Abstract
Description
ここに、吐出パルス波形発生回路21、波形選択回路24及び駆動回路25は、吐出パルス印加手段を構成する。また、拡張パルス波形発生回路22、波形選択回路24及び駆動回路25は、拡張パルス印加手段を構成する。
図8の(a)は、駆動パルス信号S2が印加される前のメニスカスの状態を表している。この状態で、時点t0にて吐出パルスによりアクチュエータ30に電圧−Vが印加されて圧力室15の容積が拡張すると、圧力室15内に負の圧力が瞬間的に発生する。そしてこの状態は、インク引き込み時間D、つまりはAL時間だけ継続し、その間に共通インク室5から圧力室15内にインクが流入する。また、図8の(b)に示すように、ノズル8の先端のメニスカスが圧力室15側に後退する。
例えば前記実施形態では、シェアードウォールタイプのヘッド100を例示したが、本実施形態の駆動装置を適用できるヘッドはシェアードウォールタイプのヘッド100に限定されない。例えばノズルを時分割せずに駆動するヘッドにも本実施形態を適用することができる。
Claims (5)
- インクを収容した圧力室に圧力振動を生じさせて前記圧力室に連通するノズルからインク液滴を吐出させ、吐出後に前記圧力室内の残留振動を減衰させる吐出パルスを前記圧力室に対するアクチュエータに印加する吐出パルス印加手段と、
前記圧力室内の残留振動減衰後に、前記圧力室の容積をインクが吐出しない程度に拡張させるための拡張パルスを前記アクチュエータに印加する拡張パルス印加手段と、
を具備するインクジェットヘッド駆動装置。 - 前記拡張パルスの通電時間は、前記圧力室の固有振動周期の1/4以下である、請求項1記載のインクジェットヘッド駆動装置。
- 前記拡張パルスの通電時間は、前記圧力室の固有振動周期である、請求項1記載のインクジェットヘッド駆動装置。
- インクを収容した圧力室に圧力振動を生じさせて前記圧力室に連通するノズルからインク液滴を吐出させ、吐出後に前記圧力室内の残留振動を減衰させる吐出パルスを発生する吐出パルス発生回路と、
前記圧力室内の残留振動減衰後に、前記圧力室の容積をインクが吐出しない程度に拡張させるための拡張パルスを発生する拡張パルス発生回路と、
前記ノズルから1ドット内に吐出するドロップ数を指定するドロップ数指定回路と、
前記吐出パルス発生回路から発生された前記吐出パルスを前記ドロップ数指定回路で指定されたドロップ数だけ選択した後、前記拡張パルス発生回路から発生された前記拡張パルスを選択する選択回路と、
前記選択回路で選択された前記吐出パルス及び前記拡張パルスを前記圧力室に対するアクチュエータに印加する駆動回路と、
を具備するインクジェットヘッド駆動装置。 - インクを収容した圧力室に圧力振動を生じさせて前記圧力室に連通するノズルからインク液滴を吐出させ、吐出後に前記圧力室内の残留振動を減衰させる吐出パルスを前記圧力室に対するアクチュエータに印加し、
前記圧力室内の残留振動減衰後に、前記圧力室の容積をインクが吐出しない程度に拡張させるための拡張パルスを前記アクチュエータに印加する、インクジェットヘッド駆動方法。
