Claims (8)
- 駆動トランジスタおよび発光ダイオードを備える画素が構成された表示パネルと、
前記駆動トランジスタにおける閾値電圧の変化量ΔVthを変数とする第1相関関係式に沿って前記発光ダイオードの補償値を算出する補償値算出部、および前記算出された補償値を入力映像データに適用して補償データを生成するデータ補償部を有するタイミング制御回路と、
前記補償データの入力を受け、データ配線を通して前記画素に供給するデータドライバと、
を含み、
前記第1相関関係式は、β=a×ΔVth+b(aは第1傾き係数であり、bは第1切片定数である)である、有機発光素子表示装置。 - 前記第1相関関係式の第1傾き係数aは、第2相関関係式であるa=c×Vthi+d(cは負の第2傾き係数、dは第2切片定数、Vthiは前記駆動トランジスタにおける初期の閾値電圧)を利用して導出した値である、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子表示装置。
- 前記データ補償部は、前記駆動トランジスタの補償値を前記発光ダイオードの補償値と共に前記入力映像データに適用し、前記補償データを生成する、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子表示装置。
- 前記補償値算出部に入力された前記駆動トランジスタにおける初期の閾値電圧および現在の閾値電圧が保存される第1メモリと、
前記補償値算出部で算出された前記発光ダイオードの補償値をローディングする第2メモリと、
前記現在の閾値電圧に対応する前記駆動トランジスタの補償値をローディングする第3メモリと
を含み、
前記第2メモリと前記第3メモリは、それぞれ前記ローディングされた前記発光ダイオードの補償値および前記駆動トランジスタの補償値を、前記入力映像データの入力タイミングに同期して前記データ補償部へ出力する、請求項3に記載の有機発光素子表示装置。 - タイミング制御回路で、画素の駆動トランジスタにおける閾値電圧の変化量ΔVthを変数とする第1相関関係式に沿って前記画素の発光ダイオードの補償値を算出し、前記算出された補償値を入力映像データに適用して補償データを生成するステップと、
データドライバで、前記補償データの入力を受け、データ配線を通して前記画素に供給するステップと
を含み、
前記第1相関関係式は、β=a×ΔVth+b(aは第1傾き係数であり、bは第1切片定数である)である、有機発光素子表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1相関関係式の第1傾き係数aは、第2相関関係式であるa=c×Vthi+d(cは負の第2傾き係数、dは第2切片定数、Vthiは前記駆動トランジスタにおける初期の閾値電圧)を利用して導出した値である、請求項5に記載の有機発光素子表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記補償データを生成するステップは、
前記タイミング制御回路で、前記駆動トランジスタの補償値を前記発光ダイオードの補償値と共に前記入力映像データに適用し、前記補償データを生成するステップである、請求項5に記載の有機発光素子表示装置の駆動方法。 - 第1メモリに保存された前記駆動トランジスタにおける初期の閾値電圧および現在の閾値電圧の入力を受けて、前記タイミング制御回路で前記閾値電圧の変化量を演算し、前記発光ダイオードの補償値を算出するステップと、
前記タイミング制御回路で算出された前記発光ダイオードの補償値を第2メモリにローディングするステップと、
前記現在の閾値電圧に対応する前記駆動トランジスタの補償値を第3メモリにローディングするステップと、
前記第2メモリと前記第3メモリのそれぞれで、前記発光ダイオードの補償値と前記駆動トランジスタの補償値を前記入力映像データの入力タイミングに同期し、前記タイミング制御回路へ出力するステップと
をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の有機発光素子表示装置の駆動方法。
