部３の接点3bとカード１とを確実に接
触させる手段として、ケース２に突出部2aを読取り部３
側に突出して設け、カード１が接点3bの反対方向に逃げ
ない構成としていた。
発明が解決しようとする課題 しかしながらこのような従来の構成では、カード１が
読取り装置に挿入されていない場合に、この読取り装置
に振動が加えられると、読取り部３が支点3aを中心に回
動し、接点3bがケース２の突出部2aにあたり、接点3bが
損傷し、この損傷によりカード１との接触が確実にでき
なくなるという問題が発生する危険性を有していた。
本発明はこのような課題を解決するもので、カードが
挿入されていない場合の接点の損傷を防止することを目
的とするものである。
課題を解決するための手段 この目的を達成するために本発明は、ケースに設けた
突出部の読取り部に対応する部分に凹部を設けたもので
ある。
作用 このように、ケースの突出部の読取り部に対応する部
分に凹部を設けることにより、読取り装置にカードが挿
入されていない状態で、読取り部の接点が突出部にあた
り、読取り部の接点を損傷することがなくなるという効
果が得られる。
実施例 以下、本発明の一実施例について、図面を参照しなが
ら説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例によるカード装置の要部を
示す断面図である。第１図において、１はカード、３は
読取り部、3aは支点、3bは接点、２はケース、2aはケー
ス２に設けた突出部であり、2bは突出部2aの読取り部３
に対応する部分に設けた凹部である。
以上のように構成されたカード装置において、以下そ
の動作について説明する。カード１を読取り装置内に挿
入し、カード１から接点3bを介して情報を読取る時の接
点3bとカード１との接触状態を良好にするために、ケー
ス２に突出部2aを設けたが、カード１が読取り装置内に
挿入されていない場合に、接点3bが突出部2aにあたり、
接点3bが損傷するおそれがある。しかし本実施例では、
突出部2aの読取り部３に対応する部分に凹部2bを設けて
いるので、接点3bの突出部2aへの衝突による損傷はおき
ない。
以上のように本実施例によればケース２の突出部2aの
読取り部３に対応する部分に凹部2bを設けることによ
り、従来課題となっていた接点3bの損傷を防止すること
ができる。尚、突出部2aはカード走行を妨げないように
滑らかに突出させてある。
また、このケース２の前記凹部2bに適当な大きさの孔
を設ければ、この孔を通して、接点3bの具合を外部より
目視により確認することができる。なお上記実施例では
読取り部３を有するものを説明したが、これは書込部に
代えても良い。
発明の効果 以上のように本発明によればケースの突出部の読取り
部に対応する部分に凹部を設けることにより、接点の損
傷を防止することができるという効果が得られる。
又、上記凹部を設けた為、この凹部に孔を設けること
ができ、この孔を通して接点の高さ等をケースの外部か
ら確認することができるという効果も得られる。

  1. 【請求項１】カードと、このカードの情報を読取る読取
    り装置とを備え、前記読取り装置はカードの搬送路に設
    けた読取り部と、この読取り部に対抗する面に設けた読
    取り部側への突出部とを有し、前記突出部の読取り部に
    対抗する部分には凹部を設けたカード装置。
