Abstract
Description
本出願は、2014年6月26日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/017,711号明細書に対して、米国特許法第35条119項に基づいて優先権の利益を主張し、その開示がその全体において参照として本明細書に援用されている。
酸コポリマー樹脂およびそれらのイオノマーを商標Nucrel(登録商標)、Surlyn(登録商標)またはSentryGlas(登録商標)でDuPontから取得した。代替的に、米国特許第8,399,096号明細書に記載される方法により、ポリマーを合成した。第一α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸は、アクリル酸またはメタクリル酸であった。上述のように、十分に高いレベルの相補量の第二α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸(ここでは、アクリル酸i−ブチルまたはアクリル酸n−ブチル)の誘導体が、反応混合物中に存在した。核磁気共鳴(NMR)分光法、滴定、または質量収支法により、表1に記載する合成ポリマーの組成を求めた。イオノマーの対イオンは、ナトリウムカチオンであった。
ASTM D3418に準拠し、米国特許第8,399,096号明細書に記載されるように示差走査熱量計分析を酸コポリマーおよびイオノマーに施した。結晶化エンタルピーを表1に報告する。本明細書に記載するイオノマー(実施例2および3)の各々の結晶化エンタルピーは、7j/g未満であるが、一方同じ中和レベルでの先行技術のイオノマー(比較例CE2)は、15j/gを超える結晶化エンタルピーを有することが、結果から実証される。
Claims (15)
- エチレンの共重合単位と、3〜10個の炭素原子を有する第一α,β−不飽和カルボン酸の共重合単位を約10〜約30wt%と、3〜10個の炭素原子を有する第二α,β−不飽和カルボン酸の誘導体の共重合単位を約5〜約15wt%とを含むエチレン酸コポリマーであって、前記共重合単位の重量百分率は、前記エチレンコポリマーの総重量を基準とし、前記共重合単位の前記重量百分率の合計が、100wt%であるエチレン酸コポリマー。
- 請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーの中和生成物であるイオノマーであって、前記第一α,β−不飽和カルボン酸のカルボン酸基の少なくとも一部が、中和されて、対イオンを有するカルボキシレート基を形成し、好ましくは、前記エチレンコポリマーに存在する前記カルボン酸基の約5%〜約90%が中和されているイオノマー。
- 前記エチレンコポリマーが、前記第一α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸の共重合単位を約20wt%〜約24wt%含む請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーまたは請求項2に記載のイオノマー。
- 前記エチレンコポリマーが、前記第二α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸の前記誘導体の共重合単位を約8wt%〜約12wt%含む請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーまたは請求項2もしくは請求項3に記載のイオノマー。
- 前記共重合酸の前記重量百分率と前記共重合酸の誘導体の前記重量百分率の合計が、約20〜約45wt%である請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーまたは請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマー。
- 前記α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸が、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、またはアクリル酸とメタクリル酸の組み合わせである請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーまたは請求項2〜5のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマー。
- 請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマーまたは請求項2〜6のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマーと、ヒドロキシル含有架橋剤とを含むポリマー組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシル含有架橋剤が、ジオールである請求項7に記載のポリマー組成物。
- N−(2−アミノエチル−3−アミノプロピル)トリメトキシシラン、3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるアジュバントを約0.025〜2.0wt%の量でさらに含む請求項7または請求項8に記載のポリマー組成物。
- 請求項7、8、および9のいずれか1項に記載のポリマー組成物を架橋した生成物。
- 請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマー、請求項2〜6のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマー、または請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載のポリマー組成物を含むシートまたはフィルム。
- インフレーションフィルムである請求項11に記載のフィルム。
- 請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマー、請求項2〜6のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマー、または請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載のポリマー組成物を含む射出成形品。
- 請求項1に記載のエチレン酸コポリマー、請求項2〜6のいずれか1項に記載のイオノマー、または請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載のポリマー組成物を含むゴルフボール。
- 請求項11または12に記載のシートまたはフィルムを含む包装材料。
