Claims (13)
- パウチ型二次電池であって、
前記パウチ型二次電池は、少なくとも外部保護層、金属基材及びシール層がラミネートされた上部パウチフィルムと下部パウチフィルムを含むパウチ包装材を用いてセルアセンブリを包み、前記パウチ包装材をヒートシール工程を通じて密封してなり、
前記パウチ包装材の周縁に沿って前記上部パウチフィルムと前記下部パウチフィルムとの前記シール層が融着して形成されたシール領域を含み、前記二次電池の断面を基準に前記シール領域の表面から水平に延びた第1直線と、前記シール領域に隣接した前記パウチ包装材の断面傾斜ライン上の各地点で形成できる接線のうち平均傾きを有する接線に該当する第2直線との交差点から、前記シール領域の境界線まで測定した距離であるシールマージンが前記シール領域から流出したシール残余物の流動距離より大きいパウチ型二次電池。 - 前記セルアセンブリが、分離フィルム上に多数の単位セルを一定間隔で配列した後、前記分離フィルムを単位セルと一緒に一定方向に折り畳んだ積層−巻取構造を有する請求項1に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記セルアセンブリが、前記シール領域の進行方向に沿って両側に分離フィルムスタブを含む請求項2に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記分離フィルムスタブの先端は、前記交差点を中心に前記セルアセンブリの内側に位置が限定される請求項3に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記シール領域の幅が、1.5〜10mmである請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記シールマージンが、1.5mm以上又は電池厚さの2倍未満である請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記シールマージンが、2mm以上である請求項6に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記パウチ包装材は、少なくとも4つのシール領域を含み、
前記4つのシール領域のうちいずれか1つのシール領域が他のシール領域より相対的に大きいシールマージンを有する請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載のパウチ型二次電池。 - 前記シールマージンが相対的に大きいシール領域は、電解液が注入される方向に位置する請求項8に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記セルアセンブリは、分離フィルムによって電気的に分離された多数の単位セルを含み、
各単位セルは、少なくとも正極板、負極板及びこれらの間に介在されたセパレータを含む請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のパウチ型二次電池。 - 前記セルアセンブリは、それぞれの単位セルに含まれた正極板及び負極板から延びて導出された多数の正極タブ及び多数の負極タブと、
前記多数の正極タブ及び前記多数の負極タブとそれぞれ接合された正極リード及び負極リードと、を含み、
前記正極リードと前記負極リードの一端が外部に露出するように、前記セルアセンブリが前記パウチ包装材内に密封される請求項10に記載のパウチ型二次電池。 - 前記正極リード及び前記負極リードと前記パウチ包装材との間にシールテープが介在される請求項11に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
- 前記正極リード及び前記負極リードが露出した方向を基準に左側と右側にあるシール領域のシールマージンはシール残余物の流動距離より大きく、
前記正極リード及び前記負極リードが露出した方向及び/またはその反対側に位置したシール領域のシールマージンはシール残余物の流動距離より小さい請求項11または12に記載のパウチ型二次電池。
