Claims (10)
- 分子式R2Si-(OR1)3を用いて表される液晶垂直配向膜であって、その内、R1は−Si(CH3)3、または、H原子、または、炭素原子数が1−5のアルキル基であり、R2は式(E)-B1-B2-B3-B4-C、の構造であり、
式(E)の内、B1は単結合、または、−CH2−または−(CH2)2−であり、B2は−O−、または、−COO−*、または、−OCO−*、または、−NHCO−*であり、その内、B2が持つ"*"はB3の片側に接続され、B3はフェニレン、または、炭素原子数が2−6のアルキリデン基、または、炭素―炭素の二重結合あるいは炭素―炭素の三重結合を含む炭素原子数が3−8のアルキリデン基であり、B4は−O−、または、−(CO)NH−*、または、−COO−*、または、−OCO−*であり、その内、B4が持つ"*"はCの片側に接続され、Cは炭素原子数が1−10の直鎖アルキル基であることを特徴とする、液晶垂直配向膜。 - 前記R1は、−CH3、または、−Si(CH3)3、または−CH2CH3であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶垂直配向膜。
- 前記B3は、−C6H4−、または、炭素原子数が2−6の直鎖アルキリデン基、または、−CH=CH−、または−(CH3)C=C(CH3)−であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶垂直配向膜。
- 前記Cは炭素原子数が5−8の直鎖アルキル基であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶垂直配向膜。
- 液晶表示素子の前駆体からなる前記液晶表示素子であって、前記液晶表示素子の前駆体は、導電フィルムを備えるとともに向かい合わせて設けられた二枚の基板と、基板の間に設けられた液晶媒質からなり、前記液晶媒質は液晶垂直配向膜と、液晶と、フォトポリマー単量体と、からなり、その内、前記基板表面には液晶配向膜が含まれておらず、前記液晶垂直配向膜は、初期状態において前記液晶を基板表面において垂直配向させ、前記液晶表示素子の前駆体は電圧を加えた状態において紫外線を照射し液晶表示素子を形成させ、その内、前記液晶垂直配向膜の分子式はR2Si-(OR1)3を用いて表され、R1は、−Si(CH3)3、または、H原子、または、炭素原子数が1−5のアルキル基であり、R2は式(E)-B1-B2-B3-B4-C、の構造であり、
式(E)の内、B1は、単結合、または、−CH2−、または−(CH2)2−であり、B2は−O−、または、−COO−*、または、−OCO−*または−NHCO−*であり、その内、B2が持つ"*"はB3の片側に接続され、B3は、フェニレン、または、炭素原子数が2−6のアルキリデン基、または、炭素―炭素の二重結合あるいは炭素―炭素の三重結合を備えた炭素原子数が3−8のアルキリデン基であり、B4は−O−、または、−(CO)NH−*、または−COO−*であり、その内、B4が持つ"*"はCの片側に接続され、Cは炭素原子数が1−10の直鎖アルキル基であることを特徴とする、液晶表示素子。 - 前記液晶配向剤の前記液晶媒質内における質量割合は、0.1%−5%であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の液晶表示素子。
- 前記フォトポリマー単量体の前記液晶媒質内における質量割合は、0.01%−0.1%であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の液晶表示素子。
- 本発明の実施方式の内、前記フォトポリマー単量体は、
- 以下の手順(1)及び(2)及び(3)からなる液晶表示素子の調製方法であって、(1)は、液晶垂直配向膜を、フォトポリマー単量体を含む液晶内に加えて、液晶媒質を得る手順であり、その内、前記液晶垂直配向膜の分子式はR2Si-(OR1)3を用いて表され、R1は−Si(CH3)3であり、H原子、または、炭素原子数が1−5のアルキル基であり、R2は、式(E)-B1-B2-B3-B4-C、の構造であり、
式(E)の内、B1は単結合、または、−CH2−、または−(CH2)2−であり、B2は−O−、または、−COO−*、または、−OCO−*または−NHCO−*であり、その内、B2が持つ"*"はB3の片側に接続され、B3はフェニレン、または、炭素原子数が2−6のアルキリデン基、または、炭素―炭素の二重結合あるいは炭素―炭素の三重結合を備えた炭素原子数が3−8のアルキリデン基であり、B4は−O−、または、−(CO)NH−*、または、−COO−*、または、−OCO−*であり、その内、B4が持つ"*"はCの片側に接続され、Cは炭素原子数が1−10の直鎖アルキル基であり、
(2)は、導電フィルムを備えるとともに向かい合わせて設けられた二枚の基板の間に上記液晶媒質を加え、液晶表示素子の前駆体を得る手順であり、その内、前記基板表面には液晶配向膜が含まれておらず、
(3)は、電圧を加えた状態において、上記液晶表示素子の前駆体に紫外線の照射を行い、液晶表示素子を得る手順であることを特徴とする、液晶表示素子の調製方法。 - 手順(2)の内、液晶滴下(ODF)の技術によって導電フィルムを備えた基板の間に前記液晶媒質を注入することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の液晶表示素子の調製方法。
