Abstract
Description
正極活物質としてLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)及び導電材としてカーボンを92:4:4の重量比で混合した後、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて、正極合材スラリーを調製した。このスラリーを正極芯体としての厚み15μmのアルミニウム箔にコーティングした後、乾燥させ、ローラーで圧縮した後、所定の電極サイズに切断し、方形状の正極芯体の両面に正極合材層が形成された正極を作製した。なお、正極の端部に正極芯体を露出させることで正極タブを設けた。
エポキシ樹脂を積層電極体と角形外装体との間に挿入せず、スペーサを設けなかったこと以外は、実施例と同様に二次電池を作製した。
振動試験は、実施例及び比較例の二次電池を幅方向に振動させて行った。振動試験は、1回の振動試験サイクルで、ピーク加速度10Gで25Hzを所定時間、正弦波対数で掃引することにより波数を変化させながら二次電池を振動させた。加振を与えた後、5万回サイクル毎に正極タブ及び負極タブに破損がないかを透過X線により確認し、破損が確認されたサイクル回数で評価した。
Claims (8)
- 複数の電極板がセパレータを介して積層され、前記複数の電極板の各々から突出した複数の電極タブを有する積層電極体と、
前記積層電極体を収容する金属製の角形外装体と、
前記積層電極体と前記角形外装体との間の隙間に配置されて前記積層電極体を収納する1枚又は複数枚の電極体ホルダと、
前記積層電極体と前記角形外装体との間に設けられている1つ以上のスペーサと、を備え、
前記スペーサは、前記電極体ホルダが1枚の場合には、前記積層電極体と前記電極体ホルダとの間、又は前記電極体ホルダと前記角形外装体との間に設けられ、前記電極体ホルダが複数枚の場合には、前記電極体ホルダ同士の間の少なくともいずれか1つに設けられている、積層型二次電池。 - 前記スペーサの厚みは、前記隙間の距離の半分以上である、請求項1に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記スペーサは、前記積層電極体の積層方向と垂直な方向において、前記積層電極体と前記角形外装体の側面との間に設けられている、請求項1又は2に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記スペーサは、前記スペーサが配置されている面の面積の10%以上を占める、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記電極体ホルダは1枚であり、前記スペーサが前記積層電極体と前記電極体ホルダとの間にのみ設けられている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記電極体ホルダは1枚であり、前記スペーサが前記電極体ホルダと前記角形外装体との間にのみ設けられている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記スペーサは熱硬化性樹脂を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の積層型二次電池。
- 前記スペーサは膨潤樹脂を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の積層型二次電池。
