Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 外部のアクセスポイントを介して通信相手装置と無線通信を実行する第1のモードと、前記外部のアクセスポイントを用いずに外部装置と無線通信を実行する第2のモードを並行して実行可能な通信ユニットを備えた通信装置であって、
前記通信装置の通信モードに従って、前記通信ユニットによる無線通信のためのチャネル幅を、少なくとも第1チャネル幅と、定期的なネットワーク検出処理を実行する第2チャネル幅を含む選択肢から選択する選択手段と、
前記選択手段により選択されたチャネル幅を前記通信ユニットに対して設定し、前記通信ユニットの動作を制御する制御手段とを有し、
前記通信装置が前記第1のモードと前記第2のモードとを並行して実行可能な状態である場合、前記選択手段は、前記第1チャネル幅を選択することを特徴とする通信装置。 - 前記通信装置を、前記第1のモード、前記第2のモード、又は、前記第1のモードと前記第2のモードを並行して動作させるよう設定する設定手段をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 前記設定手段は、画面に表示された情報をユーザが指示することによって設定を行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の通信装置。
- 前記選択手段は、
(1)前記通信装置が前記第1のモードで動作する場合、通信相手に従って第1のチャネル幅又は前記第1のチャネル幅とは異なる第2のチャネル幅を自動選択し、
(2)前記第1のモードと前記第2のモードとを並行して実行可能な場合、前記第1のチャネル幅を選択することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記通信ユニットの動作を一旦、停止させ、再起動した後、前記選択手段が選択したチャネル幅を前記通信ユニットに対して設定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- 前記通信ユニットは、IEEE802.11nの規格に従って無線通信を行い、
前記第1のチャネル幅は20MHzであり、
前記第2のチャネル幅は40MHzであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の通信装置。 - 前記第1のモードはインフラモードであり、
前記第2のモードはP2Pモードであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の通信装置。 - 前記通信ユニットは、無線通信を行うチップにより構成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- 前記通信ユニットは、携帯型通信端末装置から画像データを受信することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- 前記受信した画像データに基づいて画像を記録媒体に記録する記録手段をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の通信装置。
- 前記記録手段は、インクを吐出して記録を行う記録ヘッドを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の通信装置。
- 前記定期的なネットワーク検出処理は、OBSSスキャンであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- コンピュータを請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置の各手段として機能させるプログラム。
- 外部のアクセスポイントを介して通信相手装置と無線通信を実行する第1のモードと、前記外部のアクセスポイントを用いずに外部装置と無線通信を実行する第2のモードを並行して実行可能な通信ユニットを備えた通信装置の制御方法であって、
前記通信装置の通信モードに従って、前記通信ユニットによる無線通信のためのチャネル幅を、少なくとも第1チャネル幅と、定期的なネットワーク検出処理を実行する第2チャネル幅を含む選択肢から選択する選択工程と、
前記選択工程において選択されたチャネル幅を前記通信ユニットに対して設定し、前記通信ユニットの動作を制御する制御工程とを有し、
前記通信装置が前記第1のモードと前記第2のモードとを並行して実行可能な状態である場合、前記選択工程は、前記第1チャネル幅を選択することを特徴とする制御方法。
