している。なお、切削工具1は被覆層11を有さない構成であってもよい。切削工具1の大きさとしては特に限定されるものではないが、例えば、第1面5の一辺の長さが5〜20mm程度に設定され、第1面5から第1面5の反対側に位置する面(下面)までの高さは3〜20mm程度に設定される。被覆層11の厚みとしては特に限定されるものではないが、例えば、3〜25μmに設定される。切削工具1の大きさに対する被覆層11の厚みが非常に小さいため、基体3の大きさは、実質的に切削工具1の大きさと同じである。
化物換算の含有比率としては、例えば、2〜10質量%程度に設定される。第2粒子21におけるアルミナの含有比率としては、例えば、80〜100質量%程度に設定される。

Claims (8)
- Wの炭化物換算の含有比率が80質量%以上であり、WCおよびW2Cの少なくとも一方を含有する、複数の第1粒子と、
Al2O3の含有比率が80質量%以上である、複数の第2粒子と、を有し、
該第2粒子は、少なくとも1つが、タングステンと炭素とを含有する第3粒子を内部に有している、セラミック部材。 - 前記第2粒子の平均粒径が、前記第1粒子の平均粒径よりも大きい、請求項1に記載のセラミック部材。
- 前記第2粒子は、網目状に位置する前記複数の第1粒子の中に位置している、請求項1または2に記載のセラミック部材。
- 前記複数の第1粒子は、少なくとも1つが、さらに周期律表4A、5A、6Aの元素を含有している請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のセラミック部材。
- 前記複数の第1粒子は、少なくとも1つが、クロムを含有している、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のセラミック部材。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のセラミック部材を備えた切削工具。
- 前記セラミック部材の表面に、被覆膜を備えている請求項6に記載の切削工具。
- 前記被覆膜は、少なくともTiAlN層を備えている請求項7に記載の切削工具。
