Abstract
【解決手段】用紙Pにインクを噴射して記録を行う記録部14と、インクを貯留する液体貯留部30と、終端に用紙が排出される媒体排出口26が設けられた媒体排出路20と、用紙を、媒体排出口から排出する排出ローラーと、媒体排出口から排出される用紙を載置面61に載置する載置台60と、を備え、媒体排出路は、記録部により記録された用紙が媒体排出口まで搬送される間において、記録面を内側にして湾曲するとともに、記録面が反重力方向+Z側に向く状態から重力方向−Z側に向く状態に用紙を反転させる湾曲反転経路を有し、液体貯留部は、媒体排出路および用紙が載置台へ載置されるまでに描く移動軌跡で構成される媒体排出軌跡よりも鉛直方向における反重力方向側に配置されている。

Description
上記課題を解決する記録装置は、媒体に液体を噴射して記録を行う記録部と、前記記録部に供給する前記液体を貯留する液体貯留部と、前記記録部により記録された前記媒体が搬送され、終端に当該媒体が排出される媒体排出口が設けられた媒体排出路と、前記媒体を、前記媒体排出路に沿って搬送するとともに、前記媒体排出口から前記媒体排出路外へ排出する排出ローラーと、前記媒体排出口から排出される前記媒体を載置面に載置する載置台と、を備え、前記媒体排出路は、前記記録部により記録された前記媒体が前記媒体排出口まで搬送される間において、前記記録部により記録された前記媒体の記録面を内側にして湾曲するとともに、前記媒体の記録面が鉛直方向において反重力方向側に向く状態から重力方向側に向く状態に前記媒体を反転させる湾曲反転経路を有し、前記液体貯留部は、前記湾曲反転経路および前記媒体が前記媒体排出口から排出されて前記載置台へ載置されるまでに描く移動軌跡で構成される媒体排出軌跡よりも鉛直方向における反重力方向側に配置されている。
この構成によれば、湾曲反転経路の上方に形成される空間を利用して液体貯留部を配置することができるので、液体貯留部の容積を確保しつつ装置本体の平面積の増大を抑制することができる。
すなわち、プリンター11は、液体貯留部30が記録部14によって印刷された用紙Pの排出軌跡(媒体排出路25)よりも鉛直方向における反重力方向+Z側に配置されるので、用紙Pの載置台60への排出を妨げることなく、液体貯留部30によって筐体12の排出方向Yに沿う水平方向の長さが長くなることが抑制される。
(1)湾曲反転経路である媒体排出路25の反重力方向+Z側あるいは媒体排出口26から載置台60に排出される用紙Pの軌跡の反重力方向+Z側すなわち上側に液体貯留部30を重ねて配置することにより、液体貯留部30を備えても筐体12の平面積の増大を抑制することができる。
・上記実施形態のプリンター11において、各インクカートリッジ31,32,33,34は必ずしも短手方向(鉛直方向)の長さが同じでなくもよい。
(7)噴射頻度の最も高い色のインクを貯留するインクカートリッジ34は、媒体排出路25の反重力方向+Z側において最も重力方向−Z側に下がった部分の上方の広くなっている空間に位置するので、他の色のインクカートリッジ31,32,33よりもインクの貯留量を多くすることが可能である。
Claims (7)
- 媒体に液体を噴射して記録を行う記録部と、
前記記録部に供給する前記液体を貯留する液体貯留部と、
前記記録部により記録された前記媒体が搬送され、終端に当該媒体が排出される媒体排出口が設けられた媒体排出路と、
前記媒体を、前記媒体排出路に沿って搬送するとともに、前記媒体排出口から前記媒体排出路外へ排出する排出ローラーと、
前記媒体排出口から排出される前記媒体を載置面に載置する載置台と、
を備え、
前記媒体排出路は、前記記録部により記録された前記媒体が前記媒体排出口まで搬送される間において、前記記録部により記録された前記媒体の記録面を内側にして湾曲するとともに、前記媒体の記録面が鉛直方向において反重力方向側に向く状態から重力方向側に向く状態に前記媒体を反転させる湾曲反転経路を有し、
前記液体貯留部は、前記湾曲反転経路および前記媒体が前記媒体排出口から排出されて前記載置台へ載置されるまでに描く移動軌跡で構成される媒体排出軌跡よりも鉛直方向における反重力方向側に配置されていることを特徴とする記録装置。 - 前記液体貯留部は、鉛直方向における反重力方向側から見て前記湾曲反転経路の少なくとも一部を覆うように配置されている請求項1に記載の記録装置。
- 前記排出ローラーは前記媒体排出路において複数個所に設けられ、
前記複数個所に設けられた前記排出ローラーのうち前記媒体排出路において前記媒体の搬送方向の最も下流側に位置する前記排出ローラーは、前記液体貯留部と水平方向から見て重なる位置に設けられている請求項1または2に記載の記録装置。 - 前記媒体排出口よりも前記媒体の排出方向の下流側に位置し、前記媒体排出口から排出される前記媒体を前記載置面側に押しつける方向に送風する送風部を備え、
前記送風部は前記液体貯留部と水平方向から見て重なる位置に設けられている請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載の記録装置。 - 前記液体貯留部は複数の色の前記液体を夫々貯留する液体貯留体を含んで構成され、
前記記録部からの噴射頻度の最も高い色の前記液体を貯留する前記液体貯留体は、前記媒体排出口に対して、前記載置台とは反対側へ最も離れた位置に配置されている請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載の記録装置。 - 前記媒体排出路は、前記湾曲反転経路から前記媒体排出口へ搬送される前記媒体の搬送方向が、前記媒体排出口に向かって反重力方向側へ上昇する先上がりの斜め方向とされている請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の記録装置。
- 前記載置面は、前記媒体排出口から離れるほど反重力方向側へ上昇する傾斜面とされ、
前記媒体排出口からの前記媒体の排出方向は、前記載置台の前記載置面の傾斜方向よりも、反重力方向側へ傾く方向である請求項6に記載の記録装置。
