Abstract
Description
以下、図面を参照して、本発明に係るエンジンの吸気装置500について詳細に説明する。まず、図1に示すシステム図を参照して、本発明に係るエンジンの吸気装置500が適用されるエンジンシステムSの全体構成を説明する。図1に示されるエンジンシステムSは、走行用の動力源として車両に搭載される、4サイクルのターボ付ガソリンエンジンである。
次に、吸気装置500の詳細について説明する。図3は、エンジン本体1の吸気側に配設された本発明の実施形態に係る吸気装置500の一部を示す概略斜視図である。図4は、吸気装置500を吸気側から見た概略側面図である。図5は、吸気装置500を前方から概略正面図である。図6は、吸気装置500の一部を下方から見た概略底面図である。図7は、図4の一部拡大図である。本発明の実施形態に係る吸気装置500は、前記のインタークーラー23と、前記のEGR通路41(EGR通路部340)のうちの後述するEGR側延設部341と、前記の吸気通路20(吸気通路部320)のうちの後述する吸気側延設部325と、後述するオルタネータ401及びエアコン用コンプレッサ402とを備える。なお、図3では、後述するオルタネータ401及びエアコン用コンプレッサ402の図示は省略している。
以上のように、本実施形態では、車両Vに縦置きの姿勢で配設されたエンジン本体1の吸気側つまり車幅方向の一方側に、吸気通路20の一部を構成する吸気側延設部325と、EGRクーラー42よりも下流側のEGR通路41を区画するEGR側延設部341とが配設されている。そして、EGR側延設部341の一部が、吸気側延設部325よりも後方に位置し、且つ、車両Vの前方から見たときに吸気側延設部325と重複するように配設されている。
前記実施形態では、EGR側延設部341の一部が吸気側延設部325の後方且つこれと前後方向に重複する場合を説明したが、EGR側延設部341全体が吸気側延設部325の後方且つこれと前後方向に重複するように配設されてもよい。

Claims (4)
- 所定の方向に並ぶ複数の気筒を有し、複数の前記気筒が車両の前後方向に並ぶ姿勢で車両に搭載されるエンジン本体と、
前記エンジン本体に吸気を導入する吸気通路と、
前記エンジン本体から排出された排気ガスの一部を前記吸気通路に還流させるためのEGR通路と、
前記EGR通路の途中に設けられて当該EGR通路を通過する排気ガスであるEGRガスを冷却するEGRクーラーとを備え、
前記吸気通路は、前記エンジン本体の車幅方向の一方側に設けられた側方吸気通路部を備え、
前記EGR通路は、前記EGRクーラーよりも下流側の前記EGR通路を区画して前記エンジン本体の車幅方向の前記一方側に設けられた下流側EGR通路部を備え、
前記下流側EGR通路部は、当該下流側EGR通路部の少なくとも一部が前記側方吸気通路部よりも後方に位置し、且つ、車両の前方から見たときに前記側方吸気通路部と重複するように、配設されている、ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジンの吸気装置において、
前記吸気通路を通過する吸気を冷却するインタークーラーをさらに備え、
前記インタークーラーは、車幅方向について前記側方吸気通路部及び前記下流側EGR通路部と対向し、且つ、車幅方向について前記側方吸気通路部との離間距離よりも前記下流側EGR通路部との離間距離の方が短くなるように配設されている、ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載のエンジンの吸気装置において、
前記下流側EGR通路部の前方に、車両補機が配設されている、ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。 - 請求項3に記載のエンジンの吸気装置において、
前記車両補機として第1車両補機及び第2車両補機を備え、
前記第1車両補機及び前記第2車両補機は、前記下流側EGR通路部の前方において上下方向に配設されている、ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。
