Abstract
Description
i)49〜99重量%、好ましくは55〜90重量%の、繰り返し単位ii)以外の少なくとも1種のアクリル酸アルキルから誘導される繰り返し単位、
ii)1〜51重量%の、一般式(I)の少なくとも1種のモノマーから誘導される繰り返し単位、
CH2=C(R1)(COO(R2O)nR3) (I)
[式中、
R1は、水素またはメチルを表し、
R2は、出現ごとに独立して、直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC2〜C6アルキレン基を表し、
R3は、水素、非置換もしくはC1〜C3アルキル置換のフェニル、直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC1〜C8アルキル基、または−C(=O)R4を表し、
R4は、水素、または直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC1〜C8アルキル基を表し、そして
nは、2〜30の数を表す]、および
iii)0〜50重量%、好ましくは0〜45重量%の、エチレンから誘導される繰り返し単位、
(ここで、それらの量はそれぞれ、繰り返し単位i)〜iii)を合計した量を基準としたものである)
を含むコポリマーによって解決される。
最初に、インターナルミキサー(好ましくは、「かみ合い型(intermeshing)」ローター形状を有するインターナルミキサー)に、本発明のコポリマーを仕込み、原料を微粉砕する。適切な混合時間の後に、充填剤および添加剤を混合する。その混合プロセスの際には、温度を監視して、原料が、80〜150℃の範囲内の温度で適切な時間経過するようにする。さらなる適切な混合時間の後に、その混合物のさらなる構成成分、たとえば、場合によっては、ステアリン酸、架橋助剤、抗酸化剤、可塑剤、白色顔料(たとえば二酸化チタン)、染料、およびその他の加工活性成分を混ぜ込む。さらなる適切な混合時間の後に、インターナルミキサーのガス抜きをし、シャフトをきれいにする。さらに適切な時間の後に、架橋剤を混ぜ込む。この段階では、混合温度を厳密に監視して、ミキサーの中でスコーチがまったく起きないようにしなければならない。必要があれば、ローター速度を下げて、混合温度が上がらないようにする。さらなる適切な時間の後に、インターナルミキサーを空にして、加硫可能な混合物を得る。「適切な時間(suitable period)」とは、数秒〜数分間を意味していると理解されたい。そのようにして得られた加硫可能な混合物は、慣用される方法、たとえば、ムーニー粘度を用いるか、ムーニースコーチを用いるか、またはレオメーター試験を用いて、評価することができる。別な方法として、架橋剤を混合することなく、その混合物を抜き出し、ロールミル上で架橋剤を混ぜ込むことも可能である。
添加される成分は、上記のプロセスAと同様であってよい。
試験方法:
ガラス転移温度(Tg)は、EN ISO 11357−1:2009およびEN ISO 11357−2:2014に従い、示差走査熱量測定(DSC)により測定し、不活性ガスとしてヘリウムを使用し、変曲点法によりガラス転移温度を求める。温度のスキャン速度は、コポリマーでは20K/分、加硫物では10K/分である。
コポリマーの組成は、1H NMR(Bruker DPX400、XWIN−NMR3.1ソフトウェア付き、測定周波数400MHz)により測定した。
ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)は、DIN 55672−1、Gel Permeation Chromatography(GPC)Part 1に従い、溶離液としてテトラヒドロフラン(THF)を使用し、0.5重量%のトリエチルアミンを添加して実施した。標準としてはポリスチレンを使用した。
ムーニー粘度(ML(1+4)100℃)値は、それぞれ、ISO 289に従い、剪断ディスク粘度計を使用して100℃で測定する。
機械的性質を測定するためのスラブは、Werner & Pfleiderer加硫プレスの中で、Teflonフォイルに挟んで、所定の条件で加硫させた。
ショアーAは、ASTM−D2240−81に従って測定した。
変形の関数として応力を測定する引張試験は、DIN 53504および/またはASTM D412−80に従って実施した。
加熱エージングは、DIN 53508/2000に従って実施した。Method4.1.1“Ageing in oven with forced air circulaton”を採用した。
オイルおよび水中の浸漬は、DIN ISO 1817に従って実施した。
VAMAC GLS AEM(DuPont製):62.7重量%のアクリル酸メチル、33.4重量%のエチレン、3.9重量%のフマル酸モノエチル、TG=−25.6℃
VAMAC DP AEM(DuPont製):59.0重量%のアクリル酸メチル、41.0重量%のエチレン、TG=−29℃
SR550 メトキシポリエチレングリコール メタクリレート(PEG単位のMw:350g/mol)(Sartomer Europe製)
SR552 メトキシポリエチレングリコール メタクリレート(PEG単位のMw:約553g/mol)(Sartomer Europe製)
Antilux 110 パラフィンワックス(Rheinchemie Rheinau GmbH製)
Rhenofit TAC/S シリカ(30%)上のトリアリルシアヌレート(70%)(Rheinchemie Rheinau GmbH製)
Rhenofit DDA 老化抑制剤(ジフェニルアミン誘導体)(Rheinchemie Rheinau GmbH製)
Perkadox 14−40 B−PD 担持されたジ(tert−ブチルペルオキシイソプロピル)ベンゼン(AkzoNobel N.V.製)
Corax(登録商標)N550/30 カーボンブラック(Orion Engineered Carbons GmbH製)

5Lの撹拌オートクレーブの中で、ポリマーを製造した。1492gの量の、1490.0gのtert−ブタノールおよび2.0gのアクリル酸メチルからなる溶液、ならびに、252.5gの、2.5gのAIBN(アゾビス(イソブチロニトリル))および250.0gのtert−ブタノール溶液からなる活性化剤溶液を、5Lの反応器の中に30℃で連続的に吸引させた。窒素を用いてその反応器をパージしてから、960.0gのエチレンを用いて加圧した。温度を70℃にまで上げると、約380barの圧力となった。次いで、200.0gのアクリル酸メチルおよび50.0gのSR550からなる溶液を、その反応混合物の中に約0.46g/分の速度で9時間かけて計量仕込みした。エチレンを注入することによって、重合の間を通して圧力を380bar±10barに維持した。
Mn=48,880g/mol、Mw=109,106g/mol、Mz=183,890g/mol
エチレン=36.1重量%、アクリル酸メチル=48.2重量%、SR550=15.7重量%
ML(1+4)100℃≦10;Tg=−34℃
Teflonスターラーおよびハイインテンシティ(high−intensity)コンデンサーを取り付けた4口フラスコに、窒素下に、75gの水、5.5gのドデシル硫酸ナトリウム、62gのアクリル酸エチル、24gのアクリル酸ブチル、12gのSR552および2gのフマル酸モノエチルを仕込んだ。それに続けて、0.002gのホルムアルデヒドスルホキシル酸ナトリウムと0.005gのブチルヒドロペルオキシドとの混合物を添加した。重合を開始させ、温度を上げて30℃とした。0.5時間の重合時間の後、NaClの20%水溶液を用いて、ポリマーを沈殿させた。次いで水を用いてそのポリマーを洗浄し、75℃で真空乾燥させると、次の組成のアクリレートゴム85gが得られた:
アクリル酸エチル:62重量%、アクリル酸ブチル:24.0重量%、SR552:12重量%、フマル酸モノエチル:2.0重量%
Tg=−31℃
方法Bによりロール上でポリマーを加工して、以下の表1に示した配合にした。
Claims (16)
- 加硫物および加硫可能な組成物の製造におけるコポリマーの使用であって、前記コポリマーが、
i)49〜99重量%、好ましくは55〜90重量%の、繰り返し単位ii)以外の少なくとも1種のアクリル酸アルキルから誘導される繰り返し単位、
ii)1〜51重量%の、一般式(I):
CH2=C(R1)(COO(R2O)nR3) (I)
[式中、
R1は、水素またはメチルを表し、
R2は、出現ごとに独立して、直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC2〜C6アルキレン基を表し、
R3は、水素、非置換もしくはC1〜C3アルキル置換のフェニル、直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC1〜C8アルキル基、または−C(=O)R4を表し、
R4は、水素、または直鎖状もしくは分岐状のC1〜C8アルキル基を表し、そして
nは、2〜30の数を表す]
の少なくとも1種のモノマーから誘導される繰り返し単位、および
iii)0〜50重量%、好ましくは0〜45重量%の、エチレンから誘導される繰り返し単位、
(ここで、これらの量はそれぞれ、繰り返し単位i)〜iii)を合計した量を基準とする)
を含む、コポリマーの使用。 - 前記アクリル酸アルキルが、1〜10個の炭素原子のアルキル部分を有し、好ましくはアクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸プロピル、アクリル酸イソプロピル、アクリル酸n−ブチル、アクリル酸n−ヘキシル、アクリル酸3−プロピルヘプチル、アクリル酸2−エチルヘキシル、アクリル酸n−オクチル、およびさらにはそれらの混合物、より好ましくはアクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、およびアクリル酸n−ブチル、およびさらにはそれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記コポリマーが、いずれも繰り返し単位i)〜iii)を合計した量を基準にして、2〜40重量%、好ましくは4〜25重量%、より好ましくは6〜20重量%の一般式(I)のモノマーを含む、請求項1または2に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- R2部分が、出現ごとに独立して、エタン−1,2−ジイル、プロパン−1,3−ジイル、プロパン−1,2−ジイル、ブタン−1,4−ジイル、ブタン−1,3−ジイル、ペンタン−1,3−ジイル、ペンタン−1,4−ジイル、ペンタン−1,5−ジイル、および2−メチルブタン−1,4−ジイル、好ましくはエタン−1,2−ジイル、プロパン−1,3−ジイル、プロパン−1,2−ジイル、およびブタン−1,4−ジイル、より好ましくはエタン−1,2−ジイル、およびプロパン−1,2−ジイルからなる群より選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記R3部分が、H、CH3、CH2CH3、CH2CH2CH3、CH2CH2CH2CH3、CHO、COCH3、COCH2CH3、COCH2CH2CH3、およびCOCH2CH2CH2CH3から、好ましくはH、CH3、CH2CH3、およびCOCH3から、より好ましくはCH3、CH2CH3、およびCOCH3からなる群より選択される、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記コポリマーが、いずれも繰り返し単位i)〜iii)および1種または複数のさらなる共重合可能なモノマー(iv)を組み合わせた量を基準にして、1種または複数のさらなる共重合可能なモノマー(iv)を合計して25重量%未満、好ましくは20重量%未満、より好ましくは15重量%未満、さらにより好ましくは10重量%未満、さらにより好ましくは5重量%未満、最も好ましくは1重量%未満の量で含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記さらなる共重合可能なモノマー(iv)が、エポキシ含有アクリレート、エポキシ含有メタクリレート、2〜8個の炭素原子のアルコキシアルキル基を有するアクリル酸アルコキシアルキル、ビニルケトン、ビニル芳香族化合物、共役ジエン、α−モノオレフィン、ヒドロキシル基を有するビニルモノマー、酢酸クロロビニル、マレイン酸モノアルキル、フマル酸モノアルキル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、フッ化ビニリデン、ヘキサフルオロプロペン、塩化ビニリデン、テトラフルオロエチレン、テトラクロロエチレン、塩化ビニル、不飽和アミドモノマー、一酸化炭素、およびそれらの混合物から、好ましくはアクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸プロピル、アクリル酸n−ブチル、アクリル酸2−エチルヘキシル、アクリル酸n−オクチル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、アジピン酸ジビニル、メチルビニルケトン、エチルビニルケトン、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、ビニルトルエン、ブタジエン、イソプレン、プロピレン、1−ブテン、アクリル酸β−ヒドロキシエチル、アクリル酸4−ヒドロキシブチル、アクリル酸3−シアノエチル、アクリルアミド、N−メチルメタクリルアミド、アクリル酸2−メトキシエチル、酢酸クロロビニル、マレイン酸モノアルキル、フマル酸モノアルキル、一酸化炭素、およびそれらの混合物から、より好ましくはアクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリル酸2−メトキシエチル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、酢酸クロロビニル、マレイン酸モノアルキル、フマル酸モノアルキル、一酸化炭素、およびそれらの混合物から選択される、請求項6に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記コポリマーが、エチレン、アクリル酸メチル、および、2〜20個のエチレングリコールおよび/またはプロピレングリコール繰り返し単位を有するポリアルキレングリコール (メタ)アクリレートから誘導される繰り返し単位を、好ましくはアクリル酸ブチル、マレイン酸モノアルキル、および/またはフマル酸モノアルキルから誘導される繰り返し単位と共に含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 前記コポリマーが、2種以上のアクリル酸アルキル、好ましくはアクリル酸エチルおよびアクリル酸ブチル、および2〜20個のエチレングリコールおよび/またはプロピレングリコール繰り返し単位を有するポリアルキレングリコール (メタ)アクリレートから誘導される繰り返し単位を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項で定義したコポリマーを、1種または複数の架橋剤と混合することによる、加硫可能な組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項で定義したコポリマー、1種または複数の架橋剤、および場合により架橋収率を向上させるための架橋助剤を含む、加硫可能な組成物。
- 請求項11に記載の加硫可能な組成物を架橋させることによる、加硫物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項で定義したコポリマー又は請求項11に記載の加硫可能な組成物から、請求項12に記載のプロセスによるかまたはよらないで、得ることが可能な加硫物。
- 発泡もしくは非発泡の成形物、好ましくはケーブル導電層、ケーブルシース、ガスケット、輸送ベルト、ベローズ、ホース、シリンダーヘッドカバーガスケット、およびOリングの製造における、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- プラスチック、好ましくはPVC、ポリアミド、および/またはポリエステルにおける不揮発性の可塑剤および/または耐衝撃性改良剤としての、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
- プラスチックまたはゴム、好ましくはPVC、ポリアミド、ポリエステル、および/またはHNBRにおけるブレンド成分としての、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のコポリマーの使用。
