Abstract
Description
・吸気側カムスプロケット701が、タイミングチェーンTCの走行方向において、排気側カムスプロケット601よりもクランクスプロケット11に対して、近い側に位置してもよい。すなわち、オイルの漏れが多い方のカムスプロケットがクランクスプロケット11に対して、近い側に位置してもよい。
・区画壁717の数は、適宜変更されてもよい。例えば、2つや4つであってもよい。なお、区画壁717の数を変更するのであれば、それに対応して、ベーン713の数も変更される。
Claims (4)
- シリンダヘッドと、
前記シリンダヘッドに組み付けられた排気側カムシャフトと、
前記シリンダヘッドに組み付けられた吸気側カムシャフトと、
前記排気側カムシャフトの端部に取り付けられてオイルの給排により排気弁の開閉時期を変更する排気側バルブタイミング可変機構と、
前記吸気側カムシャフトの端部に取り付けられてオイルの給排により吸気弁の開閉時期を変更する吸気側バルブタイミング可変機構と、
前記シリンダヘッドの内部に区画され、オイルポンプにより汲み上げられたオイルが流通する油路と
を備えた内燃機関であって、
前記油路には、当該油路から分岐して前記排気側バルブタイミング可変機構へとオイルを導くための排気側接続通路と、当該油路から分岐して前記吸気側バルブタイミング可変機構へとオイルを導くための吸気側接続通路とが接続されており、
前記排気側バルブタイミング可変機構及び前記吸気側バルブタイミング可変機構のうち同一油圧のオイルを供給して動作させたときにオイルの漏れが多い方のバルブタイミング可変機構にオイルを導くための接続通路が、オイルの漏れが少ない方のバルブタイミング可変機構にオイルを導くための接続通路よりも前記油路上において下流側に位置している
内燃機関。 - 前記排気側カムシャフトの端部に固定された排気側カムスプロケットと、前記吸気側カムシャフトの端部に固定された吸気側カムスプロケットと、クランクシャフトの端部に固定されたクランクスプロケットとには、回転トルクを伝達するためのタイミングチェーンが掛け回されており、
排気側及び吸気側のうち、オイルの漏れが少ない方のバルブタイミング可変機構が設けられている側を上流側、オイルの漏れが多い方のバルブタイミング可変機構が設けられている側を下流側としたとき、
下流側のカムスプロケットが、前記タイミングチェーンの走行方向において、上流側のカムスプロケットよりも、前記クランクスプロケットに対して遠い側に位置している
請求項1に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記排気側バルブタイミング可変機構及び前記吸気側バルブタイミング可変機構には、オイルの給排を制御するオイルコントロールバルブが接続されており、少なくともオイルの漏れが多い方のバルブタイミング可変機構のオイルコントロールバルブは、当該バルブタイミング可変機構の径方向の中心部に挿入されている
請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記油路には、オイルを噴射するオイルジェットへとオイルを導くためのジェット接続通路が設けられており、
当該ジェット接続通路が、オイルの漏れが多い方のバルブタイミング可変機構にオイルを導くための接続通路よりも前記油路上において上流側に位置している
請求項1〜請求項3のうち何れか一項に記載の内燃機関。
