Abstract
Description
(I) (d)アルキルカルボン酸塩を含むアニオン性界面活性剤を含む界面活性剤系存在下で
(a) 少なくとも1種のアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、
(b) 少なくとも1つの追加の官能基がエチレン性不飽和基とは異なっている、少 なくとも1つの追加の官能基を含む、少なくとも1つのエチレン性不飽和化合 物、及び
(c) 任意に少なくとも1種のポリエチレン性不飽和化合物
を含むモノマー混合物(但し、モノマー混合物は、エチレン性不飽和酸を含まない)のpH7.5以上で行われる水性媒体中でのフリーラジカル乳化重合によって得られた反応生成物、
(II) (b)の少なくとも1つの追加の官能基と反応することができる少なくとも2つの 官能基を含む、フリーラジカル重合によって重合することができない化合物。

(a) 80〜99.5重量%のアルキル(メタ)アクリル酸、

(c) 0〜10重量%のポリエチレン性不飽和化合物

全固形分量(TSC)の測定:
全固形分の定量は重量法に基づいており、分散液1〜2gを分析天秤で秤量し、タール状のアルミニウム皿に入れる。皿を、一定の質量に達するまで、循環空気オーブン中で120℃で1時間保存する。室温(23℃)に冷却した後、最終重量を再び測定する。固形分含量は、以下のように計算される:
フリーラジカル乳化重合の水性媒体及び本発明のポリマーラテックス組成物のpHを、Schott CG840pHメーターを用いて測定した。pH 4及びpH 7の緩衝液で2点較正した後、電極を23℃の分散液に浸漬した。ディスプレイ上の一定値をpH値として記録した。
粒子サイズは、ゼタサイザーナノS動的光散乱(DLS)装置(Malvern Instruments, Incorporated, Westborough, MAから入手可能)を用いて測定した。フリーラジカル乳化重合により得られた反応生成物4滴を脱イオン水約200mLで希釈した。一部をポリスチレンキュベットに移した。装置ソフトウェアが提供する強度加重平均粒子径(z-平均)を記録した。
ラテックス粒子の実際のガラス転移温度(Tg)は、ASTM 3418−08に従う手順を使用して、Perkin Elmer DSC4000を用いた示差走査熱量測定(DSC)によって決定した。中間点温度Tmgを20℃/分の昇温速度で測定することにより、ガラス転移温度を測定した。測定温度範囲は-100℃〜180℃であった。
粘度は、スピンドル2を用いてブルックフィールドLVT粘度計を用いて23℃で測定した。約350mlの液体(気泡を含まない)をビーカーに充填し、粘度計の紡錘体をマークまで浸漬した。その後、粘度計のスイッチが入り、約1分後に値が一定になるまで記録される。装置のトルク%値は10〜100であった。粘度は60rpmで測定した。
1−K適用のために、ポリマーラテックス組成物Ex−1、CE−1〜CE−3を、スプレーガン「Walter Pilot III 2K」及び圧力容器「Walther MDG 2」を使用して噴霧した。ラテックス組成物を圧力容器に充填し、容器の圧力を約100kPaに設定した。
接着強度とは、接着剤組成物を塗布した後に、発泡体対発泡体結合を形成することを指す。30×30×30mmの立方体に切断された発泡体のサンプルを基材として使用した。2つの立方体の上面に45〜180mgのポリマーラテックス組成物を室温で噴霧した。第1の立方体の噴霧面を第2の立方体の噴霧面に置き、0.9kgの重量を立方体対の頂部に置いた。10秒後、重りを接着された立方体の対から取り除き、導線を接着された立方体の対の第1の立方体に固定した。接着強度を測定するために、第1の立方体に固定された導線を発条秤で引っ張り、接着された立方体対の第2の立方体を固定した。最大力は、第1のキューブが接着されたキューブ対の噴霧された表面上で第2のキューブから分離されるまで、発条秤を用いて測定された。試料は、0.9kgの規定負荷時間後に測定した。最大力を、5分、10分、30分、60分及び24時間後に直ちに(10秒後)測定した。立方体を、ポリマーラテックス組成物を適用する前後に重み付けして、使用されるポリマーラテックス組成物の量を決定した。
実施例1(実施例1):
201部の脱イオン水と7.71部のアクリル酸シードとの混合物を、還流冷却器、機械的撹拌器、温度プローブ及び計量ポンプを備えた2Lガラス反応器中で撹拌し、加熱した。混合物の温度が77℃に達したとき、2.3部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)及び15.53部の脱イオン水中の1.73部の過硫酸ナトリウムの開始剤溶液を反応容器に1回のショットで添加した。5分間混合した後、32.78部の脱イオン水中に1.73部の過硫酸アンモニアを含有する開始剤溶液と、1028.1部のBA、104.7部のMMA、11.5部のHEMA、57.5部のDAAM、10.35部のオレイン酸アンモニア、0.57部のリン酸カリウム及び383.5部の脱イオン水を含有するプレエマルジョンとを、270分間にわたって反応容器に供給した。供給の最初の30分間で、温度を連続的に80℃に上昇させた。0.2部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)を、供給開始後60分、180分、245分及び345分後に4回のシングルショットで添加した。プレエマルジョン添加工程の終了後、反応混合物を撹拌し、80℃で60分間維持した。混合物を室温まで冷却した。その間に、7.99部の脱イオン水中の0.88部のSFSの溶液を60分で反応混合物に供給した。1.25部のTBHP(水中70重量%)を、SFS供給の開始時に1ショットで添加した。終了後、分散液を100μmメッシュを通して濾過し、pHをアンモニアで10に調整した。その後、25.88部の水中の2.88部のADHのソリューションを分散液に添加した。
201.5部の脱イオン水と7.5部のアクリル酸シードとの混合物を、還流冷却器、機械的撹拌器、温度プローブ及び計量ポンプを備えた2Lガラス反応器中で撹拌し、加熱した。混合物の温度が77℃に達したとき、2.24部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)及び15.12部の脱イオン水中の1.68部の過硫酸ナトリウムの開始剤溶液を反応容器に1回のショットで添加した。5分間混合した後、32.78部の脱イオン水中に1.73部の過硫酸アンモニアを含有する開始剤溶液、及び1006.9部のBA、101.9部のMMA、11.2部のHEMA、4.48部のオレイン酸カリウム、0.56部のリン酸カリウム及び418.5部の脱イオン水を含有するプレエマルジョンを、270分間にわたって反応容器に供給した。供給の最初の30分間で、温度を連続的に80℃に上昇させた。0.2部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)を、供給開始後60分、180分、245分及び345分後に4回のシングルショットで添加した。プレエマルジョン添加工程の終了後、反応混合物を撹拌し、80℃で60分間維持した。混合物を室温まで冷却した。その間に、7.45部の脱イオン水中の0.39部のSFSの溶液を60分で反応混合物に供給した。0.74部のTBHP(水中70重量%)を、SFS供給の開始時に1ショットで添加した。終了後、分散液を100μmメッシュを通して濾過し、pHをアンモニアで10に調整した。
197.9部の脱イオン水と7.37部のアクリル酸シードとの混合物を、還流冷却器、機械的撹拌器、温度プローブ及び計量ポンプを備えた2Lガラス反応器中で撹拌し、加熱した。混合物の温度が77℃に達したとき、2.2部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)及び14.85部の脱イオン水中の1.65部の過硫酸ナトリウムの開始剤溶液を反応容器に1回のショットで添加した。5分間混合した後、31.35部の脱イオン水中に1.65部の過硫酸アンモニアを含有する開始剤溶液と、1071.4部のBA、17.61部のMMA、11部のHEMA、9.9部のオレイン酸アンモニア、0.55部のリン酸カリウム及び412.8部の脱イオン水を含有するプレエマルジョンとを、270分間にわたって反応容器に供給した。供給の最初の30分間で、温度を連続的に80℃に上昇させた。0.2部のアンモニア(25重量%アンモニアを含む水溶液)を、供給開始後60分、180分、245分及び345分後に4回のシングルショットで添加した。プレエマルジョン添加工程の終了後、反応混合物を撹拌し、80℃で60分間維持した。混合物を室温まで冷却した。一方、9.9部の脱イオン水中の1.1部のD−イソアスコルビン酸の溶液を60分で反応混合物に供給した。0.47部のTBHP(水中70重量%)をD−イソアスコルビン酸供給の開始時に1ショットで添加し、D−イソアスコルビン酸供給の30分後に同じ量を1ショットで添加した。終了後、分散液を100μmメッシュを通して濾過し、pHをアンモニアで10に調整した。
19.46部の脱イオン水、0.08部のドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、0.04部の炭酸水素ナトリウム緩衝液、2.37部の2−EHA、及び1.63部のIBOAの混合物を、還流冷却器、温度プローブ、機械的撹拌器、計量ポンプ、及び供給漏斗を備えた5つ口反応器フラスコ中で窒素下で撹拌及び加熱した。混合物の温度が74℃に達したとき、0.34部の脱イオン水中の0.04部の過硫酸アンモニウムの開始剤溶液を、単一ショットでフラスコに添加した。反応物を78℃に30分間保持して、シード乳化を得た。次に、0.09部の過硫酸カリウム及び0.69部の脱イオン水を含有する開始剤溶液を1ショットで添加した。2分間混合した後、21.73部品の脱イオン水、0.40部品のドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、11.64部品の2−EHA、4.34部品のBA、及び14.01部品のスチレンを含有するプレエマルジョンを、140分間にわたり精密ポンプを介して反応容器に供給した。この添加工程の終了後、反応物質を78℃で20分間加熱した。次に、0.03部の過硫酸カリウムと0.57部の脱イオン水とを含む開始剤溶液を1ショットで添加した。2分間混合した後、2回の追加の供給物を70分間かけて反応器フラスコに同時に滴下した。一方の供給は4.04部の脱イオン水及び0.38部のDAAMを含む水溶液であり、他方の供給は、12.35部のBA、0.75部のMAA、及び4.38部のMMAを含むモノマー混合物であった。これらの添加が完了した後、反応混合物を撹拌し、78℃で45分間維持した。得られたエマルジョンを25℃に冷却し、100μmメッシュを通して濾過した。次に、ADHの10重量%水溶液0.9重量部をアクリル酸分散液50重量部に添加した。
1−K適用のために、ポリマーラテックス組成物Ex−1、CE−1〜CE−3を、スプレーガン「Walther Pilot III 2K」及び圧力容器「Walther MDG 2」を使用して噴霧した。ラテックス組成物を圧力容器に充填し、容器の圧力を約100kPaに設定した。
Claims (15)
- (I) (d)アルキルカルボン酸塩を含むアニオン性界面活性剤を含む界面活性剤系存在下で
(a) 少なくとも1種のアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、
(b) 少なくとも1つの追加の官能基がエチレン性不飽和基とは異なっている、少 なくとも1つの追加の官能基を含む、少なくとも1つのエチレン性不飽和化合 物、及び
(c) 任意に少なくとも1種のポリエチレン性不飽和化合物、
を含むモノマー混合物(但し、モノマー混合物は、エチレン性不飽和酸を含まない)のpH7.5以上で行われる水性媒体中でのフリーラジカル乳化重合によって得られた反応生成物、
(II) (b)の少なくとも1つの追加の官能基と反応することができる少なくとも2つの 官能基を含む、フリーラジカル重合によって重合することができない化合物
を含むポリマーラテックス組成物。 - モノマー混合物が
(a)80〜99.5重量%のアルキル(メタ)アクリル酸、
(b)0.5〜10重量%の少なくとも1つの追加の官能基がエチレン性不飽和基とは異なってい る少なくとも1つの追加の官能基を含む、エチレン性不飽和化合物、及び
(c)0〜10重量%のポリエチレン性不飽和化合物、
(但し、重量パーセントばモノマーの総量に基づく) を含む、請求項1に記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。 - 反応混合物(I)は0.3〜5重量%のカルボン酸塩を含むアニオン性界面活性剤(但し、重量パーセンテージはモノマーの総量に基づく)を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤系(d)がアルキルカルボン酸塩及び任意に非イオン性界面活性剤を含むアニオン性界面活性剤からなり、それによって、アニオン性界面活性剤と非イオン性界面活性剤との比が、存在する場合、1:0.5〜1:0.01、好ましくは1:0.375〜1:0.02、より好ましくは1:0.2〜1:0.03、さらにより好ましくは1:0.15〜1:0.05、最も好ましくは1:0.1〜1:0.07の範囲である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- 前記ポリマーラテックス組成物が、(II)ラジカル重合によって重合可能ではなく、(b)の少なくとも1つの追加の官能基と反応可能な少なくとも2つの官能基を含む化合物を0.1〜5重量%(但し、重量パーセントばモノマーの総量に基づく)を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- 前記ポリマーラテックス組成物のpHが9〜13、好ましくは10〜11.4の範囲である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- アルキルカルボン酸塩(d)が、脂肪酸、ロシン酸、ヒドロキシアルカン酸、エポキシアルカン酸、シアノアルカン酸、ジテルペンカルボン酸の第三級アミノ塩、アンモニウム塩、アルカリ金属塩、及びジテルペンカルボン酸の不均化、部分水素化及び重合生成物からなる群から選択され、好ましくは
オレイン酸塩又はエライジン酸の第三級アミノ塩、アンモニウム塩、及びアルカリ金属塩、ステアリン酸塩、ミリステート、パルミテート、ラウレート、ウンデカネート、リノレート、カプリレート、ノナネート、カプリネート、トール油、トール油から得られるジテルペンカルボン酸、松樹脂及び根の樹脂とその不均衡、部分水素化及び重合生成物からなる群から選択され、
より好ましくは、オレイン酸ナトリウム、オレイン酸カリウム、オレイン酸アンモニウム、ステアリン酸ナトリウム、ステアリン酸カリウム、ミリスチン酸ナトリウム、ミリスチン酸カリウム、パルミチン酸ナトリウム、パルミチン酸カリウム、ラウリン酸カリウム、ウンデカン酸カリウム、リノール酸ナトリウム、リノール酸カリウム、カプリル酸カリウム、ノナン酸カリウム、カプリン酸カリウム、及び不均化ロジン酸カリウムからなる群より選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。 - 前記反応生成物が、動的走査熱量測定(DSC)によって決定される−10℃以下のガラス転移温度Tgを有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- 前記ポリマーラテックス組成物の固形分が45〜65重量%の範囲である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1つのポリマーラテックス組成物を含む、一液型水性接触接着剤。
- 剪断力を加えることによって、好ましくは噴霧によって、請求項1〜10のいずれか1つのポリマーラテックス組成物を凝固させる方法。
- (I) (d)アルキルカルボン酸塩を含むアニオン性界面活性剤を含む界面活性剤系の存在下、
(a) 少なくとも1種のアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、
(b) 少なくとも1つの追加の官能基はエチレン性不飽和基とは異なっている、少なくとも1つの追加の官能基を含む、少なくとも1つのエチレン性不飽和化合物、及び
(c) 任意選択で少なくとも1つのポリエチレン性不飽和化合物を含むモノマー混合物(ここで、モノマー混合物は、エチレン性不飽和酸を含まない)、
を7.5以上のpHで水性媒体中でのフリーラジカル乳化重合により重合され、
(II) フリーラジカル重合によって重合可能ではなく、かつ(b)の少なくとも1つの追加の官能基と反応可能な少なくとも2つの官能基を含む化合物が、フリーラジカル乳化重合の前又は後にポリマーラテックス組成物に添加される、ポリマーラテックス組成物を調製する方法。 - (d)は、請求項7におけるように定義される請求項13に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のポリマーラテックス組成物と一緒に接着された少なくとも2つの基材を含む物品。
- 物品が、衣類及び履物を含む織物及び革製品、家具部材及びマットレスからなる群から選択される、請求項14に記載の物品。
