1.再活性化特性(1回又は複数回)がないため、エッジラッピング用途には適していない。
2.Nーメチルー2-ピロリドン(NMP)及びエタノールのような有機溶媒を配合物に使用すると、揮発性有機化合物が発生するため、望ましくない環境問題が生じる。
開示された組成物はパートA及びパートBを含む。パートAは水系ポリウレタン分散液配合物である。パートBは架橋剤配合物である。
1. 開示された組成物は、水性接着剤であり、環境に優しい。
2. 開示された組成物は、有機溶媒を含まないため、低VOCを有する。
3. 開示された組成物は、混合され、室温(約20℃)で適用され、これは、使用者にエネルギー節約を提供する。
4. 開示されたパートA及びパートBは、室温での単純な攪拌によって混合してよく、それにより調製が容易になる。
5. 開示された組成物は、接着剤を1回又は複数回再活性化することにより、エッジラッピング用途に使用できる。

最初に、以下のプレミックスを作成した。
B. プレミックス消泡剤:0.05%の消泡剤をアニオン性高分子量ポリエステルポリウレタン分散液に添加し、10分間撹拌した。
C. プレミックスカラー:0.07%の水系の青色カラーを水に添加し、10分間撹拌した。
パートBは、脂肪族ポリイソシアネートのみを包含し、受け取ったままの状態で使用した。パートBは湿気に敏感であるため、湿気を排除するために、適切なシーリングとN2ブランケットで保存した。
混合
接着剤を適用する前に、パートBをパートAに混合して接着剤生成物を作成する。典型的に、100重量部の樹脂分散液、例えばパートAに、5重量部の硬化剤、例えばパートBが添加される。室温でパートA樹脂にパートB硬化剤を単純に攪拌しながら直接添加することによって、均一な混合が達成された。
混合生成物は、接着される1つの基材の1つの表面に噴霧してもよいし、両方の基材の接着する表面に噴霧してもよい。
接着剤の再活性化は、任意の適切な加熱方法によって、例えば、ホットエアーガンで加熱するか、又はオーブン内で加熱することによって行うことができるが、これらに限定されない。前者の場合、部分を約200℃~約300℃で約2~約4秒のような非常に短時間さらし、後者の場合、約60℃~約80℃で約15秒~約30秒加熱する。ポリウレタンフォームは、接着剤でコーティングされたPP又はABS(主)基材のエッジに巻き付けられた。再活性化工程では、ボンドライン温度は約55℃~約65℃であることが観察された。
接着剤破損強度を24時間後に測定した。十字を作ることによってフォーム基材を切断し、続いてイマダプッシュプルゲージで剥がした。基材に残っているフォームの付着は、顕著な基材破損である。フォームが「破損」した、例えば、裂けたり分離したりしたが、接着剤が破損しなかったため、これは良好な結果である。望ましくない結果は、フォームが「破損」しなかった、例えば、裂けたり分離したりしなかったが、試験条件下で接着剤が成分を固定できなかった接着不良である。接着性を、硬化/曲げ表面でもチェックした。表5は、配合物F1及びF4の接着性の比較を示している。配合物F2及びF3は破損の混合モードを有した。100%基材破損があった唯一の配合物は、配合物F1及びF4であった。しかしながら、配合物F4では再活性化を達成できなかった。構造的接着及び再活性化のボンドライン温度は約55℃~約65℃であった。

Claims (15)
- 柔軟なシート材料を基材に接着する方法であって:
主面、前記主面に角度をつけて配置された周面、及び前記主面と前記周面とを接続するエッジを有する基材を提供すること;
第1の部分から延びる第2の部分を有する柔軟なシート材料を提供すること;
水系二成分ポリウレタン分散接着剤の第1成分を提供すること;
水系二成分ポリウレタン分散接着剤の第2成分を提供すること;
前記第1成分と前記第2成分を混合して、混合水系二成分ポリウレタン分散接着剤を形成すること;
前記混合接着剤を、前記主面の一部、並びに任意に前記周面及び/又は前記エッジの一部に塗布すること;
適用された前記接着剤を乾燥させて、前記主面、並びに任意に前記周面及び/又は前記エッジに、乾燥ポリウレタン接着剤層を形成すること;
第1の加熱サイクルを適用して、前記主面上の前記ポリウレタン接着剤層を活性化すること;
前記柔軟なシート材料の前記第1の部分を、前記主面上の活性化接着剤上に配置し、前記材料の前記第1の部分を前記主面に接着すること;
任意で、前記ポリウレタン接着剤及び前記基材表面を接着剤活性化温度以下に冷却すること;
第2の加熱サイクルを適用して、前記エッジ及び/又は前記周面上のポリウレタン接着剤層を再活性化温度以上に加熱し、前記エッジ及び/又は前記周面上の接着剤を再活性化すること;
前記柔軟なシート材料の第2の部分を、前記エッジ及び/又は前記周面上の加熱及び再活性化された接着剤上に配置し、前記材料の第2の部分を前記エッジ及び前記周面に接着させること;並びに
任意で、前記ポリウレタン接着剤及び前記基材表面を接着剤活性化温度以下に冷却すること;
を含む、方法。 - 前記基材が高分子である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基材がポリプロピレン(PP)又はアクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン(ABS)から構成される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記柔軟なシート材料が、柔軟なポリウレタンフォーム材料を含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の加熱サイクルを適用する工程が、主面及び前記主面上に配置された柔軟なシート材料の第1の部分を約60℃~約80℃で約2~約4分間加熱することを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の加熱サイクルを適用する工程が、主面及び前記主面上に配置された加熱された柔軟なシート材料の第1の部分を約60℃~約80℃で約2~約4分間の加熱することを含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱及び再活性化された接着剤上に柔軟なシート材料の第2の部分を配置する工程が、前記柔軟なシート材料の固定されていない部分を、エッジ及び周面に巻き付けることを含む、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の加熱サイクルを適用する工程、及び前記加熱及び再活性化された接着剤上に第2の部分を適用する工程が、周面を約200℃~約300℃の温度に約30秒以下さらし、続いて、前記材料の第2の部分をエッジ及び加熱された周面に巻き付けることを含む、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の加熱サイクルを適用する工程、及び前記材料の第2の部分をエッジ及び周面に配置する工程が、前記材料の配置された第2の部分及び周面を約60℃~約80℃で約15秒~約30秒間加熱すること、続いて前記加熱された周面の周りに材料の層を巻き付けることを含む、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の加熱サイクルを適用する工程が、周面を約55℃~約85℃の温度にさらすことを含む、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1成分が、少なくとも1つのポリウレタン樹脂分散液を含み、前記第2成分が、無溶媒及び無水液体脂肪族ポリイソシアネート架橋剤を含む、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1成分及び前記第2成分が使用前に混合され、架橋反応を開始する、請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の水系二成分ポリウレタン分散接着剤であって:
第1成分が、
アニオン性水系ポリエステルポリウレタン樹脂分散液、
水、及び
任意で1つ以上の添加剤を含み、
第2成分が、
1つ以上の無溶媒及び無水液体脂肪族ポリイソシアネート架橋剤、及び
任意で1つ以上の添加剤を含み、
前記第1成分及び前記第2成分の乾燥した非接着性混合物は、再活性化温度以上の温度にさらすことにより、接着性状態に再活性化することができる、接着剤組成物。 - 前記再活性化温度が約55℃~約85℃である、請求項13に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記無溶媒及び無水液体脂肪族ポリイソシアネート架橋剤が、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート又は1,6-ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートの三量体(HDI-ビウレット)を含む、請求項13又は14に記載の接着剤組成物。
