- 電池セルであって:
中空コアの周囲に一緒に巻かれる電極の対と;
各電極タブが前記電極のうちの別個の1つに結合される、複数の電極タブと;
前記電極の対を包囲する可撓性外側ラッパーであって、前記複数の電極タブの各々が、該可撓性外側ラッパーの外面を越えて突出し、当該電池セルは、剛性外側ケーシングを有さない、可撓性外側ラッパーと;
を含む、電池セル。 - 前記中空コアは可撓性である、
請求項1に記載の電池セル。 - 前記中空コアはアルミニウム箔を含む、
請求項1又は2に記載の電池セル。 - 前記中空コアは剛性である、
請求項1に記載の電池セル。 - 前記中空コアは、ステンレス鋼を含む、
請求項4に記載の電池セル。 - 前記中空コアは円筒形である、

請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の電池セル。 - 前記電極の対は、巻軸の周りに巻かれ、当該電池セルは、前記巻軸に垂直な前記電極を通過する平面において実質的に円形の外側断面を有する、
請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の電池セル。 - 前記電極の対は、巻軸の周りに巻かれ、当該電池セルは、前記巻軸に垂直な前記電極を通過する平面において非円形の外側断面を有する、
請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の電池セル。 - 電池セルであって、
リング形状の断面を有する剛性円筒形コアと;
前記剛性円筒形コアの外面に被覆された第1ポリマー層と;
反極性の電極の対及び該電極の間に配置される絶縁性セパレータであって、前記ポリマー層で被覆された前記剛性円筒形コアの前記外面の周囲に一緒に巻かれる、前記電極の対及び前記絶縁性セパレータと;
前記電極の対を囲む可撓性ラッパーと;
各電極タブが前記電極のうちの別個の1つに結合されて、前記可撓性ラッパーから突出する、複数の電極タブと;
を含み、当該電池セルは、剛性外側ケーシングを有さない、
電池セル。 - 前記可撓性ラッパーは、積層アルミニウム箔を含む、
請求項12に記載の電池セル。 - 前記剛性円筒形コアは、ポリマー被覆ステンレス鋼を含む、
請求項12又は13に記載の電池セル。 - 電池セルを製造する方法であって:
電極間に配置される絶縁性セパレータとともに電極の対を剛性コアの周囲に巻くステップであって、前記電極の各々は、それに接合される複数の電極タブのうちの別個の1つを有するステップと;
前記電極及び前記絶縁性セパレータから剛性コアを除去するステップと;
前記電極及び前記絶縁性セパレータのための可撓性筐体を形成するように、前記電極及び前記絶縁性セパレータの周囲を可撓性ラッパーの層でラップするステップであって、前記複数の電極タブは前記可撓性筐体から突出し、前記電池セルは剛性外側ケーシングを有しないステップと;
を含む、方法。
