Abstract
Description
成分Aは、硫黄含有有機モリブデン化合物または硫黄非含有有機モリブデン化合物とすることができる。
トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体の重要な特徴は、それらが誘導体化トルトリアゾールでも誘導体化ベンゾトリアゾールでもなく、トリアゾールのアルキルアミン誘導体でもないということである。これは、有機モリブデン化合物の存在下にあるときに有効な腐食防止剤として機能する能力、なおかつフルオロエラストマーシールに対して不都合を示さない点が、重要な特徴である。本発明のトリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体は、2つの理由でより有効になると考えられる。第1に、縮合芳香族環が存在していないので、それらはより有効な腐食防止剤になる。第2に、アルキルアミンが存在していないので、それらはフルオロエラストマーシールに対して不利益でなく、または中立的とみなされる。これら2つの属性が1つの分子内で組み合わさっているのはいままでにないことである。

追加の添加剤は、酸化防止剤、分散剤、清浄剤、耐摩耗添加剤、極圧添加剤、摩擦改良剤、防錆剤、腐食防止剤、シール膨潤剤、消泡剤、流動点降下剤および粘度指数改良剤を含む群から選択される。各タイプの添加剤を1種または複数使用することができる。耐摩耗添加剤がリンを含有することが好ましい。

銅および鉛の金属に対するこれら潤滑剤の腐食の可能性を、ASTM D 6594試験方法による高温腐食ベンチ試験(HTCBT)を用いて評価した。試験方法の詳細については、ASTM規格のアニュアルブックでみることができる。被検試料には、100±2グラムの潤滑剤を使用した。銅、鉛、スズおよびリン青銅の4つの金属試料をそれぞれ被検潤滑剤に浸漬した。被検潤滑剤を135℃に維持し、乾燥空気を5±0.5L/時で通して1週間バブリングした。高荷重ディーゼルエンジン油のAPI CJ−4規格は、酸化油中の銅および鉛の金属濃度を、ASTM D 6594試験方法に従ってそれぞれ最大限20ppmおよび最大限120ppmに制限する。試験後、誘導結合プラズマ(ICP)分析技法を用いて、潤滑剤を分析して油中のCuおよびPbの金属を調べた。
エンジン油の典型的なシールエラストマーとの相溶性は、ASTM D7216に記載されている手順に従って評価された。評価に使用されたエラストマーは、FKMと通常は呼ばれているフルオロエラストマーであった。FKMは、自動車用途でエンジン油と接触して使用される典型的なシーリング材の1つである。エラストマーの相溶性は、エラストマー試料を被検潤滑剤に150℃で336±0.5時間浸漬したとき硬度および引張特性の変化を決定することによって評価される。エラストマーの引張特性および硬度は、それぞれASTM D471およびASTM D2240に記載されている手順に従って評価された。ILSAC GF−5規格は、引張特性および硬度の変化をそれぞれ(−65、+10)および(−6、+6)に制限する。結果を表4に報告する。
表5において、「ベースブレンド」は、基油、分散剤、清浄剤、VI改良剤、酸化防止剤、耐摩耗剤、および流動点降下剤からなる、SAE 0W−20粘度グレードの完全配合エンジン油である。次いで、ベースブレンドを表5に示す実施例に記載されているようにさらに配合する。
50%プロセス油中の1−(N,N−ビス(4−(1,1,3,3−テトラメチルブチル)フェニル)アミノメチル)−1,2,4−トリアゾールの調製
温度プローブ、オーバーヘッドスターラおよびディーンスターク装置を装備した500mLの三ツ口丸底フラスコに、VANLUBE(登録商標)81(ジオクチルジフェニルアミン)(62.5g、0.158モル)、1,2,4−トリアゾール(11.0g、0.158モル)、パラホルムアルデヒド(5.5g、0.158モル)、水(3g、0.166モル)およびプロセス油(37.7g)を加えた。混合物を窒素下で迅速混合しながら、100〜105℃に加熱した。混合を100℃で1時間続けた。1時間後、水流アスピレーター真空を適用し、反応温度を120℃に上げた。反応混合物をこの温度で1時間保持した。予想された量の水が回収され、完全な反応が起こったことが示唆された。反応混合物を90℃まで放冷し、容器に移した。淡コハク色液体(102.93g)を単離した。
50%プロセス油中の1,2,4−トリアゾールのブチル化/オクチル化混合ジフェニルアミン誘導体の調製
温度プローブ、オーバーヘッドスターラおよびディーンスターク装置を装備した500mLの三ツ口丸底フラスコに、VANLUBE(登録商標)961(ブチル化/オクチル化混合ジフェニルアミン)(60g、0.201モル)、1,2,4−トリアゾール(13.9g、0.200モル)、パラホルムアルデヒド(6.8g、0.207モル)、水(3.8g、0.208モル)およびプロセス油(77g)を加えた。混合物を窒素下で迅速混合しながら、100〜105℃に加熱した。混合を100°Cで1時間続けた。1時間後、水流アスピレーター真空を適用し、反応温度を120℃に上げた。反応混合物をこの温度で1時間保持した。予想された量の水が回収され、完全な反応が起こったことが示唆された。反応混合物を90℃まで放冷し、容器に移した。暗コハク色液体(138.86g)を単離した。
Claims (16)
- 多量の潤滑基油と、(A)潤滑組成物中に50ppm〜800ppmの全モリブデン含有量を供給する有機モリブデン化合物と、(B)潤滑組成物の0.01〜5.0重量%の量で存在しているトリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体とを含む潤滑組成物。
- 全モリブデン含有量が75ppm〜350ppmである、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- 有機モリブデン化合物が、モリブデンジチオカルバマートおよびモリブデンエステル/アミド錯体の一方または両方から選択される、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体が、潤滑組成物の0.05〜3.0重量%の量で存在している、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- モリブデン含有量(重量%)対トリアゾール誘導体含有量(重量%)に基づいた(A):(B)の比が、0.001:1〜20:1である、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体が、1−[ジ−(4−アルキルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾールおよび1−[(4−アルキルフェニル)(フェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾールの一方または両方から選択される、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体が、
1−[ジ−(4−ブチルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[ジ−(4−オクチルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[ジ−(4−ノニルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[(4−ブチルフェニル)(フェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[(4−オクチルフェニル)(フェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[(4−ノニルフェニル)(フェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾールおよび
1−[(4−ブチルフェニル)(4−オクチルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール
の1つまたは複数から選択される、請求項6に記載の潤滑組成物。 - 銅および/または鉛の腐食の低減が高温腐食ベンチ試験ASTM D 6594によるものである、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- 潤滑油が、成分(B)が存在していないとき高温腐食ベンチ試験ASTM D 6594によりCuおよび/またはPbに対して腐食性を示すと判定されるものである、請求項1に記載の潤滑組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物と共に使用するための添加剤組成物であって、(A)有機モリブデン組成物および(B)トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体を含み、モリブデンの重量およびトリアゾール誘導体の重量に基づいた(A):(B)の比が0.001:1〜20:1である、添加剤組成物。
- トリアゾール誘導体が、1−[ジ−(4−アルキルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾールおよび1−[(4−アルキルフェニル)(フェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾールの1つまたは複数から選択される、請求項10に記載の組成物。
- トリアゾール誘導体が、
1−[ジ−(4−ブチルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、
1−[ジ−(4−オクチルフェニル)アミノメチル]トリアゾール、

- 約50ppmと800ppmの間のモリブデンを含む高荷重ディーゼルエンジン油における銅および鉛の高温腐食を低減する方法であって、エンジン油に、トリアゾールのアルキル化ジフェニルアミン誘導体をエンジン油の0.05重量%と3.0重量%の間で添加するステップを含む、方法。
- モリブデンが、モリブデンジチオカルバマートおよびモリブデンエステル/アミド錯体の一方または両方の形で存在している、請求項14に記載の方法。
