Abstract
Description
Claims (5)
- ハニカムフィルタの試験方法において、
(I)ハニカムフィルタであって、前記ハニカムフィルタの軸に沿って第一の端部分と第二の端部分を含み、複数の交差多孔壁により画成されるハニカム状の通路網を含み、前記ハニカム状の通路網が前記ハニカムフィルタの前記軸に沿って前記第一の端部分と前記第二の端部分との間に延びるハニカムフィルタを提供するステップと、
(II)前記ハニカムフィルタの平均温度を約10℃〜約30℃の範囲内に保持するステップと、
(III)水滴を含む霧を前記ハニカムフィルタの前記第一の端部分において前記ハニカム状の通路網の中に流すステップであって、前記水滴の相対湿度が少なくとも80%であるステップと、
(IV)前記ハニカムフィルタの前記第二の端部分の、前記ハニカム状の通路網から出る前記霧の水滴をモニタするステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ステップ(III)が、約10℃〜約30℃の範囲内の温度の前記霧を流すことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(III)が、平均液滴粒径が約1マイクロメートル〜約25マイクロメートルの水滴を含む霧を流すことを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(III)が、前記霧を約32Pa〜約37Paの前記第一の端部分と前記第二の端部分との間の圧力差で流すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(III)が、前記霧を前記ハニカム状の通路網に約0.075m/秒〜約0.1m/秒の流速で流すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の方法。
