Abstract
Description
本発明は、概して、官能化ゴムに関し、より具体的には、ゴムエラストマーおよびそれらから作製された生成物を官能化するための方法に関する。
この実施例は、カルボキシル部分を用いて官能化された天然ゴムのマスターバッチを混合するための方法を図解する。100phrの天然ゴムは、商品名LUPEROX PNP 25下のペンシルヴェニアのArkema,Inc.から得られた4.57phrの過酸化物2−プロペンペルオキシ酸,3−カルボキシ−,1−(1,1−ジメチルエチル)エステル,(2Z)生成物を用いて、バンバリー混合機に添加された。この生成物は、ペースト形式で、25重量%の過酸化物を含有し、残りの75重量%は活性成分であり、それで、混合機に添加された25重量%のPNP 25だけが活性過酸化物であった。
この実施例は、ゴム組成物中の実施例1から生成されたマスターバッチの使用を図解する。それぞれの配合物は、表1に示される成分量を用いて調整された。証拠W1は、実施例1で生成されたマスターバッチのどれも含まず、一方で、配合物F1−F6は、表1に示されるように官能化マスターバッチ(FMB)の20phr、60phr、80phr、または100phrを含んだ。
天然ゴムではなく合成ポリイソプレンゴムを用いることを除いて、実施例1に記載のものと同じ手順を用いて、合成ポリイソプレンゴムのマスターバッチは、カルボキシル部分を用いて官能化された。この実施例は、ゴム組成物中のこの合成ポリイソプレンゴムマスターバッチの使用を図解する。それぞれの配合物は、表2に示される成分量を用いて調整された。証拠W2は、合成ポリイソプレンゴムマスターバッチのどれも含まず、一方で、配合物F7は、表2に示されるように官能化マスターバッチ(FMB)の20phrを含んだ。
Claims (20)
- 官能化ゴムを生成するための方法であって、
天然ゴム、合成ポリイソプレンゴム、またはそれらの組み合わせから選択されるジエンゴムと、式R1−O−O−R2(式中、R1は、水素または4〜15個の炭素原子の有機基から選択され、R2は、アミノ基、アミド基、ヒドロキシル基、スルフィド基、エポキシ基、スズ含有基、アルコキシシリル基、シラノール基、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、チオカルボニル基、アンモニウム基、ニトリル基、イミン基、またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される官能基を含む)によって表される有機過酸化物とを混合機に添加することと、
前記ジエンゴムおよび前記有機過酸化物を含む混合組成物を、前記混合組成物が120℃〜190℃の目標温度に到達するまで混合することと、
前記有機過酸化物を分解して、カルボキシル官能基を含む分解生成物を提供することと、
前記分解生成物の少なくとも一部を前記ジエンゴムの少なくとも一部と反応させて、前記官能化ゴムを生成することと、
前記混合組成物を前記密閉式混合機から下ろすことと、
前記混合組成物を冷却することと、を含む、方法。 - R2がカルボキシル官能基である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記目標温度が150℃〜170℃である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物を0.5phr〜10phrの量で添加することをさらに含む、請求項1または請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物量が1phr〜5phrである、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物が、2−プロペンペルオキシ酸,3−カルボキシ−,1−(1,1−ジメチルエチル)エステル,(2Z)である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物が、2−プロペンペルオキシ酸,3−カルボキシ−,1−(1,1−ジメチルプロピル)エステル、プロパンペルオキシ酸,3−カルボキシ−,1−(1,1−ジメチルエチル)エステル,(2Z)、またはプロパンペルオキシ酸,3−カルボキシ−,1−(1,1−ジメチルプロピル)エステルから選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ジエンゴムが前記天然ゴムである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記ジエンゴムが前記合成ポリイソプレンゴムである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記混合組成物を前記目標温度で3〜10分の間保持することをさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記混合組成物が、前記ジエンエラストマーおよび前記過酸化物から本質的に成る、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物が、式R3−O−O−R1−O−O−R2によって表され、式中、R3が水素または4〜15の炭素原子の有機基から選択される、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- R3がカルボキシル官能基を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- R1が、アミノ基、アミド基、ヒドロキシル基、スルフィド基、エポキシ基、スズ含有基、アルコキシシリル基、シラノール基、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、チオカルボニル基、アンモニウム基、ニトリル基、イミン基、またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される第2の官能基を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 架橋性エラストマー組成物に基づくゴム組成物を含むタイヤ構成部材であって、前記架橋性エラストマー組成物が、100重量部のゴムにつき(phr)、
請求項1または2に記載の方法によって生成された5phr〜100phrの前記官能化エラストマーと、
0phr〜95phrの追加のジエンエラストマーと、
補強充填剤と、
加硫系と、を含む、タイヤ構成部材。 - 前記補強充填剤がシリカである、請求項14に記載のタイヤ構成部材。
- 前記補強充填剤が、カーボンブラック、シリカ、またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される、請求項14に記載のタイヤ構成部材。
- タイヤ構成部材を製造するための方法であって、
ゴム組成物の成分であって、請求項1または2に記載の方法によって生成された5phr〜100phrの前記官能化エラストマーと、0phr〜95phrの追加のジエンエラストマーと、補強充填剤とを含む成分を、非生産的混合物に一緒に混合することと、
前記非生産的混合物を冷却することと、
加硫系を前記非生産的混合物に混合して、前記非生産的混合物を生産的混合物に変換することと、
前記タイヤ構成部材を前記生産的混合物から形成することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記補強充填剤がシリカである、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記補強充填剤が、カーボンブラック、シリカ、またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される、請求項17に記載の方法。
