Abstract
Description
「含む」または同様の用語は、包含するが限定しないことを意味し、すなわち含むものであって排他的なものではない。
フレームであって、例えば剛性のまたは柔軟性のない性質、非常に柔軟な可逆的または変形可能な性質、または剛性と非常に柔軟なものとの間の中間の柔軟性または曲げ性の性質、を有する、管または類似の筐体などの、内部空洞を有するフレーム、および、
内部空洞内に位置し、かつ随意的にはフレームの外部またはフレームの内部空洞内などの、フレームの一部に取り付けられた、フレキシブルライナ、
を備え、フレームは、フレキシブルライナ内に液体サンプルを受け入れるための、さらに内部空洞内の受け入れた液体サンプルを可逆的に密封する、例えば、ねじ式キャップ、圧入プラグ、スナップ嵌合プラグ、または類似の部材などの、閉鎖部材を受けるための、第1の開口端部を有し、かつフレームは、例えば物品用のホルダに係合するための、または代わりにフレキシブルライナとサンプル内容物とを空洞内の第1の位置から移動させる排出器を受け入れるための、第2の開口端部を有している。
可逆的に変形可能でありかつ弾性体である、内部空洞を有する柔軟なフレームを備え、フレームは、内部空洞内に液体サンプルを受け入れるための、さらに内部空洞内の受け入れた液体サンプルを可逆的に密封する随意的な閉鎖部材を受けるための、第1の開口端部を有し、かつフレームは、フレーム用ホルダに係合するための第2の閉鎖端部を有している。柔軟なフレームの実施形態では、凍結したサンプルをフレームの内部空洞から、排出部材を挿入する必要なく(すなわち、排出部材なしで)排出することができる。内部空洞は、例えば中空の円筒形状を有しかつ円筒のベースを第1の開口端部に向けてもよく、あるいは中空の円錐形状を有しかつ円錐のベースを第1の開口端部に向けてもよい。
物品のフレキシブルライナによって画成される空洞に、液体サンプルを充填するステップ、
物品を、例えば適切な閉鎖具で密封するステップ、
充填され密封された物品を冷却して、液体サンプルを固体サンプルへと変化させるステップ、および、
固体サンプルを、物品の空洞内のライナから受入れ用容器内へと、排出器を用いて排出するステップ、
を有してなる。
物品の内部に液体サンプルを充填するステップ、
物品を適切な閉鎖具で密封するステップ、
充填され密封された物品を冷却して、液体サンプルを固体サンプルへと変化させるステップ、および、
物品の柔軟なフレームを手動でまたは機械的に圧迫するまたは絞ることによって、固体サンプルを物品から受入れ用容器内へと排出するステップ、
を有してなる。
液体サンプルまたは固体サンプルを保持するための内部空洞を有する凍結保存物品であって、この物品の内部空洞内のサンプルを、例えば気密および液密に密封するための閉鎖具をさらに有している、凍結保存物品、
物品を保持するための、ホルスタ、
物品のフレームが剛性でありかつフレキシブルライナを有している場合には、物品の内部での凍結したサンプルすなわちワークピースを排出するための、排出器、および、
物品を使用するための取扱説明書、
を備えている。
物品において、
内部空洞を有するフレーム、および、
フレームの内部空洞内に位置しているフレキシブルライナ、
などの本書で画成される1以上の開示される態様を有している物品であって、
前記フレームが、フレキシブルライナ内に液体サンプルを受け入れるための、さらに内部空洞内の受け入れた液体サンプルを可逆的に密封する閉鎖部材を受けるための、第1の開口端部を有し、かつフレームが、物品用のホルダに係合するための、またフレキシブルライナとサンプル内容物とを空洞内の位置から移動させる排出器を受け入れるための、第2の開口端部を有している、物品。
物品のライナに液体サンプルを充填するステップ、
物品を密封するステップ、
充填され密封された物品を冷却して、液体サンプルを固体サンプルへと変化させるステップ、
固体サンプルを、約0.5分から20年などの期間の間、極低温で保管するステップ、および、
固体サンプルを、物品から受入れ用容器内へと、排出器を用いて排出するステップ、
など、本書で画成される1以上の開示されるステップを有してなる、フレキシブルライナを有する上記物品の使用方法。
柔軟なまたは可逆的に変形可能な、内部空洞を有するフレーム、
などの本書で画成される1以上の開示される態様を有している物品であって、
前記フレームが、フレキシブルライナのないすなわちフレキシブルライナを含まない内部空洞内に、液体サンプルを受け入れるための、さらに内部空洞内の受け入れた液体サンプルを可逆的に密封する閉鎖部材を受けるための、第1の開口端部を有し、かつフレームが、フレーム用ホルスタに係合するための第2の閉鎖端部を有している、物品。
柔軟な可逆的に変形可能なフレームを有する物品の内部に、液体サンプルを充填するステップ、
物品を密封するステップ、
充填され密封された物品を冷却して、液体サンプルを固体サンプルへと変化させるステップ、
固体サンプルを、約0.5分から20年などの期間の間、極低温で保管するステップ、および、
物品の柔軟なフレームまたは変形可能な本体を、手動でまたは機械的に圧迫するまたは絞ることによって、固体サンプルを物品から受入れ用容器内へと排出するステップ、
など、本書で画成される1以上の開示されるステップを有してなる、柔軟なフレームを有する上記のライナのない物品の使用方法。
液体サンプルまたは固体サンプルのための内部空洞を有する凍結保存物品と、この物品の内部空洞内のサンプルを密封するための閉鎖具、
物品を保持するためのホルスタ、
物品のフレームが柔軟および可逆的に変形可能でありかつライナを有しているまたは有していない場合には、物品の内部の凍結したサンプルを、例えばフレームを絞るまたは圧迫することによって排出する排出器、および、
物品を使用するための取扱説明書、
などの、本書で画成される1以上の開示される態様を含む、凍結保存キット。
プラスチッククライオチューブ、クライオバイアル、またはこの両方は、典型的には多数個取り成形で作製される射出成形製品である。クライオチューブは、例えば、ポリプロピレン、ポリスチレン、ポリエチレン、ポリメチル・メタクリレート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリメチルペンテン、ポリカーボネート、ポリスルホン、ポリスチレン共重合体、ポリプロピレン共重合体、環状オレフィン共重合体、フッ素重合体、ポリ(スチレン‐co‐無水マレイン酸)またはポリアミド、およびこれらまたは関連材料の類似の重合体または共重合体のうちの、少なくとも1つから成形され得る。開示されるクライオチューブ、クライオウェルプレート(cryowell plate)、および内袋から凍結した細胞を排出するのを助ける機器も、類似の重合体材料から成形または熱成形することができる。内袋を有する開示される容器は、例えば内袋にオーバーモールドされ得る外側クライオチューブまたはクライオウェルプレートを有するものでもよいし、あるいは袋を、射出成形の後に、熱溶接、接着、超音波溶接、および類似の方法、またはこれらの組合せなど、当技術において既知の任意の取付方法を用いて取り付けてもよい。内袋は、例えば、膜または多層膜積層体を、熱成形または熱密封することによって生成され得る。管材料を押出成形し、切断して密封し、袋を形成してもよい。袋は、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、パーフルオロ化ポリマー、ポリエステル、ポリジメチルシロキサン、および、これらの材料の混合物および積層体を含めた類似の材料、およびこれらの組合せから作製され得る。あるいは実施形態において、内袋はセルロースなどの生分解可能な材料から成るものでもよい。

Claims (10)
- 物品であって、
内部空洞を有するフレーム、および、
前記内部空洞内に位置している、フレキシブルライナ、
を備え、
前記フレームが、前記フレキシブルライナ内にサンプルを受け入れるための第1の開口端部を有し、かつ前記フレームが、前記物品用のホルスタに係合するための、また前記フレキシブルライナと前記サンプルの内容物とを前記空洞内の位置から移動させる排出器を受け入れるための、第2の開口端部を有していることを特徴とする物品。 - 前記フレームが、前記第1の開口端部と前記第2の開口端部とを有する、中空円筒または中空円錐であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の物品。
- 前記内部空洞内の受け入れた前記サンプルを可逆的に密封する、閉鎖部材をさらに備え、かつ前記閉鎖部材が、前記フレームのねじ山に係合するよう適合された、ねじ式キャップ、前記フレームに係合する随意的なストラップを有する、圧入プラグ、またはこれらの組合せ、のうちの少なくとも1つを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の物品。
- 前記排出器が、前記物品と一体のもの、オペレータに装着されているもの、静止した外部支持体に取り付けられているもの、ロボットの外部支持体に取り付けられているもの、またはこれらを組み合わせたもの、であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の物品。
- 複数の連動排出器を備えた、前記物品と一体の少なくとも1つの排出器をさらに備え、前記複数の連動排出器が複数のクライオチューブに位置合わせされており、かつ前記複数の連動排出器が、前記複数のクライオチューブに、少なくとも1つのばね部材で分離されて取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の物品。
- 前記物品を保持し、かつ前記閉鎖部材を、人間の片手で、または単一の機械的把持部で、取り外すことを可能にする、前記ホルスタをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の物品。
- 物品において、
内部空洞を有する変形可能なフレームであって、前記内部空洞内にサンプルを受け入れるための第1の開口端部、および該フレーム用のホルスタに係合するための第2の閉鎖端部を有するフレーム、
を備えた物品。 - 前記内部空洞が中空の円筒形状を有し、かつ前記円筒のベースが前記第1の開口端部の位置にある、あるいは、前記内部空洞が中空の円錐形状を有し、かつ前記円錐のベースが前記第1の開口端部の位置にあることを特徴とする、請求項7記載の物品。
- 前記内部空洞内の受け入れた前記サンプルを可逆的に密封し、かつ前記内部空洞から液体窒素を排除する、閉鎖部材をさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項7記載の物品。
- 請求項1の物品の使用方法であって、
前記物品の内部空洞内のライナにサンプルを充填するステップ、
前記物品を密封するステップ、
充填され密封された前記物品を冷却して、前記サンプルを凍結させるステップ、および、
凍結した前記サンプルを、前記物品の前記内部空洞から受入れ用容器内へと、排出器を用いて排出するステップ、
を有してなる方法。
