Abstract
Description
図1は、第1の実施形態に係る無線タグ読取装置1の構成の一例を示す断面図である。無線タグ読取装置1は、図1に示すように、一対の遮蔽部材2と、アンテナ3と、読取モジュール4とを備える。一対の遮蔽部材2は、無線タグが付された管理対象の物品(実施形態では例えば商品)が通過する通路(ゲート)を形成する。換言すれば、無線タグ読取装置1において、商品が通過する通路(ゲート)は、一対の遮蔽部材2の間に設けられる。以下の説明では、通路上の領域(ゲート内の領域)を読取領域Rと記載する場合もある。つまり、読取領域Rは、一対の遮蔽部材2の間に設けられる領域である。
上述の実施形態の無線タグ読取装置1おいて、一対の遮蔽部材2には、アンテナ3から放射された電波がより多く入射することが好ましい。例えば、一対の遮蔽部材2のパラボラ形状は、アンテナ3から放射された電波がより多く入射する大きさとすることができる。しかしながら、設置場所やコストの観点から、一対の遮蔽部材2の大きさに制限がある場合もある。
一般に、金属物に当たった電波のうちの一部は、金属物で反射せず、当該金属物の裏側に回り込むことがある。つまり、上述の各実施形態の無線タグ読取装置1おいて、一対の遮蔽部材2(金属物)に当たった電波のうちの一部が、一対の遮蔽部材2の裏側、すなわち読取領域Rの外部に回り込む場合がある。

Claims (5)
- 電波を反射することが可能な凹面状の反射面をそれぞれ有し、無線タグが付された物品が通過する通路を隔てて対向し、かつ、前記反射面に入射した電波が前記通路上の所定の領域に向けて反射されるように配置される一対の遮蔽部材と、
前記一対の遮蔽部材の少なくとも一方の前記反射面と前記通路との間に配置され、前記無線タグと交信するための電波を送受信するアンテナと、
前記アンテナを介して前記無線タグが記憶するデータを読み取る読取モジュールと
を具備する無線タグ読取装置。 - 前記一対の遮蔽部材の少なくとも一方の前記反射面は、パラボラ形状に形成される、請求項1に記載の無線タグ読取装置。
- 前記アンテナの放射面は、前記アンテナの前記通路の側に設けられる、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の無線タグ読取装置。
- 前記アンテナと前記通路との間に配置され、前記アンテナからの電波の指向性を制御する導波器をさらに備える、請求項1から請求項3のうちのいずれか1項に記載の無線タグ読取装置。
- 前記一対の遮蔽部材の各々の外縁部に配置されたチョーク構造をさらに備える、請求項1から請求項4のうちのいずれか1項に記載の無線タグ読取装置。
