Claims (8)
- 排気ガスが流入する触媒コンバータを有した排気浄化装置において、
前記触媒コンバータは、
前記排気ガスの入口となる上流端部と前記排気ガスの出口となる下流端部を有する外筒と、
上流端部が前記外筒内の上流側に隙間なく保持され、下流端部が前記外筒内の下流側に所定の隙間を有して配置され、内部に前記排気ガスを浄化する触媒担体が収容された内筒と、
を備え、
前記外筒の上流端部から前記内筒の内部に流入して該内筒の下流端部から排出された前記排気ガスを前記所定の隙間から前記外筒と前記内筒との間の上流側に対流させて前記排気ガスによる高温ガス層を形成したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の下流端部側を前記外筒に前記排気ガスがバイパス可能になるように複数の中間部材を介して部分的に溶着したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記所定の隙間の断面積の合計は、前記外筒と前記内筒との間の断面積の80%〜90%以内であることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の上流端部側と前記外筒との間の全周に断熱部材を介在させて該内筒の上流端部側をスライド自在にシールしたことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の下流端部側を前記外筒に前記排気ガスがバイパス可能になるように複数の断熱部材を介して部分的に固着したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項4記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記断熱部材の継ぎ目部の長さを該断面部材の横幅よりも長くなるように形成したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒を収容した前記外筒を車両の床面に対して垂直の縦置きに配置したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記外筒の前記内筒に対向する外側を断熱遮熱部材で覆ったことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
