Claims (12)

  1. 熱回収蒸気発生器(「HRSG」)内に位置する溶融カーボネート燃料電池を使用して、COを低下させるために排出物ガスを処理する方法であって、
    前記HRSGのインレットを通して、CO含有排出物ガスを受け取り、受け取られたガス流を形成することと;
    前記受け取られたガス流を、前記HRSG内に位置する、複数の溶融カーボネート燃料電池を含む燃料電池スクリーンに通過させ、前記受け取られたガス流よりも少なくとも約50体積%少ないCOを含むカソード排出物ガスを生じさせることであって、前記受け取られたガス流の実質的に全てを前記溶融カーボネート燃料電池のカソード部分に通過させることと;
    前記カソード排出物ガスを第1の熱交換器に通過させることと;
    前記カソード排出物ガスを排出物スタックに通過させることと
    を含む、方法。
  2. 前記受け取られたガス流を前記燃料電池スクリーンに通過させる前に、前記受け取られたガス流をダクトバーナーに通過させることをさらに含、請求項1に記載の方法。
  3. 前記受け取られたガス流を前記ダクトバーナーに通過させることが、前記受け取られたガス流を、少なくとも約4m/秒の空塔速度で前記ダクトバーナーに通過させることを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
  4. 前記受け取られたガス流を、約m/秒以下の空塔速度で前記燃料電池スクリーンに通過させることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  5. 前記カソード排出物ガスを、少なくとも約4m/秒の空塔速度で前記第1の熱交換器に通過させることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  6. 前記HRSGの前記インレットを通して受け取られた前記CO 含有排出物ガスが、少なくとも約4m/秒のインレットでの空塔速度を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
  7. 前記燃料電池スクリーンが第1の層および第2の層を含み、かつ前記方法が、前記受け取られたガス流を、前記第1の層に通過させる少なくとも第1のガス流部分および前記第2の層に通過させる第2のガス流部分に分割することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  8. 前記受け取られたガス流を前記燃料電池スクリーンに通過させる前に、前記受け取られたガス流を第2の熱交換器に通過させることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  9. 前記複数の溶融カーボネート燃料電池が、約1500mA/mよりも高い電流密度で作動され、請求項1に記載の方法。
  10. 前記CO 含有排出物ガスが、ガスタービンからの排出物ガスを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  11. 前記カソード排出物が、前記第1の熱交換器に熱を提供する流路において、前記ガスの実質的に全てを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  12. 前記カソード排出物におけるCO濃度を、前記受け取られたガス流と比較して、少なくとも約65%低下させるように前記燃料電池スクリーンの大きさが設定される、請求項に記載の方法
