Claims (11)
- シャンク(2)とフルート部分(3)とを含むツイストドリルであって、前記フルート部分がドリル先端部(4)とシャンク(2)の間に延在し、かつ少なくとも2条の溝(5)を有し、該2条の溝がねじれ角度(α)で螺旋状に周方向に延在し、かつ2つのウェブ(6)により互いから離れ、前記2条の溝(5)間でフルート部分(3)の周囲に延在するランド(9)を有しているツイストドリルにおいて、
前記ランド(9)上には、ドリル軸(10)との関係においてねじれ角度(α)より大きいものの90°未満である傾斜角度(β)を成すと共に、前記ランド(9)上に延在している少なくとも2つのそれぞれ互いに離れているマージン(11)が備わることを特徴とするツイストドリル。 - 前記傾斜角度が、ねじれ角度よりも少なくとも5°大きく、85°未満、好ましくは80°未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- ドリル先端部の後ろの短尺部分において、マージンを含むランドが1°を超える逃げ角を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のツイストドリル。
- ドリル先端部から出発し、マージンを規定するフルート部分の直径が、ドリル先端部からシャンクに向かう間隔(A)内で連続的に漸次細くなっていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 細くなる割合が、細くなる部分の長さ100mmあたり0.1〜0.8mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 間隔(A)がドリル直径の少なくとも3倍であり、最大でフルート部分の長さ(L)に対応していることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 間隔(A)が長さ(L)よりも短く、あらゆるマージンを含めたフルート部分の直径が間隔(A)と長さ(L)の間の領域において一定であり、ドリル先端部から間隔(A)のところにおける細い部分の直径に対応していることを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- その長手方向の広がりに対し垂直に測定したマージンの幅が0.2〜5mm、好ましくは0.5〜1.5mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜7の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 隣接するマージン間の間隔が、少なくとも0.2mm、最大で5mm、好ましくは0.5〜1.5mmの間であることを特徴とする請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 隣接するマージン間の凹部の深さが、0.01〜0.5mm、好ましくは0.05〜0.2mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
- 固体炭化物金属の一体物であることを特徴とする請求項1〜10の何れか一項に記載のツイストドリル。
