Abstract
Description
ミルベース:顔料を、典型的にはミル粉砕法を用いて分散させる主要な液体。
分散剤:凝集を防止するように顔料の表面を化学的に安定化させる作用をする化合物。
分散体:顔料と、ミルベースと、分散剤と、他の任意の成分との集合体。
(25.0×F)/滴定量=KOHファクター
(式中、Fは0.1M塩酸のファクターである)。試料溶液は、試料4.0〜5.0gを正確に秤量して、乾燥した250ml三角フラスコに入れ、それを、0.1M KOHアルコール溶液でフェノールフタレインを指示薬として予め中和した混合溶媒(トルエン(分析級)50部(体積)、エタノール64OP(分析級)25部(体積)、およびn−ブタノール(分析級)25部(体積))100mlに溶解することにより調製する。次いで、この溶液を、フェノールフタレインを指示薬として用いて0.1M KOHアルコール溶液で滴定する。次いで、次式で試料の酸価を算出する。
(滴定量×KOHファクター×5.61)/試料の重量=酸価、mg KOH/gとして
(1)濾過時間
2.7μm Whatmanガラス繊維マイクロフィルタ(25mm円板状濾紙)15mlを用いて試料の濾過時間(濾過時間2.7)を測定する。較正されたインライン差圧計を備える真空ポンプに接続された好適な吸引濾過フラスコを用いて、流体15mlを濾過し、完全に濾過するのに要する時間を較正されたストップウォッチで記録する。確実に差圧計の読みが500〜1000mbarとなるようにする。この圧力の読みは、濾過時間を測定した直後に行わなければならない。
1.0μm Whatmanガラス繊維マイクロフィルタ(25mm円板状濾紙)を用いて、試料の濾過時間(濾過時間1.0)を測定する。較正されたインライン差圧計を備える真空ポンプに接続された好適な吸引濾過フラスコを用いて、前の濾過工程で回収された流体10mlを濾過し、完全に濾過するのに要する時間を較正されたストップウォッチで記録する。確実に差圧計の読みが500〜1000mbarとなるようにする。この圧力の読みは、濾過時間を測定した直後に行わなければならない。
粘度は、応力が加わったときの剪断歪みの尺度である。インクがジェットノズルを通過するとき、印加される電界は流体が小滴に分離すること(即ち、噴射)を促進するが、これは粘度が一定の範囲(即ち、10〜60cps)になる場合だけである。この範囲より高い粘度では、加えられた剪断力に対して流体の抵抗が高いため、分離した小滴の形成は困難になり;この範囲より低い粘度でも、ノズルから「滴り」出る可能性があるため、それは困難である。10wt%の希薄な分散体では、<12cpsの粘度が好ましい。比較的低い粘度は典型的には凝集の制御を示し、それは比較的高い固形分濃度%では粘度に影響を及ぼす可能性がある。
Claims (15)
- 金属酸化物と、分散剤と、ミルベースとを含む金属酸化物分散体組成物であって、前記分散剤が、リン酸ポリエステル共重合体、トリメトキシシラン化合物、トリエトキシシラン化合物、ジメチルアミノエチルメタクリレート(DMAEMA)、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記分散体が実質的に水を含まない、金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- ハイドロキノンのモノメチルエーテル(MEHQ)、ハイドロキノン(HQ)、4−ヒドロキシtempo(正式には、4−ヒドロキシ−2,2,6,6−テトラメチルピペリジン−1−オキシル)[TEMPO]、ブチルヒドロキシトルエン(BHT)からなる群から選択されるラジカル禁止剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記ラジカル禁止剤がハイドロキノンのモノメチルエーテル(MEHQ)である、請求項2に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記金属酸化物の平均直径が60ナノメートル以下である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記金属酸化物の平均直径が50ナノメートル以下である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記ミルベースが、二官能性アクリレートモノマー、一官能性アクリレート、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記ミルベースが二官能性アクリレートモノマーである、請求項6に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記金属酸化物が二酸化チタンである、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記分散剤がリン酸ポリエステル共重合体である、請求項8に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記金属酸化物が、酸化鉄(II)(FeO)、酸化鉄(II,III)(Fe3O4)、酸化鉄(III)(Fe2O3)、オキシ水酸化物およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記分散剤が、トリメトキシシラン化合物、トリエトキシシラン化合物およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項10に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 二酸化ケイ素分散体、微粉末タルク、およびチョークからなる群から選択されるチキソトロピー剤をさらに含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記チキソトロピー剤が二酸化ケイ素分散体である、請求項12に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記二酸化ケイ素分散体が、ハイドロキノンのモノメチルエーテル(MEHQ)、ハイドロキノン(HQ)、4−ヒドロキシtempo(正式には4−ヒドロキシ−2,2,6,6−テトラメチルピペリジン−1−オキシル)[TEMPO]、ブチルヒドロキシトルエン(BHT)からなる群から選択されるラジカル禁止剤を含む、請求項13に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
- 前記二酸化ケイ素分散体中のラジカル禁止剤がハイドロキノンのモノメチルエーテル(MEHQ)である、請求項14に記載の金属酸化物分散体組成物。
