Abstract
【解決手段】電池モジュール1は、複数の電池セル11を配列してなる配列体2を備え、電池セル11のケース12内には、セパレータ23を介して正極21及び負極22を積層してなる電極組立体13と、当該電池セル11が過充電状態となった場合に反応を開始してガスを発生させる過充電添加剤が添加された電解液と、ガスの発生によってケース12の内圧が閾値以上に上昇した場合に充電電流を遮断する電流遮断装置26と、が収容され、ケース12の外側面12aには、過充電添加剤の添加量に応じて予め設定されたガスの発生量の下限値に対してケース12の内圧が電流遮断装置26の作動圧以上となるようにケース12の膨張を規制する剛性部材31が固定されている。

Claims (5)
- 複数の電池セルを配列してなる配列体を備えた電池モジュールであって、
前記電池セルのケース内には、
セパレータを介して正極及び負極を積層してなる電極組立体と、
当該電池セルが過充電状態となった場合に反応を開始してガスを発生させる過充電添加剤が添加された電解液と、
前記ガスの発生によって前記ケースの内圧が閾値以上に上昇した場合に充電電流を遮断する電流遮断装置と、が収容され、
前記ケースの外側面には、
前記過充電添加剤の添加量に応じて予め設定された前記ガスの発生量の下限値に対して前記ケースの内圧が前記電流遮断装置の作動圧以上となるように前記ケースの膨張を規制する剛性部材が固定されている電池モジュール。 - 前記剛性部材は、前記配列体における前記電池セルの配列方向から見て、前記電極組立体と重なるように、前記ケースにおける前記配列方向の外側面に配置されている請求項1記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記剛性部材は、前記外側面において対辺をなす一対の縁部間にわたって延在している請求項1又は2記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記剛性部材は、前記縁部に隣接する一対の外側面間にわたって延在している請求項3記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記剛性部材は、接着によって前記外側面に固定されている請求項1〜4のいずれか一項記載の電池モジュール。
