Description
Claims (16)
- 隙間ないシールにより少なくとも2つのパイプ部を互いに接合するための継手であって、
第1の管の第1の管端および第2の管の第2の管端をそれぞれの対向する管状スリーブ開口部に挿入することができる、対向する管状スリーブ開口部を有する中空の管状主要本体と、
前記第1の管端を前記継手に封着するための、近位封着区域および遠位封着区域を含む第1の対の円周方向封着区域と、
前記第2の管端を前記継手に封着するための、近位封着区域および遠位封着区域を含む第2の対の円周方向封着区域と、
各それぞれの封着区域に円周方向シールを形成するための封着手段と、
を備える継手であって、
前記第1の対の円周方向封着区域の間に、前記第1の対の封着区域におけるシールの完全性を試験するために使用することができる、入口を有する第1の円周方向圧力室が設けられており、
前記第2の対の円周方向封着区域の間に、前記第2の対の封着区域におけるシールの完全性を試験するために使用することができる、入口を有する第2の圧力室が設けられており、
前記継手は、前記第1の対の封着区域間に少なくとも1つの第1の低温区域と、前記第2の対の封着区域間に少なくとも1つの第2の低温区域と、前記第1の低温区域と前記第2の低温区域との間に少なくとも1つの近位低温区域とを含むことを特徴とする継手。 - 前記封着手段は、前記封着区域のうちの少なくとも1つに円形シールを形成するための第1の手段を備え、前記第1の手段は、化学的融着、摩擦圧接による融着、ミラー溶接による融着および電気融着を形成するための手段から選択される、請求項1に記載の継手。
- 前記第1の手段は電気融着手段である、請求項2に記載の継手。
- 前記電気融着手段は、前記継手の内面の中または上に設けられた、前記封着区域を取り囲む第1の電気融着コイル部と、前記第1の電気融着コイル部に電流を供給するための接点とを備える、請求項3に記載の継手。
- 前記封着手段は、前記封着区域の少なくとももう一方の間に第2の円形シールを形成するための第2の手段を備え、前記第2の手段は、前記継手内に形成された凹みに配置されたOリングを備える、請求項2に記載の継手。
- 前記第1および第2の対の封着区域の少なくとも1つは、電気融着手段を備えた近位封着区域と、凹みに配置されたOリングを備えた遠位封着区域とを含む、請求項5に記載の継手。
- 前記凹みは、前記封着区域間に、前記凹みが前記圧力室から遠ざかる方向に徐々に狭くなっていくような前記圧力室領域から遠位に先細りになる側面を有し、よって、前記室が加圧されると前記Oリングが前記狭まっていく凹みに押し付けられて前記シールがさらに隙間のない状態となる、請求項5または6に記載の継手。
- 各低温区域は、5〜15mmの範囲、好ましくは10〜12mmの範囲で前記継手の主軸に沿った幅を有する、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の継手。
- 前記2つの管状開口部の間から前記主要本体から延在するさらなる管状本体部をさらに備え、前記さらなる管状本体部は一対の封着区域を有する第3の管状開口部を備える、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の継手。
- T形状またはY形状の継手を形成する、請求項9に記載の継手。
- 前記圧力室の少なくとも1つは、前記圧力室の各側の封着区域間に継手の内面から切り出された溝を含む、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の継手。
- 前記圧力室の少なくとも1つは、前記継手に挿入される管部の表面に適切に位置づけられた円周方向溝と嵌合するための入口を有する区域として設けられている、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の継手。
- 前記溝が、溝の幅が前記継手の主要内面に近い方のより幅の狭い部分とより幅が広い部分とを有するような断面を有する、請求項11に記載の継手。
- 前記溝は、少なくとも1つの側面に先細りの表面を有し、前記溝と、隣接する封着区域に近接する前記継手の主要内面との間に突出するエッジを形成している、請求項13に記載の継手。
- サドル継手の形態の継手であって、
パイプ部をその中に受け入れるように寸法決めされた半管形状の主要部と、
前記半管部の長手方向軸とある角度をなして前記半管の円形または楕円形の穴から延在する管状部と、
を備え、
前記半管部は、第1の対の円形または楕円形の封着区域と、前記半管部の内面と嵌合するパイプの外面との間に、前記半管部内の穴および前記半管部内に配置される前記嵌合するパイプ内の対応する嵌合穴を取り囲む円形または楕円形シールを形成するための第1の封着手段とを備え、
前記管状部は、第2の対の円形の封着区域と、前記管状部の前記内面と、前記管状部に挿入される嵌合するパイプの前記外面との間に円形シールを形成するための第2の封着手段とを備え、
前記第1の対の円形または楕円形の封着区域との間に圧力室があり、かつ
前記第2の対の円形封着区域の間に圧力試験室があることを特徴とする継手。 - 前記第1および第2の封着手段は電気融着を形成するための手段である、請求項15に記載の継手。
