また、一実施形態において、前記ストッパーの貫通抵抗が、0.15kgf以上であってもよい。
本発明の医療用糸は、本体;及び前記本体の一端部に連結されたストッパー;を含み、前記ストッパーが連結された本体の一端部は、円形の端面を有し、前記本体は、長手方向に延び、前記ストッパーは、本体と連結された部分で多角形の端面を有し、前記ストッパーの多角形断面の重心から前記ストッパーの各頂点までの距離の2つ以上が、前記本体一端部の円形断面の半径よりも大きいことを特徴とする。
一実施形態において、前記ストッパーの貫通抵抗は、0.15kgf以上であってもよく、具体的には0.16kgf以上、0.17kgf以上、0.18kgf以上、0.19kgf以上又は0.2kgf以上であってもよい。前記ストッパーの貫通抵抗の上限は特に限定されず、例えば、1kgf以下、0.9kgf以下、0.8kgf以下、0.7kgf以下、0.6kgf以下又は0.5kgf以下であってもよいが、これに限定されない。
医療用糸本体として前記表4に示す原糸の端部を加熱し、正三角形断面のストッパーを有する実施例の医療用糸を製造した(0.5mpa冷却風量条件)。
実施例及び比較例の各医療用糸について、以下の方法でストッパー付着強度及び貫通抵抗を測定した。
(1)ストッパー付着強度
ストッパーが医療用糸の本体と切れる力を測定する試験
1)機器測定条件
-ロードセル:50kgf
-伸展範囲:200mm
-速度:300mm/分
-長さ:130mm
-試験回数:各6回
テスト用サンプルを準備し、Tissue Drag測定用ゴム(rubber)に針を通し、針をゆっくり引っ張ってストッパーをゴムに固定した(図2参照)。針が付着している部分を引張強度機の上側グリップに固定して測定した。
ストッパーをスキンパッドに固定した後、ストッパーが皮膚を貫通する際のストッパーの強さを測定する試験
1)機器測定条件
-ロードセル:50kgf
-伸展範囲:200mm
-速度:300mm/分
-長さ:130mm
-試験回数:各5回
テスト用サンプルを準備し、スキンパッドにストッパーを固定し(図3参照)、スキンパッドを引張試験機の下部に固定し、他方を上側グリップに固定した後、測定した。

Claims (15)
- 本体、及び前記本体の一端部に連結されたストッパーを含む医療用糸であって、
前記ストッパーが連結された本体の一端部は、円形の端面を有し、
前記本体は、長手方向に延び、
前記ストッパーは、本体と連結された部分で多角形の端面を有し、
前記ストッパーの多角形断面の重心から前記ストッパーの各頂点までの距離の2つ以上が、前記本体一端部の円形断面の半径よりも大きい医療用糸。 - 前記ストッパーの多角形端面の重心から前記ストッパーの各頂点までの距離の2つ以上が、前記本体一端部の円形断面の半径の1.5倍以上である請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記ストッパーは、隣接する前記本体の長手方向に対して垂直に配置され、多角柱又は多角錐の形状を有する請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記ストッパーの厚さは、0.1mm~5mmである請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記ストッパーが前記本体との連結の部分で有する多角形断面の一辺の長さは、1mm~5mmである請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記ストッパーのエッジが、テーパー状に形成されている請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記本体とストッパーのとの付着強度(ストッパー付着強度)が、2kgf以上である請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記ストッパーの貫通抵抗が、0.15kgf以上である請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記本体と前記ストッパーが、それぞれ独立して、ポリジオキサノン(PDO)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリトリメチルカーボネート(PTMC)、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ナイロン(Nylon)、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)から選ばれる一つ以上の共重合体を含む請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記医療用糸は、前記ストッパーに連結された端部でない本体の他方の端部に縫合用針が結合されたものである請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 前記本体の表面は、外側に突出する複数の突起を含むものである請求項1に記載の医療用糸。
- 長手方向に延びる本体を準備する工程;
前記本体の一端部を加熱して溶融させる工程;
溶融した前記本体の一端部が所定の形状を有するモールドに注入して、前記本体の端部にストッパーを形成する工程;及び
前記本体及び前記ストッパーを冷却させた後、前記モールドから分離する工程;
を含み、
前記ストッパーが連結された本体の一端部は、円形の端面を有し、
前記ストッパーは、前記本体との連結の部分で多角形の端面を有し、
前記ストッパーの多角形端面の重心から各頂点までの距離の2つ以上が、前記本体一端部の円形断面の半径よりも大きい、医療用糸の製造方法。 - 前記溶融した本体の一端部に対して、前記ストッパーの相対的位置を調節する位置調節工程をさらに含む請求項12に記載の医療用糸の製造方法。
- 前記本体とストッパーを冷却してモールドから分離する工程において、前記本体とストッパーを、0.01~3mpaの冷却風量で5~120秒間冷却する請求項12に記載の医療用糸の製造方法。
- 前記本体の一端部を加熱溶融する工程において、加熱温度が50~400℃である請求項12に記載の医療用糸の製造方法。
