Claims (15)

  1. 無弁のマイクロ流体の、複数の導管を有する固定カートリッジにおいて化学反応を検出するための自動化された検査を行うための方法であって、前記方法が、
    a.哺乳類である対象由来の試料を無弁のマイクロ流体の、複数の導管を有する固定カートリッジに提供することと、
    b.自動化された検査を行うことであって、
    i.少なくとも1つの圧力による力を前記カートリッジ内の第1のチャンバ内の少なくとも1つの組成物に提供し、10から1000マイクロリットル(μL)の容量の流体懸濁液と前記試料の少なくとも一部とにおける前記化学反応を誘導して第2のチャンバ内に処理された試料を生成するためにカートリッジにあるベローズのアクチュエータを作動させることと、
    ii.前記ベローズを解放して前記処理された試料が前記第2のチャンバから前記第1のチャンバへと戻るように誘導することと、
    iii.前記処理された試料に放射線を当てて複数のスペクトルの違う信号を生成することと、
    iv.複数発光検出器を用いて前記複数のスペクトルの違う信号を検出することであって、前記複数のスペクトルの違う信号は少なくとも1つのレポーター機能と関連し、前記少なくとも1つのレポーター機能が、前記少なくとも1つの組成物と前記試料との前記化学反応を報告するように適合される、検出することと、
    v.前記複数発光検出器から出力されたデータを処理し、それによって前記化学反応を検出することと、
    を含む自動化された検査を行うことと、
    を含む方法。
  2. 前記少なくとも1つの圧力による力が、少なくとも1つの陽圧の力と、少なくとも1つの陰圧の力とを含む、請求項に記載の方法。
  3. 前記少なくとも1つの陽圧の力および少なくとも1つの陰圧の力が、陽圧と陰圧とが交互に入れ替わる力を含む、請求項に記載の方法。
  4. 前記ベローズが、少なくとも1つの膨張可能なチャンバを含む、請求項に記載の方法。
  5. 前記化学反応が、少なくとも1つの中間体を含む、請求項に記載の方法。
  6. 前記少なくとも1つの圧力による力が、前記少なくとも1つの組成物からなる組成物のいくつかの組み合わせに順次提供される、請求項に記載の方法。
  7. 前記試料が、生体試料である、請求項に記載の方法。
  8. 前記化学反応が、前記生体サンプルに対するフローサイトメトリー検査の結果を提供する、請求項に記載の方法。
  9. 前記化学反応が、哺乳類である対象の生物学的状態を判定するためである、請求項に記載の方法。
  10. c)前記対象由来の試料を前記カートリッジ内で既定期間だけインキュベートすることと、
    d)少なくとも1つのレポーター要素に応じた指示を受け取って、前記対象の前記生物学的状態の指示を提供することと、
    をさらに含む、請求項に記載の方法。
  11. 前記生物学的状態が、白血病、血小板減少性の免疫系障害、局所的感染、尿路系疾患、自己免疫疾患および敗血症などの血液疾患から選択される、請求項10に記載の方法。
  12. 前記カートリッジ内に配置された前記少なくとも1つの組成物が、敗血症バイオマーカーを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
  13. 前記バイオマーカーが、CD64およびCD163のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
  14. 前記指示が、定量的である、請求項10に記載の方法。
  15. 前記サンプルが、200マイクロリットル(μL)未満の体積である、請求項10に記載の方法。
