Abstract
Description
金属酸化物コアと、
2~40個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素鎖とを含み、
前記炭化水素鎖は、前記金属酸化物コアに化学的に結合している、ポリマーフィルムが提供される。
ここで、添付の図面を参照して本発明の実施形態を例としてのみ説明する。
基材は、熱可塑性フィルム、例えば、ポリエチレン共重合体を含むことができる。この後のすべての実験に使用された基材は、75ミクロンの厚さを有するEVA/EVA/PVDC/EVA/EVA5層共押出し体(co-extrusion)であった。
WCA測定値は、ポリマーフィルムの濡れ性を検討するために使用された。WCA測定値は、4μLのH2O液滴をポリマーフィルム上に堆積させることによって得られた。ここで報告されているWCAの値は、表面上の異なる位置で記録された3つの測定値の平均である。標準偏差は、これらの値に関連する不確実性を表すために使用される。
コーティングされていない基材(すなわち、クリーンなEVA/EVA/PVDC/EVA/EVAの5層共押出しフィルム)のWCAは88.3°±1.7°であった。
基材は、官能化されていないAl2O3粒子でコーティングされた。官能化されていないAl2O3粒子の基材上への堆積は、周囲温度で2重量%のイソプロパノール懸濁液からスプレーコーティングすることによって達成された。官能化されていないAl2O3粒子によるポリマーフィルムの最大被覆率を達成しようとするため、3つのスプレーを使用した。
基材は、官能化されていないFe3O4粒子でコーティングされた。官能化されていないFe3O4粒子の基材上への堆積は、周囲温度で2重量%のイソプロパノール懸濁液からスプレーコーティングすることによって達成された。官能化されていないFe3O4粒子による基材の最大被覆率を達成しようとするため、3つのスプレーを使用した。
官能化酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)粒子は次のように合成された。酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)粒子(d=13nm、10.0g、98.0mmol、1.0当量)をトルエン(250mL)中のイソステアリン酸(39.1g、137.3mmol、1.4当量)とともに24時間還流した。反応時間が経過したら、反応混合物を収集し、5000rpmで1時間遠心分離した。次に、固体を回収し、イソプロパノール中において5000rpmで1時間遠心分離した。これに続いて、固体をエタノール中において5000rpmで1時間さらに3回遠心分離し、次に80℃で6時間乾燥させた。
官能化酸化鉄(Fe3O4)粒子は次のように合成された。酸化鉄(Fe3O4)粒子(d=15~20nm、5.0g、21.6mmol、1.0当量)をトルエン(100mL)中でイソステアリン酸(18.4g、64.7mmol、3.0当量)とともに機械式攪拌下で約24時間還流した。反応時間が経過したら、混合物を5000rpmで1時間遠心分離した。これに続いて、固体を回収し、80℃で6時間乾燥させた。
基材を加熱し、実施例1に記載の官能化Al2O3粒子でコーティングした。加熱の結果として軟化した後、官能化Al2O3粒子を基材上にスプレーコーティングした。基材の加熱は、以下のように達成された。最初に、基材はその縁部でガラスペトリ皿の表面に物理的に取り付けられた。これの目的は、加熱プロセス中に形状が変化する程度を制限するために、基材を固定することであった。次に、基材の物理的変形が観察されるまで、ペトリ皿に熱を加えた。基材の物理的変形が観察されると、官能化Al2O3粒子の基材への堆積がスプレーコーティングによって達成された。官能化Al2O3粒子は、2.0重量%の懸濁液からスプレーコーティングされた。官能化Al2O3粒子による基材の最大被覆率を達成しようとするため、5つのスプレーを使用した。各スプレーに続いて、イソプロパノールの除去を加速するために、基材を継続的に加熱した。表面に液体が観察されなかった場合は、基材にさらにスプレーコーティングを行った。基材の温度は、スプレーコーティングの前に測定されなかった。しかしながら、80~90℃の間に加熱すると、基材が塑性変形し始めることが観察された。
基材を加熱し、実施例3に記載の方法に従って、実施例2に記載の官能化Fe3O4粒子でコーティングした。
エポキシ樹脂による官能化Al2O3粒子と基材の結合を実施例5~実施例9で検討した。
エポキシ樹脂による官能化Fe3O4粒子と基材の結合を実施例10~実施例14で検討した。基材を、実施例2に記載のエポキシ樹脂と官能化Fe3O4粒子の混合物でコーティングした。これらの実施例では、エポキシ樹脂は、官能化Fe3O4粒子懸濁液に添加された。基材上への混合物の堆積は、前述のように、周囲温度でのスプレーコーティングすることによって実施された。

Claims (25)
- 疎水性粒子で少なくとも部分的にコーティングされている基材を含むポリマーフィルムであって、前記疎水性粒子は、
金属酸化物コアと、
2~40個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素鎖とを含み、
前記炭化水素鎖は、前記金属酸化物コアに化学的に結合している、ポリマーフィルム。 - 前記疎水性粒子の平均直径は、約200nm以下である、請求項1に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子の平均直径は、約50nm以下である、請求項2に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子の平均直径は、約8nm~約20nmである、請求項3に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記金属酸化物コアは、酸化アルミニウム、酸化鉄、酸化亜鉛、および酸化ケイ素のうちの1つまたはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記炭化水素鎖は脂肪族である、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記炭化水素鎖は、直鎖または分岐である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記炭化水素鎖は、6~32個の炭素を有する、請求項1~7のいずれか項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記炭化水素鎖は、6~24個の炭素を有する、請求項8に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記炭化水素鎖は、官能基を介して前記金属酸化物コアに共有結合している、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記官能基は、ヒドロキシド、カルボキシラート、ホスホナート、ホスフィナート、チオラート、およびチオカルボキシラートのいずれか1つまたは組み合わせを含む、請求項10に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子はフッ素を含まない、請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記基材は熱可塑性フィルムを含む、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記熱可塑性フィルムは、ポリオレフィン、ビニルポリマー、またはポリアセタールフィルムを含む、請求項13に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記基材は、共押出しされた二層または多層フィルムを含む、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子は、前記基材に少なくとも部分的に埋め込まれている、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子および前記基材は、接着剤によって互いに固定されている、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 前記疎水性粒子および前記接着剤の質量比は、約1.0:1.0~約2.0:1.0である、請求項17に記載のポリマーフィルム。
- 請求項1~18のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルムの、食品包装フィルムとしての使用。
- 請求項1~18のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルムで少なくとも部分的にコーティングされている表面を含む、食品または液体容器。
- 前記表面が、金属、合金、プラスチック、厚紙及び/又はガラスを含む、請求項20に記載の食品または液体容器。
- 請求項1~18のいずれか一項に記載のポリマーフィルムで少なくとも部分的にコーティングされている、ガラスシート。
