Claims (4)
- 小径部と、前記小径部に連続して形成された大径部と、を備えている高速度工具鋼製の摩擦撹拌接合工具であり、前記小径部から前記大径部に向かうにしたがって硬さが連続的に減少していることを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合工具。
- 前記小径部の硬さはロックウェル硬さCスケールで65HRC以上であり、かつ前記大径部の硬さはロックウェル硬さCスケールで60HRC以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦撹拌接合工具。
- 前記高速度工具鋼は、重量%で、炭素が1.20〜1.35%、ケイ素が0.5%以下、マンガンが0.5%以下、クロムが3.5〜4.5%、モリブデンが4.5〜5.5%、タングステンが5.5〜7.0%、バナジウムが2.5〜3.5%、コバルトが7.7〜8.8%、窒素が60ppm以下、酸素が20ppm以下、の範囲であり、残余が鉄および不可避不純物からなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の摩擦撹拌接合工具。
- 前記高速度工具鋼の鍛造方向もしくは圧延方向に対して垂直な任意の断面において組織中におけるMC型炭化物の等価円直径が4〜20μmの範囲にあり、かつ前記MC型炭化物が組織中に占める割合は3〜10%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦撹拌接合工具。
