Abstract
【解決手段】イオン液体が含浸されたセパレータは、集電体の表面と接触しない構造を有する蓄電装置である。セパレータは、筒状、袋状、又はシート状を有する。セパレータは、セルロースを有する。イオン液体を有する蓄電装置は、難揮発性および難燃性を示す。蓄電装置は曲げることができる。

Description
本実施の形態では、負極を囲むように、筒状のセパレータを配置した二次電池の構造を説明する。
セパレータとは、正極と負極との接触を防止するために、これらの間に配置される。当該セパレータは、正極と負極との間のイオンの移動を妨げないため、微細孔を有する。当該微細孔により、固体以外の電解質の通過も可能となる。当該セパレータは、蓄電装置を使用する環境に応じて、状態変化の少ないものがよい。高温環境であっても、状態変化が少ないと好ましい。状態変化する場合であっても、正極と負極が接触しなければよい。
イオン液体は、液体状態の塩であり、イオン移動度(伝導度)が高い。また、イオン液体は、カチオンとアニオンとを含む。イオン液体は、イミダゾリウム系イオン液体、又はピリジニウム系イオン液体がある。
正極集電体には、ステンレス、金、白金、亜鉛、鉄、銅、アルミニウム、チタン等の金属、およびこれらの合金など、導電性の高い材料を用いることができる。また、シリコン、チタン、ネオジム、スカンジウム、モリブデンなどの耐熱性を向上させる元素が添加されたアルミニウム合金を用いることができる。また、シリコンと反応してシリサイドを形成する金属元素で形成してもよい。シリコンと反応してシリサイドを形成する金属元素としては、ジルコニウム、チタン、ハフニウム、バナジウム、ニオブ、タンタル、クロム、モリブデン、タングステン、コバルト、ニッケル等がある。正極集電体は、箔状、板状(シート状)、網状、パンチングメタル状、エキスパンドメタル状等の形状を適宜用いることができる。正極集電体は、厚みが10μm以上30μm以下のものを用いるとよい。
正極活物質には、LiFeO2、LiCoO2、LiNiO2、LiMn2O4、V2O5、Cr2O5、MnO2等の化合物を材料として用いることができる。
負極集電体は、リチウム等のキャリアイオンと合金化することがない、導電性の高い材料を有する。例えば、ステンレス、鉄、銅、ニッケル、またはチタンを用いることができる。また、負極集電体は、箔状、板状(シート状)、網状、パンチングメタル状、エキスパンドメタル状等の形状を適宜用いることができる。負極集電体は、厚みが10μm以上30μm以下のものを用いるとよい。
負極活物質は、キャリアイオンの吸蔵放出が可能であれば特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、リチウム金属、炭素系材料、シリコン、シリコン合金、スズなどがある。また、リチウムイオンの挿入および脱離が可能な炭素系材料としては、非晶質若しくは結晶性を有する炭素材料、例えば、粉末状若しくは繊維状の黒鉛を用いることができる。
本実施の形態では、上記実施の形態に記載された正極及び負極の配置が異なる形態について図2を用いて説明する。具体的には、外側に、負極を配置した構造である。
本実施の形態では、上記実施の形態等に記載されたセパレータとは、別の形状のセパレータについて図3を用いて説明する。本実施の形態では、セパレータが開口部を有する。
上記実施の形態に記載されたいずれの蓄電装置は、曲げることができる。本実施の形態では、蓄電装置を曲げた場合について図4を用いてを説明する。
本実施の形態では、蓄電装置を曲げた場合において、セパレータに開口部を設ける構成について図5、および図6を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、蓄電装置を曲げた場合において、セパレータに開口部を設ける別の構成について図7を用いて説明する。
本発明の一態様である蓄電装置は、電力により駆動する様々な電気機器の電源として用いることができる。
次に、本発明の一態様である蓄電装置を備えた電気機器の一例として、携帯情報端末について説明する。
さらに、電気機器の一例である移動体の例について、図11を用いて説明する。
