Abstract
Description
AないしCブロックは独立にビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックまたは共役ジエンブロックで、Xは下記化学式2で表され、m、n及びoは1以上の整数で、pは0<p≦3の整数である。)
Y1ないしY4は同一または異なるし、それぞれハロゲン元素で、
qないしtは0または1の整数で、これらの中で少なくとも一つは1の整数で、
R1はC1ないしC4のアルキル基で、
R2はC1ないしC10のアルキル基で、
*は、多官能性作用基の中でビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体の中でビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックまたは共役ジエンブロック単位と結合されてもよい部分であり、この時多官能性作用基1分子当たりビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体1ないし2分子が結合されることができる。)。
R3は、C1ないしC20の脂肪族、脂環式、アルキル置換脂環式、芳香族及びアルキル置換芳香族の炭化水素基である。)
(1)アスファルト改質剤の製造
窒素に置換された10Lの反応器に精製されたシクロヘキサン4.286g及びスチレン273gを投入して撹拌しながら60℃に昇温した。60℃で上記シクロヘキサンとスチレン混合溶液にn−ブチルリチウム1.137gを投入してスチレンブロックを重合した後、これにブタジエン607.5gを投入し、上記ブタジエンが完全に消耗するまで重合した。
配合容器(heating mantle)内にアスファルト(SK社製 AP−3)500gを投入し、190℃で2,500rpmの高速のせん断速度で撹拌しながら上記で製造したアスファルト改質剤をそれぞれアスファルト組成物の総重量に対して4.8重量%の含量で添加した。
カップリング剤として3−クロロプロピルメチルジクロロシラン(CPMDS)の代わりにビス(3−クロロプロピル)ジクロロシランを使ったことを除いて、上記実施例1と同様に行ってアスファルト改質剤及びアスファルト組成物を製造した。
カップリング剤として3−クロロプロピルメチルジクロロシラン(CPMDS)の代わりにジクロロ(クロロメチル)メチルシランを使ったことを除いて、上記実施例1と同様に行ってアスファルト改質剤及びアスファルト組成物を製造した。
カップリング剤として3−クロロプロピルメチルジクロロシラン(CPMDS)の代わりにDMDCS(ジクロロジメチルシラン)を使ったことを除いて、上記実施例1と同様に行ってアスファルト改質剤及びアスファルト組成物を製造した。
上記実施例及び比較例で製造されたアスファルト改質剤を含む改質アスファルト組成物の物性を下記方法で測定し、その結果を下記表1に示す。
軟化点は、ASTM(American Society Testing and Materials)D36にしたがって測定した改質アスファルトの高温物性尺度で、1分当たり5℃ずつ水またはグリセリンを加熱する時、これによって試片が軟化し始めて試片の上に位置した直径9.525 mm、重さ3.5 gの玉が1インチ程垂れた時の温度を測定した。
アルミニウムチューブに改質アスファルト組成物50gを改良し、180℃のオーブンで72時間放置した後、三等分して上部と下部の軟化点をASTM D36方法で測定し、その温度差を計算した。
粘度は、Brookfield DV−II+ Pro Modelを用いてスピンドル27の条件でASTM D4402にしたがって135℃、160℃及び180℃で測定した。
弾性回復率は、25℃で試片を1時間放置した後、ASTM D6083−97にしたがって測定した。
Claims (9)
- 下記化学式1で表され、ビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体の主鎖に結合された多官能性作用基を含むアスファルト改質剤:
AないしCブロックは独立にビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックまたは共役ジエンブロックで、Xは下記化学式2で表され、m、n及びoは1以上の整数で、pは0<p≦3の整数である。)
Y1ないしY4は同一または異なるし、それぞれハロゲン元素で、
qないしtは0または1の整数で、これらの中で少なくとも一つは1の整数で、
R1はC1ないしC4のアルキル基で、
R2はC1ないしC10のアルキル基で、
*は、多官能性作用基の中でビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体の中でビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックまたは共役ジエンブロック単位と結合されてもよい部分であり、この時多官能性作用基1分子当たりビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体1ないし2分子が結合されることができる。)。 - 前記ビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックは、スチレン、アルファ−メチルスチレン、3−メチルスチレン、4−メチルスチレン、4−プロピルスチレン、4−シクロヘキシルスチレン及び4−(パラ−メチルフェニル)スチレンからなる群から選択された1種以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のアスファルト改質剤。
- 前記共役ジエンブロックは、1,3−ブタジエン、2,3−ジメチル−1,3−ブタジエン及び2−フェニル−1,3−ブタジエンからなる群から選択された1種以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のアスファルト改質剤。
- 前記Xは、全体ブロック共重合体の総重量1を基準にして40ないし4,700ppmであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のアスファルト改質剤。
- 前記ブロック共重合体の重量平均分子量は30,000ないし500,000g/molであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のアスファルト改質剤。
- ビニル芳香族炭化水素系単量体を炭化水素系溶媒の中で重合開始剤を利用して重合反応を行って、ビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックを製造する段階;
前記ビニル芳香族炭化水素ブロックと重合開始剤及び共役ジエン単量体を混合して重合反応を行って、ビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体を製造する段階;及び
前記ビニル芳香族炭化水素−共役ジエンブロック共重合体とカップリング剤を混合してカップリング反応を行う段階;を含む、請求項1に記載のアスファルト改質剤の製造方法。 - 前記カップリング剤は、下記化学式4で表されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のアスファルト改質剤の製造方法:
Y1ないしY4は同一または異なるし、それぞれハロゲン元素で、
qないしtは0または1の整数で、これらの中で少なくとも一つは1の整数で、
R1はC1ないしC4のアルキル基で、
R2はC1ないしC10のアルキル基である)。 - 前記カップリング剤は、(2−クロロエチル)メチルジクロロシラン、(3−クロロプロピル)メチルジクロロシラン、(4−クロロブチル)メチルジクロロシラン、(3−クロロプロピル)プロピルジクロロシラン、ビス(3−クロロプロピル)ジクロロシラン及びジクロロ(クロロメチル)メチルシランからなる群から選択された1種以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のアスファルト改質剤の製造方法。
- アスファルト、架橋剤及びアスファルト改質剤を含むアスファルト組成物において、
前記アスファルト改質剤は、請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載のアスファルト改質剤であることを特徴とする、アスファルト組成物。
