Claims (30)
- 煙感知器シールドであって、
赤外光の透過を遮断する1つ以上の材料を含むシュラウドを備え、
前記シュラウドは、
表面に取り付けられた煙感知器を受容するように寸法構成された開口を有する第1端と、
前記第1端と反対の第2端であって、前記受容した煙感知器の1つ以上の煙流入口を露出させるように寸法構成された開口を有する第2端と、
前記第1端と前記第2端との間に延在する1つ以上の側壁であって、共同で、前記露出した煙流入口を覆うことなく、前記受容した煙感知器の一部を取り囲むように構成された1つ以上の側壁と、
前記シュラウドの前記第2端の前記開口の周縁に沿って少なくとも配置されたシールであって、前記煙感知器の外面に適合するように構成されたシールと、を有する、煙感知器シールド。 - 前記シールはガスケットである、請求項1に記載の煙感知器シールド。
- 前記シールは弾性材を含む、請求項1に記載の煙感知器シールド。
- 前記シュラウドの前記第1端および前記第2端は、略硬質材料を含む、請求項1に記載の煙感知器シールド。
- 前記シュラウドの前記第1端は、略軟質材料を含み、前記シュラウドの前記第2端は、略硬質材料を含む、請求項1に記載の煙感知器シールド。
- 前記シュラウドの前記第1端の前記開口は、直径が約4インチ〜約12インチの範囲である、請求項1に記載の煙感知器シールド。

- 煙感知器を遮蔽するための装置であって、
煙感知器の少なくとも主要部を取り囲むように構成されたシュラウドと、
前記シュラウドに結合された第1端と、前記第1端と反対の第2端と、を有するポールであって、少なくとも約3.0フィートの、ある長さを有するか、または、ある長さまで延長するように構成されているポールと、を備える装置。 - 前記ポールは、少なくとも約5.0フィートの、ある長さを有するか、または、ある長さまで延長するように構成されている、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記ポールは、テレスコープ式伸縮ポールである、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記ポールを前記シュラウドから取り外すため、および/または前記ポールを2つ以上の部分片に分解するための、1つ以上のクイックリリース装置をさらに備える、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記装置を略水平面上で支持するために、前記ポールの前記第2端付近に結合された支持ベースをさらに備える、請求項11に記載の装置。

部屋の範囲内に作動的に配設された煙感知器の少なくとも一部を遮蔽することと、
前記煙感知器の前記少なくとも一部を遮蔽している間に、前記部屋の範囲内に配置された発光装置を作動させることと、を含み、
前記発光装置は、約1W/sr超の放射強度で赤外光を発するため、および/または約1W/sr超の放射強度で紫外光を発するため、および/または約3000ルーメン超の光束で可視光を発するため、のものである、方法。 - 前記発光装置は、殺菌光消毒装置である、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記発光装置を非作動にすることと、その後、前記煙感知器の遮蔽を解除することと、をさらに含む、請求項22に記載の方法。

前記煙感知器の前記少なくとも一部の周囲に前記煙感知器シールドのシュラウドを位置決めするとともに前記煙感知器が取り付けられた面に対して前記シュラウドの一端を密着させて押し当てるための高さまで、前記テレスコープ式伸縮ポールを伸長することと、を含む、請求項27に記載の方法。 - 前記発光装置を作動させるステップは、前記部屋の外から前記発光装置を遠隔操作で作動させることを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記煙感知器シールドを前記煙感知器の周囲に位置決めした後に、前記発光装置を作動させる前に、前記部屋を排気することをさらに含む、請求項29に記載の方法。
