Abstract
Description
第1基板と第2基板との間に液晶層を保持した表示パネルを備え、前記第1基板は、ゲート配線と、前記ゲート配線と交差する第1乃至第3ソース配線と、前記ゲート配線及び前記第1ソース配線と電気的に接続された第1スイッチング素子と、前記ゲート配線及び前記第2ソース配線と電気的に接続された第2スイッチング素子と、前記ゲート配線及び前記第3ソース配線と電気的に接続された第3スイッチング素子と、前記第1ソース配線と前記第2ソース配線との間に位置し、前記第1スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第1画素電極と、前記第1ソース配線と前記第2ソース配線との間に位置し、前記第2スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第2画素電極と、前記ゲート配線と交差し、前記第2ソース配線及び前記第3ソース配線を挟んで前記第1画素電極及び前記第2画素電極と隣り合い、前記第3スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第3画素電極と、を備えた表示装置が提供される。
図9は、本実施形態の単位画素UPXA及び比較例の単位画素UPXBのそれぞれの構成を概略的に示す図である。
Claims (5)
- 第1基板と第2基板との間に液晶層を保持した表示パネルを備え、
前記第1基板は、
ゲート配線と、
前記ゲート配線と交差する第1乃至第3ソース配線と、
前記ゲート配線及び前記第1ソース配線と電気的に接続された第1スイッチング素子と、
前記ゲート配線及び前記第2ソース配線と電気的に接続された第2スイッチング素子と、
前記ゲート配線及び前記第3ソース配線と電気的に接続された第3スイッチング素子と、
前記第1ソース配線と前記第2ソース配線との間に位置し、前記第1スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第1画素電極と、
前記第1ソース配線と前記第2ソース配線との間に位置し、前記第2スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第2画素電極と、
前記ゲート配線と交差し、前記第2ソース配線及び前記第3ソース配線を挟んで前記第1画素電極及び前記第2画素電極と隣り合い、前記第3スイッチング素子と電気的に接続された第3画素電極と、
を備えた表示装置。 - 前記第2基板は、
前記ゲート配線、及び、前記第1乃至第3ソース配線と対向する遮光層と、
前記第1画素電極と対向する第1色の第1カラーフィルタと、
前記第2画素電極と対向し、第1色とは異なる第2色の第2カラーフィルタと、
前記第3画素電極と対向し、第1色及び第2色とは異なる第3色の第3カラーフィルタと、を備えた、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第3カラーフィルタは、前記第1カラーフィルタ及び前記第2カラーフィルタよりも大きな面積を有する、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1基板はさらに、
前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第1画素電極とを中継する第1中継電極と、
前記第2スイッチング素子と前記第2画素電極とを中継する第2中継電極と、
前記第3スイッチング素子と前記第3画素電極とを中継する第3中継電極と、を備え、
前記第1乃至第3中継電極は同一直線上に並んでいる、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1画素電極は第1櫛歯電極を有し、前記第2画素電極は第2櫛歯電極を有し、前記第3画素電極は第3櫛歯電極を有し、
前記第1乃至第3櫛歯電極は、互いに平行に延出し、
前記第1櫛歯電極は、前記ゲート配線を挟んで前記第2櫛歯電極とは逆方向に延出した、請求項4に記載の表示装置。
