Abstract
【解決手段】電池パック12の外殻ケース21内に収容される二次電池ユニット22は、外殻ケース21とは別の電池ケース25を用いその電池ケース25内に二次電池セル26を収容して密閉構造とすると共に、二次電池セル26からガスが生じた際の電池ケース25の内圧が所定内圧値を超えることで開弁する弁部29を電池ケース25に備えて構成される。

Description
図1に示す電動工具10は、作業者が片手で把持可能な手持ち式で充電式の電動工具である。電動工具10は、モータ及び制御回路(共に図示略)等を備える電動工具本体11に対して着脱可能な電池パック12が装着されて構成され、電池パック12から電動工具本体11側への電力供給に基づいて動作する。
ここで仮に、電池ケース25に弁部29の無い構成とした場合、二次電池セル26からガスが生じて電池ケース25の内圧が高まると、やがて電池ケース25に亀裂が生じる等、電池ケース25を破損へと導く。これを踏まえ本実施形態では、電池ケース25(ケース本体25a)に弁部29を設け、二次電池セル26からガスが生じて電池ケース25の内圧が高まった際、電池ケース25が破損する十分手前で弁部29が開弁動作するようになっている。つまり、弁部29から優先的にガスを逃がす構造としたことで、この弁部29以外の電池ケース25の破損が未然に防止されている。弁部29から逃げたガスは、防水防塵性能が電池ケース25よりも低い設定となっている外殻ケース21の隙間から外部に放出されるようになっている。
(1)電池パック12の外殻ケース21内に収容される二次電池ユニット22は、外殻ケース21とは別の電池ケース25を用いその電池ケース25内に二次電池セル26を収容して密閉構造にて構成される。加えて、この電池ケース25には、二次電池セル26からガスが生じた際の電池ケース25の内圧が所定内圧値を超えることで開弁する弁部29が備えられる。これにより、電池パック12内の防水防塵性能の向上を図りつつ、二次電池セル26から万一ガスが生じた際、弁部29以外の電池ケース25を破損させることなくそのガスを外部に逃がすことができる。
・電池ケース25を放熱効果が高い材料、構造にて構成してもよい。
・電池ケース25に設ける弁部29の構造、二次電池ユニット22(電池ケース25)の防水防塵構造、回路基板23の防水防塵構造はそれぞれ上記実施形態以外で適宜変更してもよい。
・これらの他、電池パック12の構成を適宜変更してもよい。
(付記1)電動工具本体に対して着脱可能であり、前記電動工具本体への装着により前記電動工具本体側に電力供給を行う電動工具用の電池パックであって、
前記電池パックの外殻ケース内に収容される二次電池ユニットは、前記外殻ケースとは別の電池ケースを用いその電池ケース内に二次電池セルを収容して密閉構造とすると共に、前記二次電池セルからガスが生じた際の前記電池ケースの内圧が所定内圧値を超えることで開弁する弁部を前記電池ケースに備えて構成されていることを特徴とする電池パック。

前記二次電池ユニットは、前記回路基板と電気的接続を図るための複数の接続端子を一部に集約配置して構成されていることを特徴とする電池パック。
Claims (2)
- 電動工具本体に対して着脱可能であり、前記電動工具本体への装着により前記電動工具本体側に電力供給を行う電動工具用の電池パックであって、
前記電池パックの外殻ケース内に収容される二次電池ユニットは、前記外殻ケースとは別の電池ケースを用いその電池ケース内に二次電池セルを収容して密閉構造とすると共に、前記二次電池セルからガスが生じた際の前記電池ケースの内圧が所定内圧値を超えることで開弁する弁部を前記電池ケースに備えて構成されていることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1に記載の電池パックにおいて、
前記電池パックの外殻ケース内に回路基板が収容されるものであり、
前記二次電池ユニットは、前記回路基板と電気的接続を図るための複数の接続端子を一部に集約配置して構成されていることを特徴とする電池パック。
