前記第1ベース基板上に配置される第1色相の第1カラーフィルタと、
前記第1ベース基板上に配置され、前記第1色相と相異する第2色相の第2カラーフィルタと、
前記第1ベース基板上に配置され、前記第1色相及び前記第2色相と相異する第3色相の第3カラーフィルタとを含み、
前記遮光領域中、少なくとも前記薄膜トランジスタの箇所には、前記第2カラーフィルタの層を含まずに、前記第1カラーフィルタの層と前記第3カラーフィルタの層とを少なくとも含む、複数のカラーフィルタ層による積層膜が配置され、

- 前記第1カラーフィルタは第1方向に配列された複数の画素領域を覆うように延長され、前記第2カラーフィルタは前記第1方向に配列された複数の画素領域を覆うように延長され、前記第3カラーフィルタは、前記第1方向に配列された複数の画素領域、及び、前記遮光領域における、これら複数の画素領域の間の部分を覆うように延長され、これにより帯状またはストリップ(strip)状に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ブリッジ部は、前記薄膜トランジスタと重ならないように配置されたことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1ベース基板上に配置される透明な第4カラーフィルタをさらに含み、前記第1〜第3カラーフィルタは、いずれも、前記第4カラーフィルタと重なることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1〜第3カラーフィルタ上に配置され、有機絶縁物質を含む有機膜をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記有機膜上に配置され、前記遮光領域内に配置される遮蔽電極をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1ベース基板と対向する第2ベース基板と、
前記第1ベース基板と前記第2ベース基板との間に配置される液晶層と、
前記第1及び第3カラーフィルタと重なるように配置されるメーンコラムスペーサーとをさらに含み、
前記メーンコラムスペーサーは、前記液晶層のセルギャップ(cell gap)を維持することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光領域内に配置され、透明導電物質を含む遮蔽電極をさらに含み、
前記遮光領域は、第1方向に沿って延びる第1遮光部分、及び、前記第1方向に交差する第2方向に沿って延びる第2遮光部分を含み、これら第1及び第2遮光部分が組み合わさって網(mesh)状をなしており、
前記遮蔽電極は、前記第1遮光部分に沿って延びる第1遮蔽電極部、及び、前記第2遮光部分に沿って延びる第2遮蔽電極部を含み、これら第1及び第2遮蔽電極部が組み合わさって網(mesh)状をなすが、前記ブリッジ部の箇所で省かれることにより断続しており、前記ブリッジ部と前記遮蔽電極は重ならないことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1カラーフィルタは赤色カラーフィルタであり、前記第1カラーフィルタは前記ブリッジ部の箇所で省かれることにより断続しており、
前記遮光領域中、前記ブリッジ部は、全体が、前記第3カラーフィルタの層を含む、複数のカラーフィルタ層による積層膜により形成され、この積層膜には、前記第1カラーフィルタが部分的に含まれるるか、または含まれないことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
