Claims (9)
- 支持体(T)を備え、その支持体の上にミラー層(S)が配置され、そのミラー層には透明なスペーサ層(A)が続き、そのスペーサ層の上に、明暗パターンを示す、構造化された半透明層(M)が配置され、この半透明層(M)を備えた領域が暗く見え、この半透明層(M)を備えていない領域が明るく見える光学走査式位置測定装置用の基準尺において、
この構造化された半透明層(M)の上には、シール層(V)が配置され、これらのスペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)に関する屈折率(nA,nV)と層厚(dA,dV)の積が、同じであるか、或いは奇数倍相違することを特徴とする基準尺。 - 該スペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)が同じ屈折率(nA,nV)を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基準尺。
- 該スペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)が同じ材料から構成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の基準尺。
- 該スペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)が同じ層厚(dA,dV)を有することを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の基準尺。
- 該スペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)が二酸化珪素から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1から4までのいずれか一つに記載の基準尺。
- 該半透明層(M)がクロム層から構成され、そのクロム層が、有利には、10nmよりも薄いことを特徴とする請求項1から5までのいずれか一つに記載の基準尺。
- 請求項1から6までのいずれか一つに記載の基準尺と、この基準尺(MV)を単色光を用いて走査する走査ヘッド(AK)とを備えた位置測定装置において、
基準尺(MV)の明るい領域において走査ヘッド(AK)から送出されてミラー層(S)により反射される光ビーム(4)が、スペーサ層(A)とシール層(V)を二回横切ることにより2π又はその整数倍の位相シフトを受けて、シール層(V)の境界面で直接反射された光ビーム(3)に匹敵するものとなることを特徴とする位置測定装置。 - 該シール層(V)の厚さ(dV)が、走査ヘッドで使用される光の波長の1/4をシール層(V)の屈折率(nV)で除算した値に等しいか、或いはその値の奇数倍の厚さであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の位置測定装置。
- 該スペーサ層(A)の厚さ(dA)が、走査ヘッドで使用される光の波長の1/4をスペーサ層(A)の屈折率(nA)で除算した値に等しいか、或いはその値の奇数倍の厚さであることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の位置測定装置。
