Abstract
Description
まず、図1乃至図4を参照して、本発明の実施形態によるエンジンの構成について説明する。図1は、本発明の実施形態によるエンジンの概略構成図であり、図2は、本発明の実施形態によるエンジンの吸気弁に適用される排気側可変動弁機構の概略側面図(部分的に断面図を示している)であり、図3は、本発明の実施形態による吸気側可変動弁機構のカムを示す概略側面図であり、図4は、本発明の実施形態によるエンジンの制御ブロック図である。
次に、図5を参照して、本発明の実施形態によるエンジン1の運転領域について説明する。図4は、エンジン1の運転制御マップの一例を示している。このエンジン1は、燃費の向上や排気エミッション性能の向上を目的として、エンジン負荷が相対的に低い低負荷域である第1の運転領域R11では、点火プラグ25による点火を行わずに、圧縮自己着火による圧縮着火燃焼を行う。しかしながら、エンジン1の負荷が高くなるに従って、この圧縮着火燃焼では、燃焼が急峻になりすぎてしまい、燃焼騒音が発生したり、着火時期の制御が困難になったりする(失火などが発生する傾向にある)。そのため、このエンジン1では、エンジン負荷が相対的に高い高負荷域である第2の運転領域R12では、圧縮着火燃焼の代わりに、点火プラグ25を利用した強制点火燃焼(ここでは火花点火燃焼)を行うようにする。このように、このエンジン1は、エンジン1の運転状態、特にエンジン1の負荷に応じて、圧縮着火燃焼による運転を実行するCI(Compression Ignition)運転と、火花点火燃焼による運転を実行するSI(Spark Ignition)運転とを切り替えるように構成されている。
次に、本発明の実施形態による吸気弁21の動作について具体的に説明する。

Claims (4)
- クランクシャフトの回転に同期して回転するカムと、内部にエンジンオイルが充填され、前記カムの動作によってエンジンオイルの油圧が変化する圧力室と、前記圧力室に接続されており、開閉することにより前記吸気弁に作用させる油圧を制御する油圧バルブと、を有する可変動弁機構によってエンジンの吸気弁の開閉を制御する、エンジンの制御装置であって、
前記可変動弁機構は、圧縮自己燃焼制御を行っており、かつ吸気行程時に既燃ガスと新気とを混合させている場合に、前記エンジンの負荷に応じて吸気行程における前記吸気弁の開弁時期を遅角させるように前記油圧バルブを制御し、
前記吸気弁の前記開弁時期は、所定のエンジンの負荷までは、前記エンジンの負荷に応じて所定時期まで遅角され、前記エンジンの負荷が前記所定のエンジンの負荷を超えた場合には前記所定時期とされる、エンジンの制御装置。 - 前記所定時期は、前記エンジンの回転数が高いほど進角される、請求項1に記載のエンジンの制御装置。
- 前記エンジンの回転数が所定の回転数を超えた場合には、スロットル弁の開度を小さくする、請求項1又は2に記載のエンジンの制御装置。
- 前記エンジンの回転数が所定の回転数を超えた場合には、排気シャッター弁を閉じる、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載のエンジンの制御装置。
