本特許出願は、2014年11月13日に出願された、「Modular Sloped Roof Solar Mounting System」という表題の米国非仮特許出願第14/541,127号明細書の優先権を主張するものであり、この非仮特許出願は、2013年11月14日に出願された、「Modular Sloped Roof Solar Mounting System」という表題の米国仮特許出願第61/904,049号明細書の利益を主張するとともに、2014年6月18日に出願された、「Modular Sloped Roof Mounting System」という表題の米国仮特許出願第62/014,054号明細書の利益を更に主張し、これら明細書の各々の開示内容は、全体が本明細書に記載されているかの如く参照により本明細書に援用される。

Claims (18)
- 支持面取付装置において、前記支持面取付装置が1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを支持面に取り付けるように構成され、前記支持面取付装置が、
支持面に取り付けられるように構成された下部支持部材と、
1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールに係合するように構成されたクランプ組立体であって、前記下部支持部材に対して適所に固定されるように構成されるクランプ組立体とを備え、
前記クランプ組立体は、前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールが前記支持面に取り付けられるときに調節を可能にするように、前記下部支持部材に対して適所に固定されるよりも先に前記下部支持部材の長さに沿って選択的に位置決めされることが可能であることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。 - 請求項1に記載の支持面取付装置において、前記支持面取付装置の前記クランプ組立体が、下部クランプ部材と上部クランプ部材とを備え、前記上部クランプ部材がねじ締結装置により前記下部クランプ部材に連結されることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項2に記載の支持面取付装置において、前記クランプ組立体の前記下部クランプ部材が、前記下部クランプ部材の対向配置された外側面から外方に延びる1対のレッジを備え、前記1対のレッジの一方が、スカート装着部材の一部分を受け入れるように前記1対のレッジの一方に配置された溝を備えることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項2に記載の支持面取付装置において、上部支持部材を更に備え、前記上部支持部材が、前記下部支持部材に対して前記クランプ組立体を回転させるためのハンドルとして動作し、それにより、前記下部支持部材に対して前記クランプ組立体を適所に係止するように構成されることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項4に記載の支持面取付装置において、前記ねじ締結装置が更に、前記クランプ組立体を前記上部支持部材に連結することを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項1に記載の支持面取付装置において、工具を使用せずに前記下部支持部材に対して前記クランプ組立体を適所に係止するカム式係止機構を更に備えることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを1つまたは複数の他の光電池モジュールに取り付けるように構成された結合装置において、前記結合装置が、
前記下部結合部材の側面から外方に延びる少なくとも1つのレッジを含む下部結合部材と、
上部結合部材であり、そこから外方に延びる少なくとも1つのフランジ部分を含む上部結合部材であって、少なくとも1つの締結装置により前記下部結合部材に調節可能に連結される上部結合部材とを備え、
前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールおよび前記1つまたは複数の他の光電池モジュールが、前記下部結合部材の前記少なくとも1つのレッジと前記上部結合部材の前記少なくとも1つのフランジ部分との間にクランプされるように構成されることを特徴とする結合装置。 - 請求項7に記載の結合装置において、前記下部結合部材が、対向配置された外側面を有する1対のほぼ垂直壁を更に含み、かつ、前記少なくとも1つのレッジが、前記ほぼ垂直壁の前記対向配置された外側面から外方に延びる1対のレッジを備えることを特徴とする結合装置。
- 支持面取付装置において、前記支持面取付装置が1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを支持面に取り付けるように構成され、前記支持面取付装置が、
回転可能なベース部材であって、前記回転可能なベース部材が回転中心軸線を中心に枢動可能であり、前記回転可能なベース部材が支持面に取り付けられるように構成される、回転可能なベース部材と、
1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールに係合するように構成されたクランプ組立体であって、前記回転可能なベース部材に結合されるクランプ組立体とを備え、
前記クランプ組立体は、前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールが前記支持面に取り付けられるときに調節を可能にするように、前記回転可能ベース部材が前記支持面に対して適所に固定されるよりも先に前記回転可能なベース部材の周方向経路に沿って選択的に位置決めされることが可能であることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。 - 請求項9に記載の支持面取付装置において、前記支持面取付装置の前記クランプ組立体が、下部クランプ部材と上部クランプ部材とを備え、前記上部クランプ部材が第1のねじ締結部材により前記下部クランプ部材に連結されることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項10に記載の支持面取付装置において、第2のねじ締結部材を更に備え、前記第2のねじ締結部材が前記クランプ組立体を前記回転可能なベース部材に結合することを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 請求項9に記載の支持面取付装置において、前記回転可能なベース部材と水切り部材を前記支持面に取り付けるための締結具を受け入れるように構成された締結具開口を有する前記水切り部材を更に備え、水が前記締結具開口を通過するのを防止するために、前記締結具開口が前記水切り部材の隆起位置を貫通して配置されることを特徴とする支持面取付装置。
- 複数の光電池モジュールを支持面上で支持するための装着システムにおいて、前記装着システムが、
支持面取付装置であって、前記支持面取付装置が1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを支持面に取り付けるように構成され、前記支持面取付装置が、クランプ組立体であって、前記クランプ組立体の外側から延びる少なくとも1つの上向きテーパ状のレッジを含むクランプ組立体を含む、支持面取付装置を備え、
前記少なくとも1つの上向きテーパ状のレッジが、前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを前記クランプ組立体において確実に保持するために、前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールに対して圧縮力を加えるためのばねとして機能するように構成されることを特徴とする装着システム。 - 請求項13に記載の装着システムにおいて、前記クランプ組立体が、前記1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールの周縁部に沿った任意の場所に取り付けられることが可能であることを特徴とする装着システム。
- 請求項13に記載の装着システムにおいて、モジュール結合装置を更に備え、前記モジュール結合装置が、1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを1つまたは複数の他の光電池モジュールに取り付けるように構成されることを特徴とする装着システム。
- 請求項13に記載の装着システムにおいて、前記装着システムが、複数の光電池モジュールに跨るように構成される装着レールを含まないことを特徴とする装着システム。
- 複数の光電池モジュールを支持面上で支持するための装着システムにおいて、前記装着システムが、
支持面取付装置であって、前記支持面取付装置が1つまたは複数の光電池モジュールを支持面に取り付けるように構成され、前記支持面取付装置が、クランプ組立体であって、前記クランプ組立体が下部クランプ部材と上部クランプ部材とを含み、前記下部クランプ部材が前記下部クランプ部材の外側から延びる外方に延びる構成部品を有する、クランプ組立体を含む、支持面取付装置と、
スカート装着部材であって、第1の複数の突起を備えるスカート装着部材と、
スカート部材であって、前記スカート部材が第2の複数の突起を備え、前記スカート部材上の前記第2の複数の突起が、前記スカート装着部材上の前記第1の複数の突起に嵌合係合するように構成される、スカート部材と
を備えることを特徴とする装着システム。 - 請求項17に記載の装着装置において、前記スカート装着部材が、前記クランプ組立体の前記下部クランプ部材の前記外方に延びる構成部品における溝と係合するように構成された下方に延びる部分を備え、かつ前記スカート部材が、前記クランプ組立体の前記上部クランプ部材と係合するように構成されることを特徴とする装着システム。
