Claims (16)
- 正極と負極との間に分離膜が介在している構造の電極アセンブリが電極アセンブリの収納部に装着されており、収納部の外周辺に熱融着によるシーリング部が形成されている板状型の電池セルであって、
前記シーリング部のうち電極端子の位置するシーリング部に隣接した側辺シーリング部は、電池ケースの収納部側に折曲げられた状態で収納部の外面に密着しており;
前記側辺シーリング部の表面または収納部と折曲げられた側辺シーリング部との間の余剰空間には、熱的変化に対応して相転移するPCM(phase change material)が付加されていることを特徴とする電池セル。 - 前記側辺シーリング部は、収納部の外面に密着するようにシーリング部の一部が折曲げられた少なくとも1つの折曲部を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記側辺シーリング部それぞれは、板状型電池セルの両面のうち一面が地面に平行な状態で、収納部に隣接した部位で垂直上向き折曲げられた第1折曲部と、前記第1折曲部に対向する部位で垂直下向き折曲げられた第2折曲部とを含んでおり、側辺シーリング部の外周端部が折曲げられた側辺シーリング部と収納部との間に位置する二重折曲構造を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電池セル。
- 前記二重折曲構造は、側辺シーリング部の収納部から離隔している外周端部部位を収納部側に折曲げて第2折曲部を形成した後、側辺シーリング部の収納部に隣接した部位を上向き折曲げて第1折曲部を形成することによって達成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1折曲部と第2折曲部によって内側折曲面をなす側辺シーリング部の表面にPCMがコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記PCMは、第1折曲部および第2折曲部の形成前に、側辺シーリング部の当該表面にコーティングされることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電池セル。
- 前記PCMは、内側折曲面中における第1折曲部および第2折曲部の折曲部位を除いた部位で、側辺シーリング部の表面にコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電池セル。
- 前記二重折曲構造によって、側辺シーリング部には折曲余剰空間が形成されており、前記折曲余剰空間に対応する大きさのPCM部材が折曲余剰空間に挿入されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記PCM部材は、接着剤または接着テープによって折曲余剰空間上に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電池セル。
- 前記折曲余剰空間またはPCM部材は、垂直断面上で三角形形状であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電池セル。
- 前記折曲余剰空間またはPCM部材は、横の長さが0.3mm〜1.0mmの範囲であり、縦の長さが0.5mm〜1.5mmの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電池セル。
- 前記折曲余剰空間またはPCM部材は、横の長さが0.3mmであり、縦の長さが1.0mmであることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の電池セル。
- 前記PCMは、充電または放電する電池セルの収納部と熱接触して、電池セルから発生する熱の少なくとも一部を吸収したり、またはPCMに蓄積された熱の少なくとも一部を電池セルに放出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記PCMは、有機物系PCM、無機物系PCM、およびパラフィン系PCMからなる群より選択される1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の電池セルを1つ以上含んでいることを特徴とする電池パック。
- 請求項15に記載の電池パックを電源として用いることを特徴とするデバイス。
