1/OTR=SUMi(1/OTRi)
しかしながら、本発明は、このように、各ラミネート層によるOTRへの個々の貢献を超えて全体のバリア性を向上させるものである。DLCコーティングとポリアミド表面との間の優れた接着性により、二つの材料間の界面が特に良好に一体化されて、これにより酸素バリア特性が向上するものと考えられている。バリアフィルムがDLCコートされたLLDPEポリエチレンフィルム基材又はポリプロピレンフィルム基材である対応するさらなる実施形態によると、ポリアミドのさらなる第2バリア層でDLCバリアコーティングのコーティングを行うことによる対応する性能向上は、約10倍であった。

Claims (19)
- バリアフィルム(11;11d;28;38)を備える、液体食品用の包装のためのラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)であって、
前記バリアフィルムは、ウェブ又はシートの形態の基層(11a;24;34)と、前記基層と連続的に接触するようにコートされたアモルファスダイアモンドライクカーボン(DLC)の第1バリアコーティング(11b;25;35a)と、主成分としてポリアミドを含み、前記第1DLCバリアコーティングの空いている表面と連続的に接触するようにコートされたさらなる第2熱可塑性バリア層(11e;29;35c)と、を備え、
前記ラミネート包装材料は、前記基層のバリアコートされた面に適用された液密性の熱封止可能な第1最外ポリマー層(12;22;32)であって、前記ラミネート包装材料から作製された包装容器の最外面を提供する第1最外ポリマー層(12;22;32)をさらに備え、その反対側である内側の前記バリアフィルムの第2面に、液密性の熱封止可能な第2最内ポリマー層(13;23;33)であって、パックされる製品と接触することになる前記ラミネート包装材料から作製された包装容器の最内面を提供する第2最内ポリマー層をさらに備える、ラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。 - 前記基層(11a;24;34)は、ポリマーフィルム基材である、請求項1に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 紙若しくは板紙又は他のセルロース系材料のバルク層(21;31)をさらに備える、請求項1又は2に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 紙若しくは板紙又は他のセルロース系材料のバルク層(21;31)をさらに備え、前記第2熱可塑性バリア層(11;29;35c)は、ポリオレフィンなどの熱可塑性ポリマーを含む少なくとも一つの中間結合層(15;26;36)により、前記バルク層の第1面にラミネートされ、前記液密性の熱封止可能な第1最外ポリマー層(12;22;32)が、その反対側である外側の前記バルク層の第2面に適用されている一方、前記液密性の熱封止可能な第2最内ポリマー層(13;23;33)は、前記バルク層に結合されている面と反対側の前記バリアフィルム(11;11d;28;38)の内側面に適用されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記少なくとも一つの結合層(16;26;36)は、前記バルク層と連続的に接触している低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)の層と、前記LDPEと前記第2熱可塑性バリア層との間の接着性ポリエチレン層、変質ポリエチレン層、又はいわゆるポリエチレン繋ぎ層と、を備える、請求項4に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記少なくとも一つの結合層(16;26;36)は、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)と接着性ポリマー、改質ポリマー、又はいわゆる相溶化剤とのブレンドを含む層であり、前記結合層は、前記バルク層と連続的に接触しており、その反対側では前記第2熱可塑性バリア層と連続的に接触している、請求項4に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記バリアフィルムの前記基層(11a;24;34)は、前記バリアコーティング(11b)でコートされた側と反対側の他面に、接着促進プライマーコーティング(11c;27;35b)を有し、前記バリアフィルムは、前記接着促進プライマーコーティングにより、前記液密性の熱封止可能な第2最内ポリオレフィン層(13;23;33)に結合されている、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記接着促進プライマーコーティング(11c;27)は、アミノシラン及びポリエチレンイミンから成る群から選択される一つ以上の化合物を含む組成物により形成されている、請求項7に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記接着促進プライマーコーティング(11c;35b)は、アモルファスダイアモンドライクカーボン(DLC)の第2コーティングである、請求項7に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記ラミネート包装材料の前記バリアフィルムは、介在する熱可塑性結合層(16)によりさらなる同一又は類似の第2バリアフィルム(11d)にラミネート及び結合された第1バリアフィルム(11)を備える二重バリアフィルムである、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記基層(11a;24;34)は、ポリエステル(ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、一軸延伸若しくは二軸延伸PET(OPET、BOPET)、非延伸若しくは一軸延伸若しくは二軸延伸ポリエチレンフラノレート(PEF)、延伸若しくは非延伸ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)、ポリエチレンナフタネート(PEN)など)、ポリアミド(非延伸若しくは延伸ポリアミド(PA、OPA、BOPA)など)、エチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー(EVOH)、ポリオレフィン(ポリプロピレン、一軸延伸若しくは二軸延伸ポリプロピレン(PP、OPP、BOPP)、ポリエチレン(延伸若しくは非延伸高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)、鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)など)など)、及びシクロオレフィンコポリマー(COC)、並びに前記ポリマーの任意のブレンドのうち任意のものをベースとしたフィルムから成る群から選択されるポリマーフィルムであるか、又は、前記ポリマー若しくはそのブレンドのうち任意のものを含む表面層を有する多層フィルムである、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記第2熱可塑性バリア層(11a;24;34)は、脂肪族ポリアミド(例えばポリアミド6など)、半芳香族ポリアミド(例えばナイロン−MXD6やSelar、PA−6I、6Tなど)、並びに前記脂肪族ポリアミド及び前記半芳香族ポリアミドのうち二つ以上のブレンドから成る群から選択されるポリアミドを備える、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記第2熱可塑性バリア層(11a;24;34)は、エチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー(EVOH)をさらに備える、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記第1アモルファスダイアモンドライクカーボンバリアコーティング(11b;25;35a)は、厚さが2〜50nm、例えば5〜40nm、例えば10〜40nm、例えば10〜35nmとなるように適用されている、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 接着促進プライマーコーティング(11c;35b)として働く第2アモルファスダイアモンドライクカーボンコーティングが、厚さが2〜50nm、例えば2〜10nm、例えば2〜5nmとなるように適用されている、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記基層(11a;24;34)は、ポリエチレンフィルムである、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記基層(11a;24;34)は、延伸PETフィルムである、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 前記基層(11a;24;34)の厚さは、8〜12μm、好ましくは10〜12μmである、請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料(10a;10b;20;30)。
- 請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のラミネート包装材料を備える包装容器(50a;50b;50c;50d)。
